The Last Urdu Katib Sits Alone in Urdu Bazaar

Mohammad Ghalib is among the last Katibs or calligraphers in Delhi’s Urdu Bazar. Calligraphy was once one of the most sought after arts in the heart of the capital city. As the times changed with the emergence of technology, the ink of calligraphy also began to gradually fade. Now Ghalib's is the only link that remains of the once rich literary and cultural landscape of calligraphers.
