You don't drink then drive, already driving shitty, get pulled over then proceed to almost kill 2 people and so much damage in her path. Being scared is no excuse for this. I've been pulled over a number of times, and never did I ever think of even trying to speed away. Once I was pulled over for a suspended license, that I was not aware of. The cop just happened to run my plate, and when it came back he pulled me over and told me why. I was honestly shocked, I had no idea; however, I never acted like a spoiled child. I was calm and cool with him. We spoke and after he heard me out, he was nice enough to let me drive my car to an empty parking lot, instead of towing my car, which he had a legal right to do so. He left me in the lot, while I called around seeing who can help drive me car home, but once I paid off my fine online my license was activated and I was good to go. Moral of the story, it pays to be nice and calm.

I watch a lawyer channel, Bruce Rivers, and one of his mottos is don't turn a misdemeanor into a felony. Guess she didn't get that memo. Felonies can affect the rest of your life unless the judge says you can get them off your record after a period of time. What a completely asinine decision🤦♀️
it is so insane to me how often people will get stopped over something absolutely miniscule like a possible DUI, that she could almost certainly have gotten expunged with good behavior assuming she has no record, and turn it into a felony. edit for clarity: i have been informed that DUI's can't be expunged easily but still, much less severe than a felony, lots of lettuce.
" Look , your car is on fire" " I understand that" I dont think she really does. I hope she has liability insurance, because that homeowner is going for it all. Something tells me she has no insurance at all. Hate thst for the homeowners
Is it illegal for cops to respond at this point by telling her about her 2 year old, that it would be better without her, and that she is in fact a horrible person? I don't think i could hold myself from saying that.
As someone who got a DUI (0.2 over the limit so I really did think I waited long enough) and had a clean record prior and will have it expunged next month, I was in jail for two days, had my car towed, had a breathalyzer in my car for eight months and had to take lots of different classes (ontop of like 3,000 in fees) I know a few people who have gotten off A LOT easier. Depending on where she lives she could’ve been one of those people too!! I also have a two year old and could never imagine doing what she did 😂😂
I cannot believe how bad she screwed up, "but I'm a good person" even though I almost killed a bunch of innocent pedestrians and tore up three front yards and totalled my car and it even caught on fire 🔥 "but I'm a good person" lmfao.

You can't be sure she would have faced any serious punishment even if she did kill someone. A few years ago here in my town a young girl was driving drunk, ran from the cops, took out a bunch of fence and mailboxes and flipped her car killing her best friend who was a passenger. She was charged with vehicular homicide, dui, evading and reckless driving. She is the daughter of a wealthy businessman. In court the judge dropped all the charges except the dui. She ended up with 1 year probation and 6 months loss of license. There was a lot of public dissent but nothing was done about it. On the same day that judge sent a 19 year old to jail for a year for slapping his girlfriend. However the judge was voted out at the next election. Big deal, he still practices as an attorney.
It blows my mind when ppl like her cite their children as reasons the other party should give THEM a break… “I have a 2 yr old… please!” Somehow the cop is supposed to be so concerned about her child when all her decisions to that point were made without thought for her OWN 2 yr old, ooops sorry! 3 1/2 yr old

She begs the police officer for mercy because she is the mom of a two-year-old; as though HE is the dangerous unpredictable, reckless person of the two of them. Rescue that two-year-old! My question is why she thinks she's a "good person"???
I was pulled over weekly as soon as I got my driver's license. Age 17. Why? I drove my moms ancient car, and I was young female driving alone at 11pm from church choir through the city. The police back then stopped older cars for safety checks. Cops liked picking young females alone too. I'd get a list of items checked by the cops, and items of concern ( rusted bumper) and I'd leave the list on the kitchen table for Dad. He'd laugh and say "your 2 older sisters never got my car checked so often!". Finally he let me drive his better car to choir practice to avoid the checks. So reaching g a certain age doesn't sig if anything about your driving, rather the type of policing, impaired driving check programs etc used by your city.
the way her mom reacted by saying “she’s normally really responsible” is so wild to me- if it was my mom, she would react by telling me to enjoy my time in jail!

I took an Uber on NYE and I swear on almost everything she was dui. I was watching her speed, she was going 68 (70mph zone) in the passing lane with about 10 cars lined up behind her not passing anyone, then sped up to 85 and back down to 70. It was actually scary. It's horrifying that even if you make the right choice to not drink and drive, you can end up in the car with a drunk driver.
Did you tell the cops or Uber? This also isn't new, taxis have had this problem since the system started, you're putting your life in another's hands with both these methods of transport

The same can be said of the multiples of each other Misdemeanor crime she was charged with.

Moral of the story, it pays to be nice and calm.
im just curious, why did they suspend your license? They never tried to tell you beforehand? I agree being nice and cooperative gets you farther.

She also self snitched
it is so insane to me how often people will get stopped over something absolutely miniscule like a possible DUI, that she could almost certainly have gotten expunged with good behavior assuming she has no record, and turn it into a felony. edit for clarity: i have been informed that DUI's can't be expunged easily but still, much less severe than a felony, lots of lettuce.
People don't think that far ahead. They're in the moment and they're drunk.
Never heard of a DUI getting expunged but I do agree this is not a good idea.

Having a two year old... Well that explains it! She's been taking personality lessons from a toddler.
And then tries to use the kid(s?) as a shield, as if that makes things less egregious.
Is it illegal for cops to respond at this point by telling her about her 2 year old, that it would be better without her, and that she is in fact a horrible person?
I don't think i could hold myself from saying that.
No just highly unprofessional. Gotta remember these videos get played in court so everything they say gets shown to dozens of people and officials.
I think I at least might snap a picture of that front seat and say "imagine your fiance was the passenger tonight".
No, it would be protected speech. Unprofessional, but legal.
