you are supposed to use 2 wrenches and tighten the hex nut and adapter tight before threading on the knob tight...in the video, your adapter got stuck in the knob.... the knob you received is anodized aluminum (the galaxy/Cosmos design). it weighs 200g, 2 grams more than oem. the Ti is 280g, the weighted is 500. if you want galaxy and weighted you need to get the hybrid knob (steel core w/aluminum shell)
Heavier knobs should make it feel less notchy. I just got the weighted knob (500g) and the shifts feel smoother engaging, especially with my short shifter plate install.
OEM is 200g, this one is 450g, so they are in no way comparable in terms of weight. No idea how you're unable to tell the difference lol.
I think he means when on the trans the heavier one feels lighter when putting in gear?
OEM is 200 grams... I have a 2018 WRX and I used a kitchen scale lol, came in at 197g. How is your shift knob holding up, after almost a year? I ordered the purple cosmic space version. Different shape but same design. I read that the design was engraved on it, but I am concerned that it might come off over time just by the way it feels...
Ahhh okay thanks for the info! And the shift knob is holding up pretty good! I don’t daily the car actually so I don’t use it as much as a normal person but it still looks like new still!

My friend actually got it for me for Christmas! I’m not sure what website he got it on. But if you search online for “2015 wrx shift knob” it should show up somewhere! Hope that helps!
