Peoples always thought about skyscrapers in KL, but actually all wild and natural adventures may explore just all over corner of KL. There're ulu yam at north, kemensah at east, hulu langat at south. Even Kepong frim and templer park just near batu caves.
There's another location in Gerik called the Royal Belum. It's also where Malaysia's 2nd largest dam is located, the Temenggor dam. Its another hidden gem where they have trips on boat houses, where they park the boat house in the middle of the thick forest and you will get to enjoy the serene and tranquility of nature and if you're lucky, you'll be able to see fire flies too. And i almost forgotten about the possibility of witnessing the largest flower on earth, the Rafflesia, on one of the islands there.😊
If you google it, key in "Belum Rainforest Resort". There's a lot of pic of the nice resorts, the huge and green looking lake, swiming pools and the long and mysterious look bridge that you may want to see before going there. You also may want to check the price and also you need to book in advance if you wanna stay at the HouseBoat ( that's what they called it). I was understand that in the houseboat they provide F& B for your day or a night stay. Have fun! Enjoy your stay here in Malaysia.
@@AbbyandGazhope you two doing great. You need put this "Royal Belum" jungle into your schedule list and hope you can find & see that big flower bcoz it can't be see everyday...it got their season.
At 18:06 from where you flew your drone, several years ago Taman Negara experienced a huge flood & that river water actually rose to that level you were standing🤯 Did you guy went for the canopy walk? I honestly was quite surprised to see just as much living things way up on the trees as they are on the ground. And gaz getting attacked by tiny fishes was too funny lmao
19:56 you don't peel using your fingers, but tightly squeeze the fruit within your palm untill it widely opened. That's the correct way to eat mangosteen and your hand won't be stained with the red latex of the fruit.
Taman nowadays is becoming easily accessible by motor vehicles for better or worse. Not many years ago only the very adventurous will want to go there because the only access is by the river. In drier months it was harder because the boats couldn't get through.
@@AbbyandGaz I used to contribute to the local angling magazine here and Sam (who looks in a split second the Chinese guy with the black frame specs) is one of the well known local fishing personality. Taman Negara is famous for the mahseer and jungle perch fish. These are majestic sport fish.

to peal and eat mangosteen 'properly', you have to gently wrap your hands around the fruit and squeeze until it opens.
