The armor to resist electricity should be 99% resist so you can be an actual conduit and when standing in its AOE it should make your arc thrower recharge 50% faster and increase its range by 30%
Arrowhead logic: "There's a bug a tiny percentage of players are exploiting to use the arc thrower to slap bile titans around, so we're nerfing it across the board."
Orbital Zues Strategm- Harnessing static electricity gathered during the super destroyers descent into low atmospheric orbit, discharges a synthetically manipulated bolt of lighting into the largest enemy near the target designator. Discharges enormous amounts of electrical current into the ground and may chain to many nearby organisms. Extreme caution is advised. 420 second cooldown, 3 uses per mission. Note: the discharge of 7.3 gigajoules of electrical energy from the superdestroyer's hull will cause the super destoryers electrical systems to short out and go into emergency reboot. No other strategms may be called from that diver for 60 seconds.
Nice to see the arc-thrower get some love; it's currently my favorite bug weapon. It will keep the nursing and bile spewers from spewing, which your team will thank you for. Especially when they come walking towards you in a line and you get some good chains between them all. The Blitzer will also keep them from spewing. Even though the arc-thrower will eventually kill chargers, my preference is to pair it with a Scorcher instead which will blow their butts out surprisingly quick and easy. I find the Tesla tower to be mainly useful for 15 minute bug defense missions. As long as a charger/titan doesn't pop out, it will often hold down 1-2 bug breaches by itself, allowing my team to focus on the others. And it stays active for quite a while, usually defending the area from future breaches.
I'm an arc thrower main for bugs. It's four weak points are - when enemies are close like hunters - shriekers - behemoth charger - bile titan Equipping the breaker incendiary takes care of the close enemies and shriekers. I equip the 500KG for the bile titans and behemoth charger Now you have all bases covered for your mission and rarely have to worry about reloading or ammo. As the video mentioned, stun gernades, gernade pistol, and shield backpack are all great. Stun gernades for when there's multiple chargers, gernade pistol for bug holes, and shield backpack for survivability since you will be mid to close range most of the time. As far as your last strategem, pick whatever you want. If u want to hit shrieker nests and shrooms from afar, go get the commando and that will work for the heavys as well. Orbital precision strike also does great. Or if u want to focus on croud control the basic machine gun sentry or napalms or gas all go well.
This is great. Tesla I think needs to be part of it just for the sake of the theme lol For more funsies, I would HIGHLY recommend what I call the "Oops! All Bullets" build: -Machine Gun -Guard Dog (liberator) -Orbital Gatling Barrage -Machine or Gatling Sentry You will have an absolute blast with this shredding most enemies, though Titans and Factory Striders are going to have to be your teammates' problem 😊 Primary weapon doesn't matter but I go with Eruptor usually.
The 50m to 35m nerf really hurt the arc. Also the silent nerf they did where the arc no longer could open point of interest containers really pissed me off.
I use this build quite a bit. My only suggestions are pretty basic. I always take ops My backpack slot is either shield gen, jump pack, or someone elses ammo pack. I have swapped ems for machine gun because bugs. Stun grenades are great, but now we have the super thermite
With bile titans you don’t want to piss them off. One was chasing a fellow hell diver. I started hitting it with my grenade launcher. To save the other diver. It worked great. Only it came at me. I was running and reloading my grenade launcher. I swear it chased me down just so it could step on me. I don’t even think it tried to spew me. Wanted to step on me. Which it did. I just threw an orbital rail cannon stratagem. Because the cool down finally was over. It killed it and I died from being stepped on lol. I thought I could distract it long enough for my orbital rail cannon. Nope. But the diver I saved reenforced me said thanks man for saving me.
@ something about when a bile titan slowly turns towards you. Starts its slow walk towards you. Just gets me. Running will work for maybe 20 seconds lol.
I have a lot of helldivers 2 vid recommendations and I saw one that said incinerator build and I decided to click on it. Love your vids now that I’ve seen you, you have earned a new sub!!!
No problem! I think a great idea for a video would be making the most explosive build you could ever think of. As of right now, all I can think of for it is fortified on armor and grenade pistol, but you could figure out the rest!
I recommend gas strike instead of ems mortar, although it's a bit off theme. Still keeps bugs from really fighting back, but also does damage over time.
arc thrower makes no sense now a days because of the armour pen being so high but its weak against heavy enemies, doesn't really feel that impactful but they should add more arc weapons or kits to make the builds different
Feel like the devs are just worried about a weapon that does it all. You're right they need to add more arc weapons and one that specializes in heavy targets, maybe with a long charge or something.
I have a build video this week that may cover this, let me know if it's what you were thinking. I feel I have a few builds in the back of my mind that could fall under the hit and run style.
Theming aside, is there a good reason why you bring the blitzer? The arc thrower as primary has more range, more power, and damages 4 enemies at once - with 100% damage to each. Do you use the blitzer as emergeny measure if something comes too close (i.e. like a pistol)?
PATCH 01.001.002 added Tier 10 difficulty. Given the TTK of the Arc Thrower, it's not a great choice unless you have a full zap squad.
the ttk. whats that brother
@@hanshans9902 TTK = Time to Kill, or how long it takes to kill an enemy. Lower is better, obviously.
The armor to resist electricity should be 99% resist so you can be an actual conduit and when standing in its AOE it should make your arc thrower recharge 50% faster and increase its range by 30%
Now this is an idea for things they need to add/improve on.
Now that's remind me of Tesla Trooper from Red Alert 2 😊

100% correct. I need to get into the habit of mentioning mission specific stratagems.

It was definitely better at launch.. moreso now just a chaff clear weapon. Still fun but the devs took the stick to this thing unfortunately.
I like running the jump pack for the arc thrower because you can easily charge it midair and fire when you land
I dunno how many people are aware you can charge up weapons and reload midair with the jump pack.
When they give the arc thrower a complete fix I am all in with it. I love the arc thrower and all arc weapons in general. They’re just so cool to use.
They're definitely some of the most unique weapons we have so far.
I heard that one shot from both the Counter Diligence Sniper + Arc Thrower reliably takes down some of the heavy bots.
