Just realised my other post didn't go up 😬
Cracking video the products are solid it's definitely nice people are finally seeing why I love them so much .also the deep purple is fantastic but if it doesn't cut though the fallout as much as you'd like ... Ferrous duller would be the next step .. There are some tips and tricks that I mention in my how to use video with most these products, like Crudzilla can be diluted down to 1/1 and still works effectively or you can pop some in to your wash bucket . To give your contact wash some bite .... But overall great video great to see your reactions to it all , if you live in a hard water area adding little more shampoo to bucket helps too
    🎉

Fantastic to watch 2 blokes having a bit of fun and using new to both of you products .the new words like lubricity which seem to give you the slip and slickness.
I always enjoy the challenge you give yourself to make a product perform whether it does or doesn’t the answers are honest and unbiased
    Really enjoyed the video
I think Karl enjoyed the experience to

Thanks for another really enjoyable video, the car really looks great. I use Citrus Magic which I have found is very good at tackling bug splatter and much better the Gyeon's bug and grime remover. I currently use Autoglym for pre-wash which seems fine and pH neutral. I've used noodle MIT's but switched to Gyeon's wash mits and found them much better as they can absorb more shampoo and improve slickness. I look forward to your next video and see how the water remover compares to Gyeon's I use at present.

Simon. Many thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment. I'm really looking forward to the water spot removal comparison video. We will be comparing 3 eater spot removal products as well as giving some toptips to reduce them during the wash and dry process. Cheers again for your continued support to TCB.

    Great video, as always.
Like you, Dodo Juice has never really been on my list although I was impressed by Crudzilla in the hands of Joe McDonald over on Car Cleaning Guru during his Grotty Golf video.
I'm in the no layering club too as I can't see the benefits of hindering the effects of the top layer, confirmed by THH in his tests.

Thanks for watching buddy and leaving a comment. I am a purist when it comes to detailing products. Products are tested usually in isolation to perform a given purpose. Unless recommended by a manufacturer, I rarely start mixing chemicals. Cheers again.

Very nice vid, really liked the interaction between you two. I don t have experience with quick detailers but I know these kinda products often overlap with synthetic spray waxes (Sonax BSD is basically more of a SSW even though they call it a detailer) and sometimes it can even be detrimental when applying one product on top of the other. I wonder if it d have any meaningful effect using the the Mint Detailer on top of ADBL s SSW. Does that add any additional protection or make the SSW last longer coz honestly, I already find the SSW to have a nice finish so I really wonder if there s a benefit aside from the additional shine.

Hiya buddy and thanks for watching the video. The question you raise is a question I get asked a lot to be honest. The whole subject of layering products etc. I will be honest, I am a bit of a purest when it comes to this. If I apply a wax or any kind of LSP, I want to enjoy the protection, the aesthetics and the hydrophobics that product gives. I do not really use QDs as I just re-apply the original product if it starts to fail. From an LSP perspective I do not see QDs being of relevance. There are a considerable amount of LSP products that can be applied as quick as a QD which offer much greater properties. You are correct that there is a bit of an overlap between these groups. A good question and a question I am going to keep investigating. The subject of layering is subjective but a subject that needs more TCB invest. Cheers.

@@thecarboutique2467 Thanks a bunch for your reply. Yes, I ve seen that you re not a fan of layering in one of your detailing podcasts here- like the vast majority. I just thought, given there s a vast variety of QDs, maybe that s the exception to the "don t layer one product on another" rule. Dodo Juice bothered to mention it to be working with waxes/SSW but I guess that s for the ultra perfectionists then. I might just give it a try once my beloved ADBL SSW is empty. Given the development of good spray waxes, I guess the really good alternatives like the SSW made the QD category less relevant to the vast majority of ppl.
Anyway thanks again, am already looking forward to watching more of your vids.

Any chance you guys could test dedicated microfiber wash detergents vs regular detergents?
Consumer Reports rates Persil Pro Clean Sensitive Skin as the best detergent without dyes and perfumes. Might be interesting to see if it can hang with dedicated detergents.

@@thecarboutique2467 you're the man! One of the main benefits a lot of microfiber specific detergents touts is their ability to remove ceramic spray sealants from towels. Was always curious if that was a myth

Good video, gentlemen! I've got no Dodo Juice products and I'm unsure if I'd swap out what I have for anything seen here but, I would probably grab the shampoo and the QD, if they're at Waxstock. Btw, this format of 2 people worked really well, you should bring in other people, erhem, nudge nudge 😂😂

The problem with Dodo juice is they have never really progressed like other detailing brands have they are still stuck in 2007
Lime prime and the supernatural paste wax are decent every thing else from the range I have tried has been average tbh
Nowadays the modern turtle wax range is better

    • @thecarboutique2467

Thanks for watching. Turtle wax is a brand a will be reviewing in 2024 as I think they have come a long way in the last few years. Cheers.
