Foreigner is amazing from both a musical perspective and rhythmic perspective.
The drummer works on his rudiments and rolls which is why he is able to play well.
Also the licks on the ands around 3:11 are something not seen often, smack in the middle of the piece. Usually the frontman will cue those as an ending
What I’m trying to say is that for a rock band, foreigner from those perspectives have a unique sound and rhythmic understanding which helps the way they approach those things, ultimately making them a great rock band.
