It’s a lot like my story. Happily, I am being ordained to theMelchizedek priesthood tomorrow ! Being baptized and turning my life over to Jesus Christ was the best decision I ever made.
when we read and pray each day, when we confess to our Bishop, when we attend church and participate as much as we can, when we continue to strive forward even though we will make mistakes along the way as we get back on the covenant path, we will see much more clearly the light of God, and we will be able to shake off the lies of Satan that we believed for so long. God and heaven's host of angels are cheering you on, even if you can't hear or feel it.
I know that there is nothing in this life as sweet as having the Gift of the Holy Ghost in your life. It’s a sweet gift. One that is very individual to you. As a child I used to think that everyone received their own Holy Ghost to guide them...now I know that God’s love and attention for me is as if I were his only child. Have Faith that Jesus’ Atonement will heal you, then repent of your sins. Then you will be able to partake of the Ordinances which are ordained of God to witness unto him that you desire to be back in his presence. Then the Father will send the comforter, which is the third member of the Godhead to be with you until you see them again.
Really!!?! You were one of the women in the video?! That's AMAZIXNG!! WHAT WAS it like meeting him? Feel so much love for this man and all he went through ♡
Wow... This is exactly what I needed to see and hear. I have overcome drug addiction and now am struggling with sexual addiction which caused the loss of my 2nd marriage. Thank you for your story Moroni. I had lost all hope that I could ever be worthy of heavenly fathers love! Thank you so much this gives me hope!
we just have to let the past go, and accept God today, and forevermore, one day at a time. I think the video for step 6 would be helpful for you, the african proverb at the end of the video. We are all sinners and have come short of the glory of God. You will be blessed with an eternal companion if you live up to your covenants. All is NOT lost for you. You can still have a full and fulfilling life. My father struck out 4 times with marriage. My mother twice. My grandmother 3 times. One uncle 3 times, another once, another 3 times, a brother once. We have to keep the commandments of God, and improve on our weaknesses, or more misery awaits us.
I think one of the greatest blessing of serving a mission is teaching the Atonement, namely repentance, so many times that one day when you need it, really need it, you remember and apply it to your life.
Oh man. The tears I had coming down my face and the feeling I had while watching this for the first time is something I’ll never forget. I felt almost word for word through the Spirit from 4:28 to 6:56 what Moroni spoke. I can’t numerically quantify how many cruel and wrong things I did as well, during my 27 years of life. I ended up attempting suicide to end the pain. Only by my Amazing God’s Grace and Mercy am I still alive and now Endowed and telling a lot of people I know and don’t know about my conversion. Without his hand in my life every time I rebelled and sinned this wouldn’t be possible. I shouldn’t be alive or not in prison. I’m as thankful as I can possibly be to my Savior. The thing is, I thought my whole life as I climbed deeper and deeper into this pit of misery and suffering that the Savior wouldn’t accept me and I was done, gone, abolished from any of his kingdoms. I was born into this church and by age 10 my life turned up-side down. I started being angry at him for what was happening to me and I never knew really knew him or even understood the Atonement. I couldn’t hear of God or religion by age 14. I knew other things of the church but wow, not the foundation of it. One day I decided and told myself I would try anything of this world and told my self I would never have remorse. I said “I already tried the church and God, that didn’t work I don’t care anymore.” It was one of the worst decisions I ever made in my life. Well 12 years later after trying every and anything of this world my only sibling, my brother, was on his mission. I had recently prayed and fasted for the first time since I was a teen. Lone behold, the Lord awakened me in 3 sacred dreams! I couldn’t and still can’t believe the Love the Savior has for me to change my life at the most crucial point in it when I was about to turn to an even worse person. Then my brother told me the story of Saul of Tarsus and how he became Paul. 3 months later when he returned. It changed my life, I learned of the Atonement. Amen Brother Moroni! “It would have taken a GOD who had descended below ALL things to be able to rescue a soul SO rebellious and proud as mine!” If any of you reading this have any pain or suffering about ANYTHING in your life, I promise you. This true and everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ can and will bring you a peace and love to your heart and soul SO blissful, you’ll never ever want to let go. “Seek and ye shall find.” Thanks for reading.
Sergio, thank you so much for sharing your experience. We hope that your testimony will be a light for others going through similar hardships and trials of faith.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints My pleasure. The Lord has helped me help people who were searching for answers and were dealing with the same trails, I love this gospel and you guys with all my heart and soul ❤️
The church needs to do a better job of punishing drug dealers within the community. A popular returned missionary, who went to my aunt's meetinghouse, was a drug dealer who gave (not sold) powerful opioids to people there. Most of the addicts he made were married women, and some almost died. When it became known that he was the source of these drugs, his father, who was very respected in the community, pulled some strings and sent him away to Parts Unknown, and nobody knows where he is. He should be excommunicated and his father, too, as an accessory. EDIT: Sorry, left out a detail. It later came out that the dealer had also been distributing drugs before he had gone off to his mission. Where he even got the drugs from, at all, nobody knows. If he did this during his mission, I wouldn't have a clue.
I want to tell this man. ILOVE HIM! I'm grateful for his humility and trust on leaders. Though I'm young. I can feel him. Ilovehow He said the Savior's decended below all things and He can help us. You made me cry this Sabbathday man.
You are an inspiration, Moroni. Thank you for what you provide for so many, many people, including me. :) The kindness, humility and generosity you are is extraordinary. What a gift!
In my [YSA] ward, we have YSA study the church addiction recovery program if we’d like to, regardless or whether not we may suffer from having an addiction. I took the study. It’s like a Christian-centred twelve steps program anyone, member or non-member can take. There is a segment on confession I feel this video would be very suitable for (unless it is already referenced.) I love how Moroni said, “I can take the Sacrament.” Got goosebumps when he said that. I love how real he was, in telling his story. I cannot imagine a life of so much pain for so long, and finally, he could take the Sacrament and that was to him, his win. A win indeed.
I know that though many people think: " Wow, one minute without doing drugs or without doing the sin? " But in reality, these people are recovering, and they are trying, I know that these people are recovering and are doing their best. They are proud and happy of their accomplishments. That's why I feel empathy for these people. Thank you god 🙏
You are all hero's in my mind, may Heavenly Father continue to bless you is my prayer. I think Alma the younger is a mentor for us all, though he was a sinner indeed he mended his way. You can be a great advocate for the church in these the last days we need your help with the youth of the church as well as us adults. I also would question anyone who would say they will never fall.
What's this man's name moroni who? I feel I need to know!!! This man is absolutely amazing. Astounds me. God is miraculous. Bless this angel , moroni. 💛❤💜 I wonder where he lives now!!!! 🌟⭐💥🌞🎇
Charlotte, I live in Salt Lake City, UT. Thank you for your sweet comments. The Lord has blessed me greatly. I pray the Lord will bless you as richly as He has me and my family. We all have a role to play he on the earth. My journey may have been rough, but I'm happy to share it if it helps others. Share your life experiences with others too. I know that you have much to offer the world.
Through constant striving and effort on our part, whatever we may have done through the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ we can start over. Each of us has a story to tell in our lives and we can have hope of repentance and full fellowship of the Holy Ghost and access to the atonement.
i know some guys who are afraid to leave jail, because they are afraid of relapsing. But yeah, sometimes, in the USA, we do hand out harsh sentences for drug use. But we are starting to change that. USERS of drugs are starting to get more treatment, but DEALERS of drugs are still punished harshly, in many states.
Every single one of us have a mission and responsibilities to take care of with our heavenly fathers:lord god and lord jesus. May eveyone have a wonderful day. Not about the likes🙏👼😊👍💯🕊❤
Amazing Story!!!!!!! But LatterDaySaints U Must Accept Yahshua/Jesus into your HEART! The BIGGEST Decision ANYONE will Ever Make in there ENTIRE LIFE In the Whole World is Whether they ACCEPT OR REJECT Yahshua/Jesus into there Heart!!! ❤️
I dont understand if you go to the Lord and admit your wrongs and ask forgiveness y do you also need to go elsewhere like to a Bishop and it says another person? Y do you need that? Y cant you leave it all with God? He was the one there with you He knows its between you and Him forgiveness right? Someone plz help me understand this.
In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, it is expected to speak with a Bishop about any sin that may affect ones standing within the church. There are some cases in which one may lose their membership or receive a disfellowshiped status. Usually serious felonies, or adultery etc. God forgives sin, but to us this is an important step in the process when the magnitude of sin requires it. Confessing sins is an ancient practice mentioned in the old and new testament, e.g. Matt 3:6 and James 5:16 for example. Moroni mentions being re-baptized and taking the sacrament again, because first losing his membership for a time was a part of his journey coming back to full fellowship with the Church. Hopefully I've answered your question.
MARK 7 6-8 Jesus replied, “You hypocrites, Isaiah described you beautifully when he wrote-‘This people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’. You are so busy holding on to the traditions of men that you let go the commandment of God!”
Soo wrong!! soo not the original powerful program. The LDS rewritten 12 steps has removed the strength from the original divine gift of this program. I love you Bill W.

