I always liked Chris Rock. Now I like him even more. The consumate professional. He could have reacted very differently to being bitch slapped by Will Smith...but he didn't. He maintained composure and kept the show flowing. And on his first performance since the slap, he again took the high road. Amazing. He's such a class act.

When I think about how Chris was slapped I feel crazy about the way I’ve acted in the past when someone said something I didn’t like. This guy was physically assaulted and stayed calm and yet I let words trigger me. He definitely set an example on how to keep it moving and not let a negative situation dictate your character. I respect him for that.

Sending love to Chris Rock. This is the first time I’ve seen people really take peoples pasts and traumas into consideration in a situation like this. Lauryn Hill once said that God doesn’t always use us in the ways we’d prefer, but maybe something good has been sparked by this. I think so many larger problems were at play and this was the result. Chris gave me someone to relate to as a kid with a lot of his experiences. And he deserves the same amount of compassion respect and understanding that people are showing will, if not more.
What happened was a reflection of what is happening in the world right now. It is amazing how many conversations and emotions their experience has triggered. It is a good thing to bring that darkness to the light of our awareness.

When I think about how Chris was slapped I feel crazy about the way I’ve acted in the past when someone said something I didn’t like. This guy was physically assaulted and stayed calm and yet I let words trigger me. He definitely set an example on how to keep it moving and not let a negative situation dictate your character. Sending love to Chris Rock. This is the first time I’ve seen people really take peoples pasts and traumas into consideration in a situation like this. Lauryn Hill once said that God doesn’t always use us in the ways we’d prefer, but maybe something good has been sparked by this. I think so many larger problems were at play and this was the result. Chris gave me someone to relate to as a kid with a lot of his experiences. And he deserves the same amount of compassion respect and understanding that people are showing will, if not more.
What happened was a reflection of what is happening in the world right now. It is amazing how many conversations and emotions their experience has triggered. It is a good thing to bring that darkness to the light of our awareness.
