  • It costs me much more to insure my dog than a GP gets for looking after me for a year. If ever a health system had earned the right to have more money invested into it, it’s the NHS. But it’s vital not to waste any investment. It should only go supporting frontline services that are proven to work

I listened to a guru talk about how medicine should be funded from the seventies/eighties... he said the doctor makes better profits from your sickness in the way economics are managed, industry is better off from epidemic, he suggested they should get paid by us for not being sick, every month we are not sick then we pay, but if we are sick he pays, so if there is an epidemic the incentive is for him to fix and prevent it (it has a massive economic and social knock on effect) if he wants to make a profit, he will find a way to build a medicine system around these types of stats. Also the economist said in around 2010 that India gets four times the results on a similar budget respectively... keep swinging, don't worry be happy...
