There are a few differences between the 3 and 4. The 4 has the cross cutter in the back, it has the punch tool for weeding, it is faster, it has the built in roll feeder, it has quite a bit more downward force compared to the 3, single tap auto blade, automatic tool detection, and dual motor. I ended up going for the Pro so I could do large decals but I am finding out is great for doing large shirts such as 2X and 3X (as long as you have a bigger heat press).
I want everyone to pay attention. Here is a many GROWING a business during a lock down and pandemic. Don’t participate, be like this man and take control of your own future and income. My hat is off to this man. Not only is he growing a business and made a huge machine investment he is also taking his time and sharing with others how and what he is doing. This is a man I want living next door to me. Don’t feel down people don’t participate in a down economy start your own business and prosper. You can do, this man tells you everyday you can do it too.
yea he's a good guy. On the ball.
The directions show you how to set up the roller holders/mat support. The large block goes into the middle, not the end, it’s a mat support, very important to have when using the mat or your cuts will be off. To all, read the directions as it’s needed to use the machine properly and to know what each piece does and why.
Hi Allan 👋🏽. I like the Cameo 4 Plus. Great Video. ❤😊
Thank you for this video. Really helped me decide what to buy. I still want a Pro though. I don't need it but I want it. haha
THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Finally a video that helped me decide which one to buy!! Cameo 4 plus is for me!!
Wow, I didn’t even know there was a pro version! After making so many Christmas cards on my Cameo 2 this year I’m considering upgrading and knowing that it’s really just the cutting width it sounds like a regular 4 would be adequate for me. Maybe the plus if I want to splurge. Thanks for the candid comparison:
I think the real difference my friend is that the Cameo 4 has a lot more downward cutting force compared to the Cameo 3, that maybe needed if your doing some custom cardboard designs and decorations.
The peice on the power connector is a ferrite core noise filter.
Thanks for sharing info . I just picked up a Sil 4 to help me with my scale modeling hobby. Your videos are very informative.
Very good and straightforward explanation. Thanks.
Finally a video on RUclips that's straight to the point
Thanks for watching.
Thank you! THIS is exactly what I needed!
So I hear... a cameo 4 would be right for me. Just trying to start a T-shirt and hat business. Thanks for the reviews
Thanks..
I was definitely considering the pro... plus will work for me.
I want the pro b/c you can cut more than one project on the mat🤷🏽♀️
That is true. Good point. efficiency is everything.
@@adubbproductions Decided not to get it. Heard slot of bad reviews so I’m confident in that decision. Besides in my research a plotter or Roland would be more efficient. 🧡💜💙
I like the direct answer. More power!
COOL. So many decisions 🤔
I have 5. Silhouette curio, cameo 2, cameo 3, portrait 3 and the Silhouette Mint. I think after this video I have settled on the cameo pro. I will watch a few more comparison videos to be sure but I think that is the one. Thank you for sharing!
I'm a Cricut fan. However, I I'm not so thrilled about designing in Silhouette , saving the file then looking for it, uploading it, resizing it, and then cutting the item. As an educator, the ability to do larger images is a huge plus for me.
I bought the Cameo 4 Pro.
I purchased the CSP so I could print out full sized posters. Made my money back in the 1st two weeks.
Been waiting on u to finally get
I have the SC4 pro plus I use it for cutting fabrics so the 24 inch works good for me.
THANK YOU for this vid!! Just starting shopping!

Thank you! 😊You Answered All My Questions!!!
IONLY Owned TWO,,,,NUMBER 1 and 2 lol My #1 LASTED 9 YEARS!! BUT I Bought the 2 as soooon as it came Out i Just OPENED it LAST years and NOW Today It dont wanna READ REGISTRATION Marks!! They Told ME That EVEN THO Its NEW they Dont Have the SOFTWARE to UPDATE it! SOOO YOU just Helped me Make MY DECISION THANKS #4 PRO!
I make life size images with cardboard on my Cameo 3 so the pro would be a huge upgrade for me. On my Cameo 3, I have to break the images up and cut them multiple times and then tape them together. Thanks for the vid. Ordering the pro now!!
You will regret it !
@@roccosorrentino2776 Lol I didn't really regret buying it but I don't use it either cause it's huge🤦🏾♀️. I still use my Cameo 3 🤣
Nice video thanks for the info! Which one is more quiet the cameo 4 or the pro?
