Learn how apoptosis, or programmed cell death, is different from cell death by injury. We discuss its role in development and body maintenance.
I like to think of it as:
Necrosis: injured or infected cells are blown up, spewing nasty stuff that can hurt other cells.
Apoptosis: ah, it's time to go, let me just neatly pack up my things into little blebs that can be reused.
10 minute video with minimum relevant information on the process.
i think one person explaining is fine...
the guy narrator: *mentions leaves falling from a tree analogy*
me: brain no please not now we have a test tomorrow this is serious-
my brain, screaming and in tears: LEAVES FROM THE VINE, FALLING LIKE SNOW
I see that you are cultured. But Uncle Iroh 😭😭
I also like the Videos with one Person more. This is way to talking without staying much
the 'blebs' bit was so cute omg
These two need to get together...

This video deserves billion likes
videos in this style are very good!
This is a really great vid and very clear and informative. I think the dynamic of David asking questions and making a few observations and Emily answering the question works really well. Hope to see lots more vids like this. Thank you.
Wait, Mr. Grammar Guy David does Biology video?!
One of the questions asked...
The answer is Autophagy. Another way the cell breaks down to reuse it's parts...
Very helpful video fabulous
Good explanation
ok where is Sal
So, it's like a recycling plant vs. a land fill, right?
Notification squad? Anyone? Just me, okay
xD
How does apoptosis prevent cancer
If a cell discovers it has cancerous symptoms, or something has happened to its DNA and the cell is unable to fix the DNA, the cell will undergo apoptosis. By doing this, it is preventing itself from passing on the damaged DNA which could potentially make a cancerous cell.
So what you're saying is that I'm dying inside?
Or being reborn
That's cell death not division!
sHOW.
terrible waste of time.
why you are here.go play games
bleb
