- The great tenor taping Nel cor piu non mi sento in Modena, Italy, 1987. I was studying at the time with his teacher Arrigo Pola and got to spend some time with the great tenor. I have had these out takes for 30 years but was never sure if I should make them public. I do so because they are fun and show how Luciano was simply marvelous.
He is just adorable, like a teddy bear
His smile was the brightest and cutest!
@@MumiHandpan Agree with you both. Miss him so much!
He was booed and jeered by his audience for missing a keynote. When asked by a reporter if he thought the audience was disrespectful he answered "No, they came to hear me sing the song the way they expected it and look forward to the crescendo and high notes. It's not their fault, it's mine. Don't blame them."
Class Act!
He also claimed that its their place to cheer or boo. He was truly a fine man who understood the public. And the best part, it never stopped him. He kept going and never failed to redeem himself. Rip
"In my country, for example, the people come to boo the tenor, never a baritone. They know instinctively that if someone can make a mistake, it's the tenor, because he has the most difficult voice". --- Luciano Pavarotti
@@spgtenor Agree completely! It has been said that a choir without a tenor is like a star without it's shine. The parts offered us are difficult indeed; as can be the navigation of the many musical stratosphere's required to climb and conquer vocally.
sorry, but such disrespectful and toxic behavior from an audience should be called out. it's one thing booing a bad performance, but it's another being so entitled that you only expect perfection and will noo anything but that. one time he was booed for having a single, not even that bad, crack on a high note in an otherwise great performance in his later years. of course, he was humble enough to accept it, but in reality, what he and other should do is condemn such an ungrateful audience.
@@gummypusswatterson1322 that one crack was on the opening night at La Scala of Don Carlos - an opening night there , with all the pressure it entails! - the other performances were gloriously beautiful and without any further problems.
Entitlement from some audiences should definitely be called out.
He complains angrily about the changes, and then tells the man, "It's not your fault, is my fault." What a complete professional, and what a sweetheart.
Pavarotti so humble. He says its not your fault, it's my fault. What a sweet gentleman he was

Everyday I love him more and more!
@Felipe Martinez
I thought I was the only one loving the greatest Tenor that ever lived, more and more as the days go by. He cannot possibly be dead as far as I am concerned. Not right.
Me too.
@@the8thchurch461 Oh, I guarantee you are not. And it's a relief to hear that too - that I'm not alone either. I love him so much and the sadness is also there.Sometimes I feel like an idiot - I love and miss a deceased legend who never knew me. I didn't even met him - I was just 11 when he passed away. It's been almost a year since I "found" him and the love doesn't diminish one bit. On the contrary, like you said. And the sadness haven't vanished either.
I concur I loved him for who he was ..Humble.kind,generous and so blessed by Almighty God.
Maestro the world will never see another like you..gone but never forgotten. Pavarotti the name the man the legend..
Behind the scenes ' outtakes ' are gold dust for fans and historians alike. love them.
He was brilliant, a lovely man with a great sense of humour, I met him once and shook his hand, I was seventeen.
Oh, lucky you! I was born too late, now at 25 I would do anything to be able to go back in time just to meet him once. Even though I would have probably just melted on the floor. 😂
Oh those last three seconds! ❤️ We miss you, Maestro.
Yes, so much.
The absolute ease with which he sings is incredible.
He makes it look easy… that’s part of the mastery of the art.
@@lacarlotta6290 it became easy for him to sing this way after 10 years os study as he once mentioned it.
Thank you for your decision to make this public! What a treasure! Thank youuuuu!
The best comments are always those of women who say he's cute, looks like a teddy bear and so on... (no sarcasm)
Well, we’re just stating the facts here...which we like a lot. Missing him terribly, oh how I wish I could have had just one hug from him.
Delizioso
By seeing the preparation we know the intensity required in singing both physical and psychological
It’s as if he was saying, “Just get away and let me sing!”
The way he poked his nose,
The way he smiled,
His gentle eyes...
The big Lucianone in action the way he was - wonderful. Cuddly like a big (hearted) Teddy bear; just love him and still miss him a lot after all those years. RIP grande Maestro!!
MsMarioMatteo thank you. but please please please post whatever you have of the great man. This is history and doesn't belong in a locked box. Thank you.
