Smith Rock SP/ Terrebonne OR

This video takes place at Smith Rock State Park in Terrebonne, OR. It is a small but VERY popular park, drawing sightseers, hikers and rock climbers from every corner of the world. The trails can become quite crowded during the warmer seasons, especially along the Crooked River, which has cut its way through the layers of rock to form the awesome geographic features so many have come to admire. The geology of Smith Rock is volcanic, made up of basalt flows overlaying older Clarno ash and tuff formations.
