Plus, if he simply walked Natalee's body out a few feet into the ocean, it would have washed up on shore. Nope. I think he used a cinderblock to weigh her down, and his father helped him dump her in the middle of the ocean.

I absolutely believe that Van der Sloot killed Natalee. I know he passed a polygraph test when he was investigated this time but I don’t believe that this is what happened. If you look at an aerial photo of that area, it is heavily developed with large resorts on a very calm beach. It is a popular snorkeling spot.
If he put Natalee’s body in the water in that area, it most likely would have floated back to shore. If he lied about that, he probably lied about where the murder happened. She was probably put in the water somewhere but it was done so her body wouldn’t float. I blame Aruba’s police and Van der Sloot’s father for the murder of the Peruvian woman. Well…and the lady he supposedly murdered in Peru, had recently been disowned by her family (some of whom were high ranking government officials)because she had come out of the closet as a lesbian. Seems kind of bizarre would be going to a hotel with a man at 2am…. He was a kid who was a low-life as often rich kids are, who feel the can be reckless because they are rich and powerful, but he didn’t murder anyone. The problem is that Natalie’s family was more rich and powerful and friends with the president. Natalie had some serious drug problems and relapsed during her trip. What he confessed can’t be taken as true - he said he pushed her body into the sea from knee deep- the tide would have washed her back to shore. There was no evidence of any cinderblocks in fisherman hut area. 9 days before Natalie disappeared there was another girl Terry Allen who was assaulted near fisherman hut by some person who was captured by Aruban police, and later released who fled to South America because of their ineptitude. The only truth Joran is likely to have said is she went into a seizure, probably because his bartender friend slipped her GHB. After that is anyone’s guess, likely his dad helped him. If Beth wants to believe this story to get closure it’s fine for her, but is unlikely to be true. Joran’s whole life is based on lies.

Also, I believe the prison in Peru is actually better than the US prison for a killer like that. In Peru he has regular conjugal visits, that's why he has a daughter now, I also read he uses his own money, and he even befriended some prison guards, he is also not cut off from regular walks, etc, in the US the prison for maniacs like this is way more strict. there is in general, way more freedom for killers in Peru than in the US, the material conditions in prison in Pery may be worse, but as for personal freedom there is more freedom in Peru, so nope - it's not worse at all.