I tried to learn this in voice class in college. It didn't end well. His performance is benchmark good. The gold standard.
What a fantastic behind-the-scenes.
That tongue-out piece at the end is as good as the Einstein tongue in that famous photograph.
He’s so handsome in this
What a treasure. Here was a great master, and so human. Thanks so much for sharing this. I appreciate it.
Of Course; Mr Pavarotti didn't do anything wrong, he knows him self and how he was doing it, at perfect moment, at perfect position of notes, at perfect melody of his voice, because he was a maestro
Delightful. He doesn't overthink it. Well done!
goshhhh Luciano's smile is just lovely and that face he made at the end 😂. wish i could have the chance to go to one of his show while he was alive :'(
he had a great sense of humour.
Amazing! He's so cute!
Competent, humble, brilliant, magical. How much I wish I saw you in person✨🌹
Maybe one day we will.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful, priceless outtakes of L.P. I had the pleasure of knowing his God Children and confidant associated director, Bill Wiebel, for a brief time. But I never got a chance to meet Lucho, but heard so many stories from the family while I was studying with Bill. Thank you So much
he is so cute!
What a gem, thanks for upload!
MsMarioMatteo, Thank you for sharing, He's incredible
Last 5 seconds XDDDDDDDD
He is a Maestro for a reason
My He's lovely!!! I saw a documentary on him on PBS and he sang something and I swear I had the physical sensation of being levitated and light and buoyant and just floating higher and higher and being chilled from head to toe He is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!
@Claire
Wow. I can believe you.
Seeing him live (1998) was one of the top five events of my lifetime.
He did 5 encores. No one wanted to leave. It was magical...
Thankyou for releasing these !
delicious, delightful, delivery! the one and only at his best - all around!
Amazing !!! Love the playfulness
The greatest honor/memory of L.P. beholding my wife's tears of joy meeting the great big master (of talent, physical size and most of all heart) in NYC tower Records, was in the shaking of his gentle hand and while grasping his upper arm, as he did same in return with a kiss on her face... with tears in my eyes/pain in my heart and soul then and as in every time I hear or think of him now. The line to meet him when on outside for many blocks, and Towers employee's were frantic to get him out of the store by any means and close, but he waved them off and would not leave that store until 2-3 AM after everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, who came to meet the beautiful soul/him and get as many album autographs, photo's taken along beside him, with handshakes, hugs, and kisses a plenty to last a lifetime of memory. This was one of the greatest outpouring's of love for others I've ever beheld, and transcended any mere musical performance, into a brotherhood of man type spiritual unity in all of us who were there. God bless his great soul for this night of all night's to remember forever!
OrnmiIler I was there too
Ornmiller, this would be a great story....except you copy and pasted this on EVERY DAMN PAVAROTTI VIDEO on RUclips. It was nice the first time, but seeing it every bleeping video? You have more than worn your welcome out. Not wise, Herr PITA...
@@copelandtenn I'm so sorry to Ornmiller, but yes, I think a couple of times would have been enough. Maybe once on the LP web page and again on the L'art de Luciano Pavarotti. All Pavarotti fans would have seen it in one place or the other. I'm so glad you had that wonderful experience, though.
Wow. What a story. Awesome.
@@copelandtenn I'll be crass, FUCK YOU! Let the persons tell the story.
My God, are you so upset. It was meaningful in life.
Get over it. It's not bragging; it's sharing.
"it's not your fault... it's my fault"
wowowowow...magnifique interprete!!!
he's sooooooo cute
Very interesting and entertaining!
what a LESSON ! - his concentration shows, that nothing should be seen as guaranted in music ... fail the other side of the coin ...
Beauty is the bait, behind that truth is hidden ( Celibidache )
i learned to sing this aria by studying him in the original 'Pavarotti and the Italian Tenor'(1992).....
Che buone manere ! Veramente grande l'uomo.
I love the tape, and it shows his positive personality. The handkerchief guy annoyed
me as well. That was an age of great tenors.
Such ease and control topped off with exquisite phrases.
This is delightful!
He caught me off guard here. Somehow, when he is not performing and he is not being interviewed, when he is just talking back and forth between takes, he looks different than I've seen him look before. Very puzzling. Just an observation. Same with the other outtakes, all done at about the same time.
wow,, hes a great actor! can see that song in dvd ...