Thank you so much for this info!!! This is exactly what I needed to know!!
You're welcome Shannon. Thanks for watching.
I think the pro would be the better option as you can size the roller right?.
thank you I was gonna get the pro but if I make shirts decal and jewelry I can stick with the 4 because even my all over shirts does not require to cut anything
I started off with the Cameo 3. Then I messed up the lever but it still worked. I love the machine and still learning on it but I wanted a new one to make bigger projects. So, I went all in and purchased the cameo 4 pro because of the larger size. I completely regret buying it! It is very loud and very big with all those extra pieces. Which I just saw I put it on wrong, from watching your video. The mat is hard to handle. I'm not sure since my lever pops off, if that's the reason why my mat doesn't stay in its place. The few attempts I've tried. I've ruined the material. Really wish I would of seen this. I would of gone with the Cameo 4 plus.
You would... of?
I think you should donate me one of those cameos
Thank you for your videos. They are very helpful.
I make wood signs and could really use that Pro for my larger signs. However, I use the Oracle 813 stencil 99% of the time because I'm painting. I'd have to be sure that material is available in the larger size.
Your welcome. Thank you for watching.
What kind of wooden signs do you make
@@suzynmichelle Door rounds, porch signs, other wall signs.
@@melanieboykin9455 I would love to see them
@@suzynmichelle Of course! Check out Simply Custom Wood Designs on FB and IG.
I looked for 24" vinyl in my area they had 15" and for 5 feet it was nearly $50. I haven't found a realonabily priced 24" vinyle option.
Have 2 and love my cricut maker the best. Have you ever used the cricut maker?
No. I never have.
I'm new to all this so im starting out with the cameo 4 and the cameo 4 pro so hopefully this new venture works out.
😂, I have a Cameo. The original Silhouette, it possibly has stopped cutting. I have another larger cutting machine, but I just love the Cameo. I've never used the Cricut but from what I've heard the Cameo is a much better machine.
Cameo Pro - does it cut foam board? The kind found at Walmart: 20" x 30" x 3/16" sheet. And can it cut beveled edges --??
I just got mines about 3weeks ago & still haven't really used like that
I have the cameo 2 I want to upgrade for several reasons .
Can you help me with the best decision ?
1 . Cut fabric
2 .Cut wood for small simple ornames or names
3. Of course vinyl shirts etc. I make large baby blankets with sublimation
I don’t think my computer has Bluetooth. Do these cutters not work on Wi-Fi? If not, do they come with a cable to plug-in directly to the computer?
How big can you print and cut on the cameo plus?
Hon, your video's label lengths are showing feet, not inches. Size matters.
Lol. Thank you.
Please make tutorial, cutting polyflex pvc came 4 pro whitout mate. Tell me about setting blade, force, speed and adjust roller grid
Is this worth buying
I am wanting to do signs, also decals for my kiddos rooms, and some apparel. I am just starting too. I don't have either machine. Been looking a lot at the Pro. I appreciate your video here. It has been one of the best explaining I have seen.
Do you think not having one, a Plus inch is still good for the room decals? Or take the plunge and go Pro? I would like to not waste money I don't need to, in order to get started too.
I appreciate any input :)
It sounds like your main concern is if the machine will cut large enough to do wall decals. Your answer is determine how large you want the wall decals to be and choose the machine that can cut that size. All the cameos can cut longer than any decal you can fit on a wall the 4 cuts 12” wide, plus 15” wide and plus 24” wide i believe. Hope that helps.
@@adubbproductions
That helps a lot. I know in your video you went into a little detail with decals. I think I am going to do the plus (15") and then go from there. I want to do like tree decals and such. For kids rooms. I appreciate your response! :)
It's good for decals but you would get a servo cutter way better machines. Like graphtec much better machines. It not a waste of for content bro thanks 💪🏾
Hello!
What about for the print and cut? Whats the size difference?
Good reviews here. I can see why you feel that way. I think pro is just for someone who doenst Want to cut often on smallest one. Pro would allows you to cut many at once on a huge mat to save some time. I think. I don’t know if it’s a reason but many people uses that for wood project or wall project where it needed to be continuous without cutting in sections. But I see pro is sold out on their website so it means it’ll be harder to find one.
I agree. It is perfect if you need to cut those larger projects and be efficient.
