Although all of the questions seem fun and light-hearted, you can actually get a glimpse of personality of the person who answers those questions. For example: Q: Cat or dog? A: Cat = Most probably an indoor person and an introvert Dog = Most probably an outdoor person and an extrovert Like both = An animal lover. Kind and sympathetic Don't like both = Ambitious & straight forward. Most probably has a successful career with a busy schedule. Probably rather impatient.
Thing with a standardized test is... all the actors and actresses should already know the questions by now (unless they don't watch the show.) So notes/ no notes shouldn't even matter.
