@@kriskarlgren5285 Hi, I purchased and sold the Check-Go in Korea around 2006. It sold so well. Back then the balls quality was not good and now maybe a little better. The inner core and the quality of outer skin I feel has gotten better, but still the cheaper balls are going to cheap. Keep learning and practice good drills. 😃 And thanks for watching.
Enjoyed the video. Note that at 7:22, per the graph, Pro is 56%, not 66%. Also, I got really good at 2-putting once I was able to get the ball closer to the pin on my approach shots. Given all the variables, it is amazing how some of the pros can get on a run and make over 100 feet of putts per round.
Thanks for the correction. I just do it of the top of my head and make mistakes occationally. hehe . Also long time ago i had a run of 1 putts of 9 in a row from different distances. Somewere for par and some for birdie but it was crazy. I could not miss. Golf can be fun at times.
@@kangpga - I had a round, many years ago, playing in a weekly tournament type of setting, I four putt the first hole (short par 3). I was so infuriated that I focused so intently the rest of the round like I had never done before, especially for an entire round. I one putt the next 16 holes in a row (absolutely could not miss), just lipped out hole 18 .. I have never come even remotely close to this since. But, this sounds great and all, but my score actually wasn't very good because the rest of my play was pretty horrible that day. Not making many greens in regulation, but once I got the ball on the green, no matter how far from the cup (some were 30 feet or more) I got the ball in the hole. That was the best putting day I have had in over 30 years of play. It was absolutely amazing and left my playing partners absolutely astonished. Wish I could putt like that all the time. One of the aspects I was focusing on intently with every putt, was the line around my ball. I like to mark a line all the way around my ball as an alignment gauge, but also as a ball strike indicator. I try to ensure that the line never wiggles at all when the ball rolls, meaning it is a perfectly pure strike. This is one aspect that helped me putt so well. I always focus on that aspect when I putt (among other things). I also focus intently on consistent pace, not just ball pace but the pace of my stroke, trying to make it as smooth as possible and ensure acceleration into the ball, as smoothly as I can. Lastly, before I putt, while lining up, I envision myself rolling a ball to the hole by hand, envisioning what the speed and feel would be like. This seems to help me control the right speed and distance of my putts. This has helped me to get my ball close, particularly on lag putts.
I would add to this, short game, short game, SHORT GAME! .. I played a round a few weeks ago with some buddies (I have been away from golf for a few years, going back to training again now). I had two bogies to start the round (iron play is still rusty). But I par'd every hole afterward (I call that boring golf). I didn't make a whole lot of greens in regulation, but, my short game was still pretty darned good (thanks to my backyard training facility). The point being, my short game (pitching & chipping) saved my round, big time! .. If I had only 2 putt the greens that I missed in regulation, I would have been lucky to break 80, but as it was I shot a 74 (+2) in that round. Scoring is done from 100 yards and in .. the age old adage "drive for show, putt for dough" is absolutely true. Off the tee I was pretty good that day, approach shots, not so much, short game, spot on! .. as I told my playing partners, I don't care where you drive your ball off the tee, as long as your short game is good you will score well (particularly putting).

Yes they act like they can make all the putts in the world and walk all around the green taking up valuable time. If you focus on the distance and just guesstimate your line it will make play go quicker.
I think you and Dr. Golf are both wrong about AimPoint. It doesn’t take any longer than other methods to determine the line of the putt and certainly doesn’t use more steps than other golfers walking around the green. If your only concern is distance on putts greater than 8-9 feet, then yes, everyone is probably taking more steps than necessary to find the line. However, line is still a factor on long putts, especially on downhill putts that may have multiple breaks or up and over a rise, etc.
@@williamgothard9323 I just like for play to go faster. Yes you maybe right it might not take long but the people i played with using this take a long time. I my self look form both direction but i do that while others are putting being careful not to disturb them. When its my time to putt i am ready to go and determine my line and distace ready to go. This is the way I was taught when I was young and I teach this to my students the same. I am not saying Aim Point is bad but more power to you if it works. I just believe in the data that there is no such thing as a perfect line with all those foot prints on the green.

If you hit every shot to 1m and have 36 putts have you putted well. No. your video is good as it should be about controlling ones expectations when putting. I have seen more players with a 10 ft putt think this is for birdie, ram it 1m past and miss the next, whereas if rolled to hole would save a shot.
Yes the video is about not worrying about making putts all the time. Putting is very difficult and many factors that go into making a putt roll into the hole. But if you do work on the controlling the distance, you will make more putts and save some strokes by not 3 putting or even 4 putting. In the next videos I will show you an easy way for a beginner and every better players to gage the distance.
Hi, thanks for watching and for your great question. I have been teaching for +35 years. I need a way to teach young juniors how to gage putting distance on the green. So first I figured out there is a correlation between distance, length of swing and timing. I lived and learned golf in the US for over 40 years and always learned in Yards (3 feet = 1 yard) for distance. Remember this was in the 1980s no laser range finders, we walked of yardages from sprinkler heads and the white, blue, red yardage sticks. When we got closer to the green we paced of by yards (easier to calculate). So its in my system and difficult to change.
So when i teach beginners and kids I tell them to walk from hole to ball little longer steps then normal (equivalent to 1 yard). I have learned that 1 yard is about 1 golf ball length back swing with putter in 1 second rhythmical swing like a pendulum back and through. So if you have 2 yards you swing putter 2 ball lengths, and if is is 10 yards you swing 10 ball lengths in the same rhythm. This system is easy to do. So for my 40 years of playing golf ,I have taught this system and had great success conveying to young students. It stuck with me even till now. Sorry for the long explanation, but this will be another video which i will make shortly.
