      T’ was always thus, all over the world since forever. Sumerians, Greeks, Romans, Germanic tribes, Vikings, Han, Hun, Turks, Zulus, Aztecs, Arabs, Mongols, Ghaznavids, Pacific Islanders.
      Your question is wrong; one is either a fortress, expanding, or expanded upon.

      Yes all of them. Before they were 'discovered' they all lived in the stone age. Now they have everything from dentistry to social mobility to human rights..none of which they had before.
