This speaks to me on so many levels. My mom was a single mother of just me and now, 25 years later, I also am a single mom of two kiddos. It's hard, it's the hardest thing anyone could ever do. Im not sure when exactly I fell in love with this song, but it was whenever I first heard it alone, with space to hear what was said. Ive never heard this point of view, and it really halted me. I dont know if Im not angry about things, but I realised that I didnt want to be, and didnt have to. Sorry for the blah, but its a damn gid tune! x
this song was really there for me when my parents were going through a divorce. Even though they didn't end their marriage until I was in my early twenties just hit really hard because even though they got a divorce when I was already an adult growing up with all that fighting and having to be in between these two people who you look up to hurts. she does amazing job with this song and she speaks to a part of the heart that is so Tender that when you hear it, it gives voice to a feeling that's difficult to explain

Haven't seen her in a long time. Transformed my musical world. I'm noticing she has something that MAY be a little tremor in her left hand. It doesn't look like typical guitar player vibrato...and it only happens in certain spots. Also her voice, aside from the typical Ani vibrato, has a weird shake to it that I've never heard before. I'm really hoping that she doesn't have a health issue. Oh..I just saw another clip from what I think is the same show, and she mentioned she was getting a cold. THAT can fuck up any singer. Perhaps, that's what i'm hearing?..... Am I seeing AND hearing things, Righteousbaberecs??????
