    The difference is Charles was held accountable. Will Smith refused to leave and accept responsibility for his actions. Four days later he still hasn't faced any consequences. This could have ended fatally for Chris Rock. Yes, it was just a hard slap but remember Chris Rock is much smaller than Will Smith. He could have fallen back and hit his head on the ground. It doesn't take a hard bump on the head to bleed internally. Look at what happened to Natasha Richardson.

    It’s been interesting to see the fallout from Smith’s stupendous brain fade, the last one I saw was from behind Jada and she laughed at Rock and his statement “Will smith just smacked tha shit outta me”, let’s add to this if it hasn’t been brought up yet, Smith had to of been smiling walking up to Rock to get that smack in, surly if Smith was marching up to Rock with a scowl looking like he was about to mean business Rock would of thrown his hands up and more than likely backed up trying to cool Smith’s temper, Smith certainly walked back to his misses with a self approving smile on his mug, Rock standing there shows Smith suckered Rock, week as piss really.

    I had heard that Chris Rock was bullied when he was a kid in school and that he was very shy. He overcame that. I think he's an incredible comedian. What Will Smith did hurt Chris Rock more than just physically, it probably gave him a flashback of when he was bullied as a kid. Charles Barkley is right, Will Smith was totally wrong and for the others to give him a standing ovation means that place is a circus without any idea of right and wrong. They all know about the weirdness in that marriage and how Jada publicly dissed Will recently in her podcast and I'm sure he heard it. Will took out his anger on Chris. No one has the right to get violent just because someone says something you don't like.

    This is about Rock not setting healthy boundaries with an abuser.Rock didnt take the high road, he froze like the way he froze in school when he was bullied/abused. The message needs to be clear that assaulting aomeone is not ok. Rock needs to step up and see this through by pressing charges and filing a lawsuit. Adults and children who are/were bullied need to be represented right now!!!

Of course Will Smith was wrong duh!!!! but what bothers me the most is the tame joke that set him off. Demi and Jada look great with short hair, so GI Jane 2 really? That’s all it took for him to ruin the biggest night of his career. What am I missing?

    • @jonothandoeser
      @jonothandoeser 2 года назад +3

      I agree with you. But let's not call it a "medical condition." Alopecia is very, very common-most people will get it at some point in their lives. In fact most of the men walking around with bald heads today have something called "Androgenic Alopecia" or "Male Pattern Baldness (same thing.) You don't go around saying Charles Barkley has a "medical condition" do you? How about Steve Harvey, or Telly Savalas? So let's not get carried away. People make jokes about bald men all the time. The whole "medical condition" thing was just manufactured to make it seem like Chris Rock had done some terrible wrong in order to justify Will's stupidity.

    Will Smith was it worth it? You loss your career in TWO MINUTES Just because Jada gave you the side eye! People learn the history of WHY COMEDIANS are apart of these particular events. Additionally, learn film, GI Jane was an awesome film starring Demi Moore who was portrayed as a bad azz woman (nothing gay about it) actually Chris's comments were more of a compliment than an insult. The world does not revolve around Jada why would people assume everyone knew her medical condition, especially a man?
    To do that at the OSCARS WAS insanity. THAT IS WHY WILL SAID I'M NOT CRYING BECAUSE OF AN AWARD. HE KNEW HIS CAREER WAS OVER...DENZEL REMINDED HIM!
    The Resignation from the ACADEMY only means he can't vote. Will could still be nominated and win which would make him a member of the ACADEMY again. However, Will would have to find work and that's where the BLACKBALLING comes into the picture. Some might say Will has a production company, yes...however if there's no distribution deal on the table who would ever see what he has produced?
    Normally the best option would be to leave the country due to the depth of this infraction, but Will is an International actor. The world has seen what happen at the Oscars...blackballing goes a long way.
    Those who were overshadowed by this insanity, are people who worked hard having no one remember or recognized their accomplisments.
    I pray people wake up!

Talk to a marriage counselor and keep your business out the streets. I honestly think will snapped because of everything that went in in the past. C. Barkley can not judge someone. Man people are really coming out and being a hypocrite when he fought in public and said he wasn't a role model when he was. Will have never done this in the public eye. His own mama said she was shocked because he never snapped like that in his life. This is years of taking the high role in rap when people called you soft for making positive music without cursing still winning 4 grammys doing it, making hit movie after hit movie without being violent when people took shots at him, then he gets married abd him and his wife have done a lot of good as well. Jada had an affair then the AP comes out telling the business so they felt like they had to talk about since everybody think they know their life and healing. People talked more like Jada was the only one who ever cheated on her husband or vise versa. A lot of people cheat when they had already got back together. Then a friend chris talked about jada and a lil bit of will in 2016. They produced his brother on their show all of us. Chris worked together on tv and chris worked with jada as well. They both presented an award together to will at kid/teen choice awards. 50 tried to clown him. He snapped and reacted out of anger. What we all do out of anger.