If anyone wants a cameo 4 pro there are plenty available used on Facebook marketplace. Shortage if you want it brand new from the store but second hand and in most cases still pretty new an abundance of availability.
my cameo 4 plus just shut off mid job and doesn't turn back on lmao not sure if I should go cameo again
I own 5 Cameos. None of them ever did that. Maybe yours is damaged.
Can you cut the fabric pro cut fabric for clothing patterns to sew I think it would ?
How do you cut up to 50 inches? On the mat
You don’t use a mat. You extend your cutting length in the software.
If I have a decal that I want to cut that is 24” x 15” and want it on oracal 651 or 951 vinyl. Which one would you recommend? It’s an EPS file
I got the pro. I'm new to cameo and I'm lost.
I have a 3 and a 4. The 4 appears to have some more downward cutting force for some materials that I don't use anyway. The 4's roll holder is a bit meh. 99 percent of the jobs people want can be done on the 3 or 4, including most decals. Everything he says makes sense. Instead of a plus think about the cheap upgrade of the studio software to business, worth it for the auto weed lines etc. I've also still got a 8" craft Robo and to be fair that runs fine on studio software and could do 90% of the work I get asked for....when you are doing A4 tee shirt transfers how big do you need? 4 has nicer buttons/interface than the 3. They are the same machine really. The thing round the pro line is just a choke.
I've never owned a silhouette cameo. I've owned a Cricuit air 2 then upgraded to the Cricuit Maker.
What’s the difference between the maker and the air 2?
@@adubbproductions The Maker can do a lot more than the air 2. More blades to engrave, the knife blade to cut balsa wood , it can do embossing and the list goes on. I love the Cricuit Maker. It can cut material to do applique with my pe800.
I do wish you could do larger vinyl like the silhouette cameo 4 pro with the Cricuit Maker.
@@adubbproductions qik question, I just started using my cameo pro but its not cutting where it should &I can't figure it out have you encountered any issues like that? I need some help here if possible my friend
@@mclovinton I’ve haven’t had that issue. Where ever your design in placed on the software is where the cameo cuts. If that isn’t working for you i would have to see what you are doing wrong threw a virtual consultation to help get you up and running. E mail me. adubbproductions@gmail.com
Hello, I love your videos. Which would be best for making thick boxes, the cameo 4 pro or 4 plus? I am starting a business, so I will be making my own logos, boxes, and stickers to put on my products. Thank you in advance.
Either is good. It ultimately depends on how large you want your boxes to be. The pro has a little more force than the plus but the force of the plus is just fine to cut boxes. It all depends on what you need for your particular situation.
@@adubbproductions Okay thank you so much. I will be making 20x14x4cm boxes for my products.
Hello friend, a question, is the Cameo 4 Plus enough to cut large stickers such as for a door or wall?
To make the big stickers, do I need my A4 printer or will I have to buy an A3?
I am starting, so I will appreciate your advice not to waste my capital, thank you!
If you are doing large wall stickers no. The plus is not enough. You should get the Cameo Pro that will cut out the large size decals that you need for walls and doors.
Also and A4 printer will give you the largest size prints. You need everything big for what you want to do. Don’t forget to use my heat transfer warehouse or amazon link when you are ready to purchase your gear.
@@adubbproductions thanks friend, and one more question: does the Pro only offer a wide cutting width? Doesn't it offer more efficiency, faster or something that really makes it pro?
Cameo 4 pro should come with a stand!!! Yep I just want it lol
I wish it did. It’s big enough to sit on its own stand.
Are they all using the same blade types?
yes they are.
Cameo 4 pro has a TON of dislikes online. Lots of problems apparently.
I like the idea of the plus but all my vinyl is only 12 inches wide, am I missing something? Where’s a good place to order vinyl that’s wider?
Heat transfer warehouse is where I get most of my vinyl. Here is my affiliate link .

Thank you!!
Most ppl don't need pro
Lol i stopped listening at 5mins in.... I would use the pro for bulk t-shirt orders that has A4 plus / A3 size prints, if spaced nicely I would save lots of vinyl because there wont be lots of offcuts. It would buy me time instead of cutting vinyl to fit the cameo 4/4plus and changing it out every time. I'm all about working smart, just saying. Like I said for bulk orders.
That ok. Thank for watching anyway Donny.
Can you print and cut with the pro?
