- Ever wonder what it's like to win an FRC competition? Well join us in this competition recap of Kentwood 2022. From the highs, to the lows, to the boring middle portion, we show it all. This video is a sequel to our last video, 'How We Accidentally Won a Robotics Competition' so if you haven't watched that yet, go do that!
We're releasing this now to hopefully inspire some of the other FIRST FRC teams and to really ignite that competitive spirit. What better way to kickoff Kickoff, then to see what it's like to win a competition. We made this video to be shared so if you're a team member of a larger team, share this around. Have an aunt or uncle that doesn't really know what robotics is, show them this!

The uneven matchup quals sums up my team's Charged Up experience, a chassis bot was top 8 meanwhile several other much more competent teams were lower

I went and looked on Blue Alliance for how you guys pulled off that Finals 2 win. TWO POINTS! Two points was the difference! That penalty didn't even count, you guys just outscored them in auto and went nuts during teleop to make up for the difference. Well done to you guys and your alliance!

I cannot believe someone went on Blue Alliance to double check the stats for that match. Yes, the two point difference caused from penalty, was a lie. The penalty (even though it should've counted) was not what won us the match. When I noticed that penalty not counting when I was originally writing my match commentary, I didn't think much of it. But later in the script writing process I thought about it more and realized that if our points were fudged to be a little lower, that penalty would have won us the match and would be a direct parallel to our past finals loss. With a narrative parallel that strong and satisfying only a photo edit and small lie away, I simply couldn't pass it up.
Thank you for the kind words, would love to hear what specific tracks you were able to pick out, they're from all over the place. It took me a long time to find music that I felt would fit and I still think a few aren't the best but I really appreciate the compliment. it's nice when someone pays attention to a work you made and notices all the tiny details.
@@redstormrobotics Making a good narrative for a video is always a good idea. And just the general video game music choices. Danganronpa, Xenoblade, all good choices

I know how winning and not deserving it feels. We’ve only but together pushbots since 2022 and still managed to get a win each year. It’s not a very good feeling.
We would have still won if comets weren't broken.
I know it's in the video but did anyone catch which team # used a shooter that locks onto the goal?