Yay!!!!
I hope your journey has been amazing brother!
Awesome!!
💙 Amazing!
I watch this video everyday and each time I do I feel gods love speaking to me I need to come back to the church
Brian Hipkiss the hardest part is that we hold ourselves back. We forget who we really are, that we are His. Don’t forget anymore.
when we read and pray each day, when we confess to our Bishop, when we attend church and participate as much as we can, when we continue to strive forward even though we will make mistakes along the way as we get back on the covenant path, we will see much more clearly the light of God, and we will be able to shake off the lies of Satan that we believed for so long. For anyone who thinks the church is too old fashioned and out of touch with the times, what a relevant video for our day!

So hard to really believe God could love me after all I have done and haven't done.
What happened to the previous step 5 video with the woman with the food addiction?
This new video is good, but I too am confused.
Personally I know Moroni is a great man with a strong testimony...!
Great video!
God help us this day.
👍very good
Amazing wow
i love You God and Jesus! Amen
I question seriously the practice of throwing people in jail for drugs. They have found better alternatives in Portugal.
i know some guys who are afraid to leave jail, because they are afraid of relapsing. But yeah, sometimes, in the USA, we do hand out harsh sentences for drug use. But we are starting to change that. USERS of drugs are starting to get more treatment, but DEALERS of drugs are still punished harshly, in many states.
I seriously wonder which came first: the mormon confession or AA's step 5. They're basically the same thing. Anyone know?

Sad you think that.
the power is in working the steps, and having faith unto repentance. That's where the power is.
