    I own the black Adapt Runner and what I noticed is the sock-like shoe it tight. When I take the blue insole out it fits better. Overall though, the sneakers are so comfortable.

      You're very welcome. I'm with you on the durability too. I'm hoping they will add a wider toe box too. I'm trying a size up to see if that will help. I think they are still a great transition shoe for people that haven't worn bare foot shoes or other zero drop shoes. Also, still the best in my opinion that I have found for standing/walking on concrete all day.

    Glad you were able to break it down so much! I'm trying to decide on an everyday wear shoe but I have super (like SUPER) flat feet, and wide... worried about the trainers not being wide enough toe box now... thinking maybe the runners would be better even for every day wear?

    Thanks for the review! Similar to you and others, I’m trying to transition to barefoot but the truly minimal barefoot like vivos just kill me on concrete and I definitely wouldn’t run on a hard surface with them. I’ve run or done city walks in Altras which have felt great… but they just look so clunky and dorky as most running shoes do.
    My only question was if the whites would stay white/ stains would come out in the wash. Flux claims that they do and yours look nice so I’ll give them a shot!

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for this comment. 100% with barefoot on concrete or hard flat surfaces. It depends which whites you get the adapt high tops clean the best all others technically they do clean up pretty well depending on your confidence in cleaning shoes. If you're like me I'm really hard on anything white so I'll have some marks & things that won't 100% clean out, but they definitely look way better after a clean. Hopefully that is helpful & you'll have to let me know what your experience is when your 1st pair of Flux footwear shoes come in :) - Mateo

      Ahh Josh. My apologies for just now responding to this. You definitely could. It's not my jam personally, but I know a ton of people who love them for all-purpose use. I'm a big fan of the Adapt high top & low-top trainer for lifting specific & then I wear the Adapt Trail & regular runners for running specific. Hi, I am a massage therapist so the main thing I’m wanting these for are 12 hour shifts massaging. But I also do boxing and hiit workouts.
    I have narrow feet and really high arches and a bunion on one foot from years of ballet. I just went to Vegas for 2 days and I got shin splints so bad all over my feet, heels, calves, shins, knees.
    So I’m wanting to retrain my feet to avoid that happening in the future. With my job and my high arches, which of the two between the trainers and the runners would you recommend?

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  2 месяца назад

      Hi :) Yay, we love our massage therapists :). I'd definitely recommend starting with the RUNNERS. They have the widest toe box & the most cushioning. Cushioning is crucial for those of us who are on our feet all day. I'd recommend the TRAIL RUNNERS they are the best all-around flux shoe in my opinion. With that said over time the flux trainers can be a more stylish option. They are more aggressive on the feet for those transitioning from an unhealthy shoe to a more natural healthy shoe because there is less cushioning & it works your foot muscles more. My barber wears both he started with RUNNERS & then bought the trainers later. All of this to say I think the RUNNERS would be the best option for your needs :) - Mateo

      Ohhh this is a great question :) I think it's a preference call here. I''m on my feet all day & I prefer the adapt trainers. My buddy who is also on his feet all day prefers the adapt runners. The Adapt runners are designed to propel you forward that's why the shoe is less thick from the forefoot to the toes which makes them such a great runner. If you're okay with that, then you can definitely rock them :) I hope that was helpful lol

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  Год назад

      Excellent question! I personally wouldn’t I prefer flat shoes like the flux adapt high top trainers. The runners have a change in height by the toes to help roll off the forefoot better when running. I find it harder to balance when lifting or doing other exercises besides running. Hopefully that was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions:) I would definitely look at the adapt low top or high top trainers for more gym fitness and lifting.

      Great question. I'm not sure on this one you could always order them & try them and send them back if they don't fit with the insert. All the flux shoes have a sewed in insert, except the "Trail Runners". The trail runner insert is removable. The Adapt Low Top Trainers or the Adapt Trail Runners would be your best bet. - Mateo

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  11 месяцев назад +1

      That's a great question :) I have never worn Altra's. With that said I am friends with a lot of endurance athletes. They say the Flux Runners take time to adapt to, because they work more muscles in the legs the way they are designed. Most stick with their Altra's, unless they really want to invest the time to develop the muscles in the leg to transition to the flux runners . I Personally run about 2-4 miles in them at a time & love them. It may also be a preference thing. I hope that helps :) - Mateo

    What's your take on Kuru footwear?

