I actually just got started with the cameo 4 as well and the cut settings I use that work awesome for decals is (blade 2 ) (force 6) and speed (2-4 depending on details ) and for the HTV I just use the HEAT TRANSFER SMOOTH settings that auto adjust
Try the CB09 blade. Usually for a Graphtec cutter. The cuts are so much cleaner and great for small detail. Believe the Cameo 4 plus comes with attachment holder for it.
🎉WOOHOO 🙌🏽.. THANK YOU BRANDO for sharing all your knowledge.. I’ve literally been watching you for WEEKS .. Doing my research before I jump into this and you have giving me so many nuggets! I appreciate you! I pray God continues to bless you & you family. 🙏🏽✝️
The settings I did were smooth vinyl. try to use the ratchet blade to #5 and from default setting just keep it on blade 5 and turn up the pressure like 3 to 4 notches from what the pre set is. my is blade 5 always. pressure 10 and speed 8
presets on the cameo 3 worked flawless. htv i used heat transfer smooth (siser, thermo, bflex, results) didnt matter the brand. decal vinyl i used silhouette vinyl (oracal, avery, 3m, fox) cut perfect everytime. this new cameo 4 plus. i gotta adjust the presets. still havent found a solid depth tho. gotta test some more cuts out
@@BigBrandoh Ok cool. You're already on top of the issue. I'm considering buying one, so I'll definitely stay tuned. My buddy has a cutter, but I'm not sure what brand. He did say that he had to change the blade when the presets weren't working.
Been waiting for this vid brotha! I’ve had mine for about 2 months now. I mainly got it so I could gang a bunch of cuts and have it roll from the feed to save some time and vinyl. What I noticed is that if you don’t load it 100% straight or the vinyl roll is not feeding 100% straight, the vinyl drifts and could misalign your cut. Idk if you’ll ever run into the issue, but my remedy is to feed the vinyl through that is equal to the amount you’re going to cut and keeping an eye out to ensure it’s straight. I also get issues with cutting all the way through HTV. Hope to see some more of your vids on the machine in the future brotha! Keep grinding!
Very interesting with the cutting force, when I use oracal vinyl or even the other vinyl I use I would have to lower the force on my cameo 3 cause other wise it would start to pull up the backing cause it cut through it just a bit.
I bought a cameo 4 recently also and I was running with the same issue when I cut vinyl it wouldn't cut deep enough sometimes can't wait to see your next video to see your settings
Good look bro, grabbing mines next week. I was down in L.A for like two weeks just a few weeks ago thought about hitting you up to meet up but that's when all the riots and stuff was happening.
@@BigBrandoh yea, the hustle big time! Just a few blocks down from the staple center is the fashion District where you can buy all kinds of shit whole sale💪🏾 I was like fuck.... How am I supposed fit all this back on the plane? 🤣 I'll be back through for like a week after this second wave of covid-19 chills the fuck out.
I just picked mine up as well I’ve been cutting on 3/10/10 and it’s worked perfect for me (oracal 651) with the auto blade it came with for htv i think I just up the blade by one and leave the rest alone and it works for me as well I just gotta find out what the best transfer Tape for 651 is.
the test cut is a small square and triangle. i cant go off of that. i need to see how it performs in a real life situation. i never cut a small square and circle. but i also test cut with decal vinyl because its so cheap. $1-$2 a yard. i can afford to test different settings to find out what works best. let me know how your first cuts go.
what lever fits your needs. is your designs gona be bigger than 12" wide? if so, 15" cutter would be better. if not, the 12" will work perfectly. do you buy your vinyl 12" wide or 15" wide?
is there any transfer paper you recommend that you print on? i want to print my designs & put them on tshirts but i wanna make sure they’re good quality!
sorry but i havent found any good quality inkjet transfers. i use screen printed transfers/ plastisol transfers. to me these have been the best quality but you cant print them from home. only downside
what up Big Brandoh , im thinking of buying a cameo 4 plus 15" to have that option of making bigger stuff . can i still make something under 15" with this machine ? like a 12" design for example or smaller for t shirts ? good looking out on the info you put out much appriciated , thank you for the complaint department shirt i resently ordered that shit is bad ass .👊🏽
@@BigBrandoh make sure when you cut without a mat, you select NONE on your "cutting Mat" option, your blade will go less deep due to the presence of a mat selection.
Hefdhi Chichti yes you are correct. but in this case, cut mat setting wasnt the issue. the preset is not set like the cameo 3 legacy software preset. this is what i was trying to point out in the vid. thanks for watchin
my test cuts are always on decal vinyl. cuz its pretty cheap and not too expensive if it doesnt work out. i cant go off of the little triangle test cut it does. i need to see a test in a real life situation.
my test cuts gotta be bigger than the little triangle/square test hahaha. i need the real life interaction. but also thats why i test cut with decal vinyl first. i can afford to trash that shit if it dont work out hahahaa. but i gotta have my shit dialed in before i use HTV hahahahaa
You called this unboxing and 1st cuts. You skipped several steps like inserting the blades and loading material. I guess you meant this to be a quick overview setup skipping steps. rename your headline. :(
the title is unboxing and first cuts. no where in the title does it say "setup" or "blade inserting" hahaha i unboxed it and made my first cuts. hahaha so why would i change my title? hahahaaaaa
@@BigBrandoh I stand corrected. I assumed that unboxing was setting up the cutter for its first cut. skipping steps confused me. I have had mine (and the very first cutter machine ever) for 3 hours and was looking for setup and cutting info that includes all the steps from taking the Cameo Plus out of the box, setting every thing up and making a cut on plain paper or using the mat at least. GRAET REVIEW I HAVE THE CAMEO 4 12" THINKING ABOUT GRABBING ONE OF THESE AS WELL ,KEEP BEING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
yo i appreciate that! thanks for watching!
me too thinking about getting plus but pro 20" in coming out next year also
I also had the same issue...wasted a lot of vinyl trying to figure it out...for decal I use blade=3, thickness=11 and speed=8.
Try blade 4 and force 9. What I use and perfect all the time. Plus just switched over to a CB09 blade that is used for Graphtec cutters.
thanks for the tips
Had the same issue, setting to Oracle preset and set force to 21 worked for me
Try blade 4, force 10 and speed about 7-8.
nice! thanks for the tip
Great info. The cut depth depends on the type of htv.

