The first thing I did to my 2012 Tundra was have the bed done by Line-X. 10 years of heavy use later there is not a single place where it has de-laminated. I researched for days before I settled on Line-X. The tensile strength is the highest of the major players. If you need warranty work done ANY Line-X dealer nationwide will do it. I don't know about now but back then if you needed warranty work done by the competition you had to take it back to the original dealer. They have the option to match your truck color if it's a darker color but since my Tundra is gray I declined. Now, the liner has faded just enough to match my truck. Yeah, I'm Line-Xtremely happy with it.
Edit:One thing I forgot to mention:Line-X was the only spray-in liner that was applied thermally. It was applied heated.

Bought a 98 Chevy Silverado (New) and had to go from Dayton the Cincinnati to have this done because at that time there wasn't many ziebart's or line-X's around. Since then it started to bubble (2019) so I took it to Troy Ohio where they warranted it and replace the whole thing. Looks like new🇺🇸
Folks at Line-X in Hatboro, PA sprayed the latch lines inside the tailgate and I couldn't open it all smh (2022 Nissan Frontier). Luckily, the latch lines were on a foam padding and was easy to take off. Now I can open my tailgate, woohoo! Overall, this is a nice quality spray. Worth the money to say the least.

I'm curious if Line X has insulation properties or if it's mostly used for protective coatings
It does but the thickness required would be expensive. Closed cell foam insulation is the closest to linex. Uses the same type chemicals and application process they are very similar.

How long does it take typically to bed line a pick truck bed, for a example a Ram 1500 quad cab
45 mins to an hour,
Only takes about a hour max but sometimes other vehicles are being sprayed first and if your truck is wet it may take longer because it needs to be dried first.
Overpriced. I had a guy give me a site unseen quote over the phone to paint my Jeep Wrangler 2 door. First of all, Wranglers have very small panels so there isn't much product needed. They tell me it is less expensive to prep and paint a full size bed for a pickup truck than it is to paint my hood for my Wrangler. He told me it's $550.00 to paint the bed of a pickup and $600.00 to do my hood. He says it's around $300.00 to prep and spray each door (2). The 1/4 panels and fenders on Wranglers are tiny compared to cars so you'd think they would be less product and less expensive. I also asked how much to spray my Bushwhacker fender flares as well. Off the hip he told me it would cost me "like $10,000.00 to paint the whole vehicle excluding the top and tailgate two tone". That's insane. I didn't say I had a Bentley. I thought $5000.00 was expensive to have my Jeep painted Pearl white and that takes three times as long to do. Looks like LineX lost one.

I have a truck linex’d. Had a lady back into me... linex is a nightmare to deal with to repair!! Forget color matching it!!! If you have any damage basically you are looking at another $5000 to redo the truck!!! Want details, contact me!!!!!
@@Slavic_Boer it was the drivers door....I did get a new door..and LineX could not match the color they sprayed before....9 months later and still trying to get it resolved....
@@Nightmarehc130 the point to a bedlined vehicle is scratches durability not SEMA build quality....if that's your thing and ur problem you should have deep enough pockets to respray entire vehicle a top coat......same shit with normal paint the day you drive it off the lot it never is the same sun fades water spots swirls a new paint job section will always show ur deficiency.
@@jshapiro34 bullshit....they actually advertise at SEMA....they could not match so I agree to have them over spray the whole truck...got it back...there are blisters all over the bed...the liner is peeling off the door...they over sprayed the antenna resceptical so the antenna will not screw in...they over spray the bed cleats so I cant hardly use them..they lost the bushings to the tail gate so I had to go buy more..they broke the driver door side window and lock controller so that had to be replaced...they did not connect the headlights back up correctly so I had no head lights.....been 9 months and still fighting to get it fixed
@@Nightmarehc130 there are bad dealers....I had one tell me if I don't break it down then he won't spray it called line x customer service reported them and they sent me to a dealer that would and gave me 500 off a Wrangler inside and out job for my issues......if it was me I'd have hired a lawyer and went after linex......find it hard to believe someone wouldn't reach out to you and resolve the issue I've even seen them send a driver to grab vehicles and take them like 400 miles away to do the work right......but go watch videos on RUclips just bed spray some will hit it from 100 angles some will stand in middle and soak the fucker 100 times over and never move bed took 40 mins some take 10 minutes....I've never seen it blister or peel unless gas or diesel sat on it.
@@jshapiro34 well the same dealer screwed over a buddy i had sent to him becuase at first the truck looked great....he is so disgusted with the prep work, LINE-X peeling off all over, that is selling his truck at a huge loss....they tried to correct a problem and could not even match the color 3 weeks after the first application...then they oversprayed the entire truck to match and 2 weeks later it all started peeling off.....LINE-X is a disaster...NEVER will I ever get anything LINE-X'ed!!!