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  11 месяцев назад +1

      Great Question! I haven't personally worn Kuru. Based on visiting their website. Their shoes aren't a zero drop front to back, they don't have a wide toe box, & they don't appear to have grounding technology in their shoes. The zero drop & no internal arch support is crucial to redevelop our feet/arches & support the joints above(the exception would be the runners they should be zero drop up to the forefoot before there is a change in height for running purposes), the wide toe box is crucial to let the toes spread out the way they were designed to help with balance & performance, as well as take the stress off the bigger muscles above them. Last the grounding technology part helps us reconnect with the earth & has been shown to reduce stress. That's personally why I love Fluxfootwear & have partnered with them. There's a lot of barefoot companies that offer these features, but from what I have seen Flux is the only zerodrop shoe company with these features in their shoes & I like the way they look too:) I hope that helps & I appreciate your engagement on my channel - Mateo

    • @davidcassoday5932
      @davidcassoday5932 11 месяцев назад

      @theteotv thanks for the reply. Very informative. Do you think there are any benefits to Kuru shoes? From viewing their site, they seem focused on heel pain.
      Right now, I've been experiencing some serious pain at the top of my heel and the lower part of Achilles Tendon. I think it is the result of overuse (went for 2.66 mile brisk walk over the span of an hour)
      Have you tried the high-top trainers? Do they provide any ankle support?

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  11 месяцев назад

      @@davidcassoday5932 You are welcome & I see. For me the answer is no because of the long term effects of wearing shoes that destroy joints. I could see how the Kuru shoes can mask the heel pain with their design. You'll either have to keep getting more padding/support on the heel masking the pain vs. correcting it. Is my take on that.
      I think your intuitively onto it being over use & I'm guessing there is underdeveloped muscles from your low back to your feet (this is true for most of us) I'm going to attach a few links for simple exercises that can make a huge difference for those muscles & especially the achilles. My mom is an avid pickle ball player she was having achilles problems & knee problems in 7 days of walking back wards & the ATG zero program she had significantly less pain & know after doing it for 30-90days she has no pain & continues the exercises regularly to prevent that issue from coming back. You can follow this guy: www.youtube.com/@TheKneesovertoesguy
      below is my video on their online coaching app & the zero program ruclips.net/video/cOaeOsZZGFw/видео.html
      This next link is on the back wards treadmill & the benefits of backwards walking. ruclips.net/video/UoE4qHbXqy8/видео.html
      Doing it in a barefoot or zero drop shoe (I'd recommend the adapt low top trainer for you to start with) You could definitely start these exercises in your current shoes & as the pain starts to dissipate you could transition into a flux shoe.
      You can find my codes for savings below each video or you can find them all in one spot here: stan.store/drmateo
      I hope with these tools you can get the root cause of that heel pain fixed once & for all. Keep me posted on how I can be for support :) - Mateo

    I have been wearing vivobarefoot primus lites and I love the room and the fit. I can’t run in them for long though, so I’m interested in the runners. Do you think the toe box is wide enough for me to comfortably run in coming from the vivos? Also, can you lift in the runners or are they too cushy?

    • @mateofrancodc
      @mateofrancodc  Год назад

      I love it. I started with the primus lites too :) Definitely hard to run in for along time. That's actually how I found these runners myself. They are definitely wide enough (I have plenty of room for my feet & I wear a spacer between my big toe & 2nd toe too), that's my favorite part of them with the Zero drop up to the forefoot. As far as lifting I know quite a few people do w/out a problem. The shoes do roll you towards that forefoot. So I use mine specifically for running & I use the Adapt High Top Trainer for all my lifting & cross training. I have a separate video on those. - Mateo