Silhouette vinyl does that. I don't use their vinyl for that reason.
this isnt silhouette vinyl. i just use the silhouette preset.
Do you recomend this or the regular cameo 4 for shirts and hoodies?

Big Brandoh thanks for replying!!!
Does anybody know if you an use 3rd party software to control this machine. Oem is the best but it’s always good to have options. Good looking out.
i have no idea. i just use the free version of this software. it might be proprietary to the machine tho. thats just my guess.
@@BigBrandoh thank you I bought one mainly off your videos.
I'm just starting, which cutter should I get? I can't decide. Somebody help.
cameo is dope! any of'em
Bro mines don’t cut deep at all what settings do you use for that deep cut .... lol 😂 I was thinking it was me
havent figure it out yet. but read thru these comments. they got some helpful tips
Also it depends what type of blade you using. I notice for stencils autobalde isn't the best
Where do you find 15" rolls ive looked on HPN and HTW and all I see is 10" and 12" and 19.5
US Cutter has tons of Oracal 651 in 15” rolls. 👌🏼
Ever considered getting a dtg setup?
no never. not cost effective for me and my operation.

Hey, do you use a cutting mat when cutting HTV .
no. the way you see me using it in the vid is the way i use it.

Any big difference between the 4? Is 100 extra worth it
size. cameo 4 cuts 12" and cameo plus cuts 15"
Do you know when the 20" cameo is supposed to drop?
nah i have no idea
would you recommend the cameo 12" or 15"?
both. depends on what your needs are. but both are really good cutters
@@BigBrandoh understandable. appreciate all the info, been watching all the videos
My cameo 4 finally gave out on me so not I’m thinking of getting me the Plus🙏🏼
So is it 15 inch across now?
yes. the cameo 4 Plus cuts 15" across
how do u send it to cut? ive tried n it wont allow me too
i have videos showing the process of sending to cut on my channel. check it out, hopefully it can help you out.
im trying to figure how how fine of detail this machine can cut, ill buy as soon as i know that it can cut fine detail on a logo at least 3x3
it cuts pretty small. i cut mask designs that are 1x2
HOW DID YOU CUT THE WHOLE ROLL OF VINYL DOWN TO 15'' WHEN THEY COME IN 20''?
Never mind.
This is the 15" or 12"?
15
Test cut
my test cuts are always on decal vinyl. cuz its pretty cheap and not too expensive if it doesnt work out. i cant go off of the little triangle test cut it does. i need to see a test in a real life situation.
