Gary Moore was such an expressive guitarist (although credit must go to Brian Robertson the creator of the original solo) and Scott Gotham was terribly underrated by many too. Lizzy are one of my all time favourite bands and created so many amazing songs over the years. I remember crying when first Phil and then Gary passed away well before their time. What I would give to see that line up live nowadays. ❤😢
The song was first recorded in early 1974 with Phil, Gary and Brian (Downey). And was actually a combination one of Phil's songs and one of Gary's. Plus Gary and Phil shared the vocals. When the song was played to the record company Thin Lizzy's manager lied and told them that it was Brian Robertson on guitar when in fact it was Gary, who had left the band by then! The song appeared on the Nightlife album, still with Gary on guitar because Brian reportedly said that there was no way that he could better it! However, Gary's vocals were replaced by Frankie Miller and Phil took full credit for writing it. Cheers. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
There's a clean modified version of this concert now available to view, whilst this song and especially the 2 guitar solos were different gravy, please check out Cowboy Song from the same venue, you won't be disappointed 🤠👍
Glad that you liked this. Gary always put so much feeling into his playing. 😁
Cheers eveyone.

VHS/Betamax or some other sytem that was around in late 70’s.
You forgot to do my reaction for Grateful Dead Franklin's Tower. Do you know when you'll get to it?
Surely Garry Moore is Northern Ireland’s greatest.
In fact all of Ireland, not just the north, although Rory Gallagher is amazing too. Matter of personal taste I suppose.
