Mine sounds like that but in my case the previous owner went straight pipe with it. Downside is the drone and some sputtering at high speeds with 6th gear which is annoying.

I don’t have a mustang YET but I did just buy a raceng shift knob for my 2019 si lol shifter was to light felt like I had to put more force into the gears so I figured I’d buy lol
I can’t wait to get mine in a few years 🙏🏻 I need to go into the deliver ship to go manifest the dream.

You should check out the difference between 91 octane and 93 octane. I have this stuff that makes the car slip thru the air you apply it like wax. You should try out a heavier shift knob, what ever happened to a leather wrapped shift knob.

So far so good man wait for some time before you tune. I know it’s hard but just wait a little. Seeing more an more 18-19s having issues. Short blocks are not to crazy in price an forged internals are not that bad either. My buddy at the track is on engine 3 now he is doing it all now. I would let ford swap the first motor on warranty an then tune it. If it goes after that then go forged N new shortblock
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite builds on YT. Are you going to lower it and/or get new wheels and tires?

I have a metal weighted shift knob and I've burnt myself many times. Also, does your car not allow you to move the shifter unless the clutch is down with the car off?

It's a feature you can turn off and on in the 2019s. It's a nice rev matching blip.

I’m infatuated with the idea of replacing mine with a new, shiny red, heavy knob. My past 13’gt had short shifter and the handle was aluminum. I crashed and got another 13’ gt red w white stripes and the stick shifter LOOKS good with the interior and tan leather seats…but feels like crap and now the fabric came off. I’m thinking bright red heavy shifter ball ugh. Does it feel like a pool ball?

Too heavy of a shift knob can cause syncro damage. It’s like constantly resting your hand on the shifter when you drive. If you want to have less slop and have it feel more solid look into bushings.
Once the MGW shifter is installed I think it’ll carry the weight better but good point
I would research because it’s the syncos that carry the weight directly. Honestly I’d go with the stick shift knob over this and change the shifter or bushing or both. Love the car man

Yes there’s no way that 3 series is touching you with a 10 foot pole. But I wouldn’t necessarily say “ain’t no bmw touching you” there are plenty of bmws that can out perform a mustang
