Fuel Tank repair

Restoration of a fule tank from a Citroën 2cv Sahara.
Metalshaping with a bit of englishwheel, hammering, an a bit of shrink.
Tig welding a new drain cap, tack welding with the mig and Tig welding the new bottom.

oui, je ne montre pratiquement que la tôlerie, mais on fait aussi peinture et mécanique... je vais essayer de communiquer un peu plus sur nos autres métier...

Excellent work. How did you get rid of all the petrol fumes and make the tank safe for welding?

This tank has been empty for over 40 years, I didn't have a problem with that.

Insert a piece of paper into an empty tank, previously washed with water, and let it burn, the flame will wipe away any traces of fumes and you can start working. nothing simpler than that!

non, c'est introuvable. réservoir spécifique de 2cv sahara, 700 construites donc 1400 réservoirs jamais produits...