So lovely.
Makes me cry
Did I just see the legendary Pavarotti pickin his nose a bit? "Stars. They're just like us":-)
Nose hairs tickle!
I love it! Thanks!
Amazing!!!!
Thank you!
He´s taking it nicely.:-D
THIER BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU
Luciano le Magnifique !
Avant de dire celà, il faut écouter Franco Corelli, qui est très magnifique!
Qui vous dit qu'il ne connaît pas ? Pourquoi toujours comparer ?
C'est fatiguant.
Those funny faces at the end... :)
@Euripides Feldman III I think it would have been a lot of fun to hang out with him. He seemed to have figured a few things out about life that many don't.
Pava os awesome!! I love It!!
El Pavarotti, siempre el mismo
So Gods angel was also a cheeky fella....
E' un video, a dir poco, sublime !!!
Bravi
Patience, dear! 🎶🎶❤
Pavarotti does not seem pleased with the filming process!
So many celebrities have to put up with stuff that is so very different from why they're celebrated.
@@andrenewcomb3708 Exactly! Well done for bringing out this point and this is just one small scene taken from his professional life. There were probably many other instances which required more complicated set ups, negotiations and factors that we cannot even begin to imagine! So on the whole I would say that he is being a pretty good sport about this whole process. Notice how at the end of the video he keeps his sense of humor, not taken himself too seriously? Thank you for this most enlightening look into the life of an artist. A lesson for us all.
Grande!!!!
Красавчик!!!!!!!!!!!
El final...Pavarotti divertido.
Che spettacolo
Awww❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well obviously, if you want to record it permanently, you would want to take several takes and showcase the best one
Me gustas mas gordito te quiero mucho ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bombastic!
Live you forever.
The greatest!
La "macchinetta" controlla la scadenza? Forse non sanno, gli specialisti del "bip-bip" che Pavarotti è un'entità senza scadenza: come ogni modello ideale.
Something weird happened to me. I thought about watching this BTS. I think I thought about this either yesterday night or today morning, but then after like 10 hours or so, when I was browsing the "Home" tab in the RUclips app, this video showed up. How is this possible, exactly? I didn't write about wanting to watch this anywhere, never said it out loud, just thought about watching it. And remember, it was this EXACT video, in which you can see the "BTS" of making the actual video song. Two things must be possible: either RUclips can read my thoughts, which sounds absurd, but looking at the advanced technology "apparently" created by human beings, this shouldn't be that much of a surprise, maybe the "nurses" injected some micro "chip" or something similar when I was born. Or maybe I can somehow control what videos the "Home" tab of youtube can show me just by thinking about a certain video. Now, these kind of "coincidences" happened multiple times in my life, but most of them were generally related to the "Electronic" devices. I could write about my other experiences if anyone is interested.
I've had same experiences over the years with internet. Possibly even with RUclips. Thoughts manifesting into reality or precognitions? Or dreaming about the subject and talking while asleep and the phone records it. Or, heaven knows 🤷♀️🤷♀️
@@veraahllof Exactly bud... very fascinating...
@@veraahllof I'm think it's precognitions... but I guess it's not really up to me to know the exact truth. I mean, phones do record our voices, but not our thoughts lol...
Lol… the first few sounds from his mouth is more important than most people realize ;)

The killing look 2:46
Wouldn't want him upset with me! lol
I would have been heartbroken if he looked me that way. But I would have done my everything to fix if it was my mistake.
I an see why this wasn't seen before. Really needs to be edited.
What is he smelling on his fingers? Something to keep his nostrils open maybe? I would like to know because I suffer from blocked nostrils all the time...
Lemon in water.
Psalm 10:15-16
Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer; call his wickedness to account till You find none. The Lord is king forever and ever; the nations perish from His land.
Who the hell was filming this ?
those beeps are annoying, old school ways i guess! Pavorotti, voice from God!
Nowadays, Mario, do you still sing?
Willzito I have a concert on Friday where I pay tribute to Richard Tucker and Jan Peerce.
Hasta Pavarotti se equivoca . ? O estaría probando el sonido 0.o