Yes you can.
Ah......with the 24 inch you can create entire rolls of material with your patterns , you can do sign writing... why would you get a small one? The price is only a couple hundred dollars more here.
Ah….. I suggest the 15” because it works better for my business and the things that I create. You would get the 24” because it works better for what you are doing. I think it’s overkill and unnecessary for me so that’s what I recommend. If you feel differently that’s ok. I still think it isn’t necessary. Also, some people don’t interpret a couple hundred dollars more as only. I produce content for people that come from my background. For you a couple extra hundred is only. Some people only have a couple hundred dollars and don’t have extra. That’s ok too. That isn’t everyone’s reality. Thee is room for both opinions. There is room for everybody to create within all financial classes. Your reality is not everyone’s.
@@adubbproductions um....ok.... I guess tongue in cheek humour is a thing of the past. Wasn't trying to be offensive. Sheesh.
No worries at all. You didn’t offend me. I was just explaining my life situations and how things work on the other side. I didn’t have options a few years ago. Not having options wasn’t funny.
@@adubbproductions I agree. Choice is always good. I was being flippant, a common Aussie trait meant humorously.
I get it. It’s difficult to distinguish humor from seriousness In text. I’ve never been good at it. But i still think the pro is overkill. 😁
You are beyond wrong. You can keep the speed at 30 for most vinyl (faster than the Cameo 3). Also, the Cameo 4 has increased cutting force and depth
This dude is soooooo wrong! Good reason to own the pro especially for tshirts, it allows you create more artwork per inch saving you time. Just just 1 good reason dont even get me started!!!
This is my opinion. That doesn’t make me wrong. If it works for you that’s great. That’s why it’s called an opinion. I own all of them. You can do that with the plus. I’ve cut multiple designs on a single roll on the plus and the regular cameo. For the money. Like I said. It’s not worth it. Your opinion is just that. Your opinion. Doesn’t make me wrong.
@@adubbproductions dude your accountability is different from your opinion. Either way both were still wrong!
Ok. You are right if that makes you feel better. You can cut more vinyl with a bigger cutter. My point is that you can do the same with the plus. You can cut several feet long with that thing. That is plenty efficient. On my channel I’m advising people based on my opinion. My opinion is it’s a waste if you have the cameo plus there is no need to upgrade. I still stand on that. Maybe not for your business but for me. My cameo 4 pro is collecting dust bro. Last time I used it was for that video. Cameo 4 to 4 plus yes. 4 plus to pro. No go. It worth it. We can agree to disagree. I stand on what I said. The build quality of the outer shell is even crappy for the money. I thought the first one I got was broken. That’s how they come. It’s not worth it to me. 4 plus is all the average person needs.
@@adubbproductions to each their own dude.
Bro you should’nt be making these videos if you don’t know the differences. Cameo 3 and the 4 are very different in terms of upgrades. There is too many upgrades from the blades, to the speeds. Stopped watching as soon as you said the 3 and the 4 are were the same.
You are not getting the point of the video and that’s ok. The video is a physical comparison video intended to advise the average user of these type of cutters if upgrading would be a good option. Look at the cover art, do you see a blade or speed upgrade anywhere? I don’t recall saying the cameo 3 and 4 are the same especially when you can physically look at them and see that they are not. What i will say and still stand by is that the difference between the 3 and 4 are not ground breaking at all. I still own both and they are not physically the same unit that’s clear. What is also clear is that the average consumer wants to know what it does and how to use it, I represent the average consumer. Besides most people are using these hobby craft cutters to cut vinyl and for that purpose the upgrades to the blade and the speed are irrelevant especially when the 3 worked just as good. When you want a faster machine with a better blade no one gets a cameo, you get a Graphtec or any of the other professional potter/cutters. Cameos are affordable and easy to use that’s why they are popular. The people that really care about the tech specs and are using vinyl cutters to cut other material beyond vinyl are not using cameos. You are trying to make it seem like the upgrades are so advanced that they make any of the cameos comparable to commercial vinyl cutters when the truth is they don’t. That’s why the cameo 4 pro failed miserably. They tried to beef up simplicity and it didn’t work. The majority don’t care. That’s why so many of these machines are on the used market. I digress. If you’d like to make a tech video about the improvements they made the the blade and the upgrades to the speed tag me in it. Let’s see how that video performs.
very nice, thanks
