Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at another eurovision entry with a PATREON request for the 2017 song representing Belgium Blanche with "City Light." What an incredible voice, and interesting electro sounds with good songwriting. It's got all the goods for a hit, including a nice catchy chorus. See my reaction now!

17 U.S. Code § 107 - Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use

One of my all time faves

Belgium Eurovision entries over the last 10 years are renowned for their quality productions, probably too good for Eurovision.
Netherlands catched up to them tho. Although Belgium is more minimalistic

Yes it did very well finishing 4th overall.
This is one of the most adorable songs. But commentators said Blanche looked dead scared on stage when she performed live. But the music video is dope.

What? Je me casse was a trash song, this is a masterpiece.
Good song, great voice. Unfortunately her performance at Eurovision wasn't the best, she looked extremely nervous. With a better performance/staging, this could have been a potential winner.

Curiously or not, these last two days i've also been in a "Blanche mood", listening to her music here at home. I've been following her work since 2017. She's one of the very rare ESC artists that indeed fit my style.
Fun fact, Blanche was only 17yo when she participated in ESC2017 (and in this videoclip you just watched).

Blanche released a new album (Empire) last year in May. I personaly love the album, and, if you enjoy her style, give it a try and maybe you will enjoy it also. 😉

It was the best song in Eurovision 2017. Most likely it was too good for Eurovision.
Good song and good singer but a French speaker who always sings in English has no interest and chooses the facility which will turn against her .....
