    What a super knife ! I really wanted both the 110 and 112 stealths in Magnacut, saw them, but just couldn't do it. I did get the 119 in Magnacut for my son's Christmas gift ... and certainly will do a video on it when I start content soon. Enjoy these !

      I could only swing one of them so I went with the 112 since I didn't have one. It's a great knife, but overall 110's are a little more my size! That 119 should be excellent! Can't wait to see it. I really like your new stickers. They will be making it in a video pretty soon. It's still crazy busy here, that's the life of an IT guy. At least it means job security.

    That's a killer knife! I kinda like that the scales are mismatched. Really great knife!

      The more I look at it the more I like the different scales. We will see how it does in testing. I don't know what hardness Buck is running their Magnacut at.

    Looks like a great knife. I actually like that the scales are a bit different, gives it character. Very nice.

      The difference between the scales is fine, and as you said gives it a bit of character.

    I'm 57 Years Old (With A Large Folding Knife Collection). When BUCK & CASE Knives Started Lazer Etching Their Tang Stamps, That's When I Decided To End My Collecting Of Them. I'm Not Saying The Quality Has Dropped Or Anything. I Do Believe Overtime (Maybe Years With Use). The Tang Stamp Will Be Very Hard To Read. Great Video Either Way!!!

      @LastChanceKnives  7 месяцев назад

      I am only a year behind you, just turned 56. I do not like the etching either. It bothers me. I had the same thought about it wearing off over time. Lately I have been looking for old knives to restore and I think that is where I am going to be for a while. Its a lot of fun. I'll have one coming up for the next couple of Saturday Stockman Stampedes.

      I hope the Bucks Magnacut performs as good as the knife looks. I have two Chris Reeve knives in Magnacut to compare it to. They are heat treated nice and hard!

      I am glad you were able to snag one! They are very nice knives. I am testing a few other knives right now, so it will be a month or two before I will get to testing the 112.

    Pretty knife. I'm a bit bothered by the way the sharp edge of the tang sits so proud above the rear bolster in the closed position.

    • @LastChanceKnives
      @LastChanceKnives  Месяц назад

      @@michaeldavis4969 I hear you, it's not a perfect knife. The Buck 110 and 112 are old designs. Modern knives have improved by leaps and bounds, but these old classics have a special charm. I love carrying old knives especially slipjoints. Not everyone does!

    • @michaeldavis4969
      @michaeldavis4969 Месяц назад

      @@LastChanceKnives Agree. I love the style. That exposed sharp edge is the only thing that bothers me. I wonder if it could be radiused to at least make it less sharp. I totally understand that a certain amount of surface area is needed for the blade to make a strong and play-less connection to the locking mechanism, but does that require an exposed, sharp point?

    • @LastChanceKnives
      @LastChanceKnives  Месяц назад

      @@michaeldavis4969 I haven't gotten aroung to carrying and testing the 112 yet. When I do I'll look at what can be done with that sharp corner. I hit the same sharp corners on my Rosecraft Briarpatch with a diamond stone and it made a big difference without changing the looks of function of the knife. It doesn't take much, just a few swipes did the trick.

    I am a huge fan of the 112 ,just not sure about the mismatched handles?
    Thanks for sharing 👍

    • @LastChanceKnives
      @LastChanceKnives  7 месяцев назад +1

      I was thinking about trying a little walnut stain on one of the edges of the light scale and see if it takes. There is a good chance that it will not depending on what type of coating Buck puts on the wood. It doesn't hurt to try!

    • @Terrysknivesandmanstuff
      @Terrysknivesandmanstuff 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, you will probably have to sand it first? But then you might have to do both sides?
      Good luck 👍
      Still a very good looking knife 🔪

  • @thebodybeatdownDiTi
    @thebodybeatdownDiTi 7 месяцев назад

    That is strange to have the handles that different. Are they all like that by design? Or a fluke? Still decent strong looking. 💪

    • @LastChanceKnives
      @LastChanceKnives  7 месяцев назад

      I don't think they match the wood, it's luck of the draw on these.

    Hey Ken,
    How does this knife close? does it have any "snap"?
    I ordered a 112 custom (which is absolutely beautiful, btw) but when I close the knife, it basically has no spring pulling the knife closed once it's a little past half way. I'm kind of disappointed in this and was wondering if it's common on buck 112's.
    Also, when closed, the knife is no where near center.
    I paid a lot of money for this knife and would probably not do it again.
    Thanks for your input as always.

    • @LastChanceKnives
      @LastChanceKnives  6 месяцев назад

      I only have had 2 Bucks from the custom shop in my hands. They have more snap than the normal Bucks, but not a lot. It is enough to carry safely in a pocket but not much more than that. Defiantly not comparable to a good slip joint. I will not be getting any other Bucks from the custom shop or probably any regular ones either because overall they should have a little better F&F. The Bucks that I like and are the best value are the Slim Select, especially if you catch them on sale.
