Trying isn't good enough though. It's NEVER good enough. Trying just means effort is put in, but still having the tolerance to look at it if life gets crazy enough again. Porn is not the problem. Learning to deal with life's struggles is the actual problem.

Let's pray for each other beloved,this has been a problem for me for years now and I have so much shame. It's gotten to the point where I can't even do the work of God as I ought to. The Father has given me the gift of prophecy and I'm filled with so much fear that I keep falling and I rising and that some day I'll find myself in hell. The shame of being a child of God and called of God, and yet I have this one thing that may just take everything away from me. I feel as if I've been trapped for most of my life.

i'm at school and it is my last year in school i sat down again in 12 grade first year i got 95.66 but this year i want more points more than 98 i believe i can do it and i believe i can be doctor but my biggest problem is porn it takes my time alot and some days i cant study because of porn i became tired and disapoint im really sad now 30 minutes before i watched this again and did same although tomorow i have school i try 100 times to quit but i cant i remember that i could quit that for 25 days then i starded again and another time i quit for 13 days then come back for it again im really disapoint in my live i think i never will quit and i dont want tell my fammily this cuz they will look me by another eyes , PLEASE I NEED HELP PRAY FOR ME IM IN A BAD SITUATION CRY AND PAIN IS IN MY NICK NOW i dont want my goals die because of that dirty thing.

Normally in my advice if this will work, the only best way to overcome pornography is to stay single and self-control. I hope this advice will help you all from addiction, and remember to love God more with all your heart and mind.🙏✝️
Just telling someone to have self control won't do anything when there are bigger problems underneath, the actual problems that are the actual causes that make a person want to watch porn that needs to be properly dealt with. Shouldn't the focus be on solving the actual issues and objections that arise that make a person want to watch porn in the first place?
There is another side to this. Many men and women believe that just because they are married they can expect sex from their spouses as if it is part of the contract. This expectation can lead someone to feeling like they are being deprived when their spouse is either less interested in sex, or not at all, which is their right, but leads some to seek pornography as a substitution. As marriage is an economic relationship, and also benefits children, behavioral strategies could be shared that can enable a man or woman to decrease their libido, or, in many cases, cancel it out completely. Porn should never be used as a substitute means of physical or even emotional gratification. And again, this could save marriages as couples can learn to emphasize other things than sex.
I relapsed yesterday.. I have struggled for a few years on and off. When I felt like I got it and I am good. I relapse, I feel so guilty, ashamed and I hate myself for falling again. I need to be honest with myself, others and find hope in Christ to heal me. I really want this addiction to go away. I know that Jesus Christ can help me. I hope each of us can overcome this addiction together.

My once ran the gambit on this guilt/ shame cycle. My longest stretch was years. And then I fell. I felt so awful. I told my wife. I told my stake president. I picked up running every morning. I read the scriptures every day. I went to work. I studied. But lo and behold, it happened again. I want a few years where it would happen every 3 to 4 months. I would tell my bishop every time. Eventually I started attending the church's 12 step program for sex addiction. I went every week. I followed the steps. I even wrote down all my past transgressions and turned it into my bishop. At one point, my wife said she would leave me if I ever did it again. It took me years to find out, that what I had been applying wasn't helping me, it was only hurting me. I had labeled myself an addict, when I was only human. I was not an addict. I finished an 8-year degree. I support my family. I love my kids. And I still slip up now and then. But I am not an addict. The church taught me that sexual sin was next to murder. It is not. And when you repeat, contrary to what I read in the miracle of forgiveness, all your previous sins do not come back. I had so many toxic beliefs because of what the church taught me. Maybe it was because I took it to the extreme. But I was just trying to be a good Mormon. My suggestion, is to never label yourself an addict. If it's not a major disruptor in your life. Life. It does not help. Just do your best.
There are so many compelling reasons to quit that aren't shame-based. I can't imagine the added burden of going through this and having to deal with this Jesus stuff.

why so many people act in pornography, some of them so charming -- at least on the outside? i just can‘t understand. would they ever suspect doing all those porn stuff would hurt their lives in the long run?
They are lost . They need the lord . Many of them will listen to the lord and quit sinning. I have faith that the lord will help all of us to overcome this porn addiction and he will save these lost souls as well .
Hit your knees and cry out to Jesus when tempted. The Father will always give you a way of escape from temptation. Jesus Christ is the answer. Be blessed.
