- For the past two years, the Intact Centre has worked closely with Seneca College and Fleming College to develop the Home Flood Risk Assessment Training Course.
This course will empower students to help owners of detached, semi-detached and townhome style homes to identify sources of basement flood risk, and to identify opportunities to reduce those risks through what are often simple and cost-effective solutions. Students also receive flood-risk assessment software that will enable them to produce customized home flood assessment reports.
The course is offered over 14 weeks (7:00 - 10:00 pm), beginning September 20, 2018, Newnham Campus, Seneca College, North York (Toronto).
The course is of value to anyone who wishes to understand - and support the correction of deficiencies associated with - the growing phenomenon of residential basement flooding. At a minimum, the course addresses material that is critical to the professional understanding of those who work in the following fields:
Home Inspectors
Insurance Brokers/Adjusters
Municipal Engineers/Planners
Real Estate Brokers/Agents
Landscape Professionals
Home Construction and Renovation Professionals

Very well explained! Thank you for producing and sharing that video!
Didn't realize they need regular maintenance. Thanks.
Good point! I didn't think of that...that it could be closed and you're not aware thus your be flooding your house with poop water from within.
Please show the entire unit i.e. the floor access cover
Looks like it's a clear cover. Can that come off for cleaning if need be?
The flap came off and not sure how to replace or fix it
Hi I'm stay at Malaysia.how I going to purchase this product?
I would think this device would really help for people who have a lot of neighbors living above grade from them. If a sewer main happened to clog up the poop water having no where to go could divert and travel in reverse direction inside your house. That would be a nightmare.
