When the cops pulled me over I immediately went into "okay yea fair play I fucked up" and just started joking with the cops. They put on my report that I was funny and talkative. So I guess kudos to drunk me for humoring the cops and being very straightforward about the decisions I made.

(I have no memory of this night). Ended up a guest of the county for two weeks...Afterward I apologized to the cop. The only good thing about it was that I finally woke up and got sober. A few weeks in county jail give one a great deal of time for self-reflection.

@@karenburene9164 Bullshit, of course they allow it to happen. There are many instances of prison personnel allowing violence to happen because they 'felt' it was ok to do so. Maybe there was someone locked up for being a child predator or for killing a child or for whatever offends you. Whatever justification you come up with to look the other way and pretend you aren't letting it happen. Don't try to lie to me, it happens every single day in prisons across the country. Add to that the violence FROM the prison employees to boot. Just read your own original comment for Christ's sake. You obviously have a strong opinion on the subject and feel it would be fine if another inmate 'gladly shut her mouth'. Don't backtrack on what you already said, nobody is going to believe you. Why do you think 'being raped' and attacked in prison is a huge known thing in the world and many people say there will be 'prison justice'? (very similar to your original post! Imagine that.) Because prison employees do such a great job and don't let it happen? LOL Who are fooling? I think you are trying to fool yourself because you sound idiotic to everyone else.

I'm 46 today and what my parents did was literally the best thing for me. I had to grow up and take care of myself fast. I rolled through a stop sign and he pulled me over. I told him where I was coming from and that my apartment was only about 3 streets down. He knew I was drinking, but told me to be careful and get home safe. The key to any encounter with the police is to be polite, cooperative, and honest. You'd be surprised how far that can get you.

I know there is no excuse for my behavior in this story, I was young and stupid and it happened.
I was a single father with custody of my daughter. I was in the midst of an argument with her mother and had a few drinks, can't recall what but something propelled me to go over to her place. (my daughter was asleep) I jumped in my company truck and proceeded in haste sliding at a stop sign, which a police officer just happened to witness. I was pulled over instantly, smelling alcohol on my breath he put me in the back of his car and basically said I was going to jail. After some discussion, he allowed me to call my parents to care for my daughter and even allowed them to drive my company truck back to my place thus keeping it from being impounded. I still got a DUI, but I was able to keep my job and custody of my daughter. Talk about Life lessons learned in a matter of minutes.

    • @jbird4478

Even if they do arrest you, it's in your best interest to just stay calm and polite. Cops are just like people. Most of them aren't bad. Being arrested has consequences, but the arrest itself doesn't have to be a drama. The one time I got arrested, 15 minutes in I was in the courtyard of the police station having a smoke with the cop, that he gave me, just having a relatively normal conversation. I had to spend the night in jail, but the cops were all just respectful and kind. I imagine the experience is just a whole lot worse if you're being a jerk to them. Other than that, it won't chance anything. They're going to do their job either way.

Some children just turn out to be Pieces of crap when they become adults, even if the parents did their best and were good to their kids.
Most situations involve the kid being spoiled or the parents being trash at disciplining their kids, but there's others out there with Good parents and the kid falls in line with bad people outside of their parents when they reach a certain point in their lives.
So we can't go blaming the parents for everything if we don't have all the cold hard Facts. Same thing with teachers. They can be good teachers but some students are just bad eggs despite that teacher's best efforts.

Just the non-stop stream of chatter from this girl set my teeth on edge. I just wonder what sort of relationship there is with her parents. I notice she didn't want the police calling them and was choosing instead, to walk down to her boyfriend's place. Maybe Mom and Dad wouldn't be the most sympathetic people to call after yet another screw up?

The non-stop chatter from the guy talking over the top of the video is equal to or worse than the girls. I could barely make it thru the video because of his yapping. He says that she just doesn't know when to "SHUT THE F UP" and then says that she has "diarrhea of the mouth" at the same time that he won't SHUT THE F UP! He ends up being twice as annoying.

Doing a field test on someone that has just been in a fight isn't going to stick in court, especially when the guy was fought 3 on 1. You can't tell head trauma from alcohol besides a breathalyzer, so the smart play is to refuse all testing.

She has hard core attention seeking behavior. She doesn’t want anything to actually happen but she’s reckless to get that parental involvement she craves.
When I was a kid, I didn’t like drinking and I didn’t do drugs but my parents would still accuse me of being a degenerate every chance they got. If I was hanging out with a friend after dark going to get McDonald’s and after something happens, the cops tell me to call my parents, I know for a fact they’d just ignore it. Cause it happened before and the officer ended up losing his patience so took me home and I let him in the house to get to my parents- he went to the stairway door, found it locked and got angrier, knocking on it and seeing that I was telling the truth that my parents wouldn’t do anything to help/acknowledge me even if I was being attacked in front of them lol. Some of us learn that there’s no point in even asking our parents for help
