Yes, You're absolutely right. Early Decelerations are considered physiological. When the uterus contracts, the fetal ICP increases causing increased vagal tone. AND also variable dec. are also bad
Thanku was quite helpful.. still variability was difficult to understand also I couldn't get that that one box is a min then for acceleration why 2 boxes( I.e 2 min) said as 15 bpm?
what if the result of the test in NONSTRESS test indicate non-reactive findings, and the CONTRACTION STRESS TEST result are negative. would I interpret it as ABNORMAL because Non-reactive finding are bad, or would I interpret it as NORMAL because negative result is represented as no late deceleration of FHR? where would I base my Interpretation?
Excuse me?! At 15:05, the 3rd wave he showed was NOT an example of baseline variability because it didn't last at least 10 minutes. It was a prolonged acceleration because it was between 2 minutes and 10 minutes. Psh…shoooooooooooot.^-^. Important to know that decelerations/accelerations that last longer than 2 minutes and less than 10 are called "prolonged". Also recurrent ones are ones occurring with contractions at least 50% of the time over a 2 minute span. Intermittent ones occur with contractions less than 50% of the time during a 2 minute window. ;) I'm curious what he means when he talks about reactive vs nonreactive. Is this during the non stress test or is this during what's called a "stress test", or is there not such a thing?
Thank you so much. I've started my residency in Gynecology and no one was able to explain all this to me. Your video is awesome
Great comprehensive video. Covers all the required details not just for the exam but also future practice. Thank you.!

Thanks for clearing up the FHR strips for me. No one was going into detail like you did, and I have a test on this tomorrow morning...saved my bacon!

Highly informative!
wow! This is excellent.
this is amazing!! thanks so much for uploading.
the only thing that was confusing for me is when you wrote deceleration were bad, but i thought early decelerations were good, just late ones were bad

Is there a video on how to interpret duration, freq & intensity of contractions
very informative
thank you. it is useful
Extremely helpful !! Signed a Future RN LOL
very helpful ..thank you very much ~
This is so good
than you very much. it was really helpful..
Thank you so much

Perfekt
At around 17 mins ... arent we talking abt decelerations ? ..early, late etc ?
Thank you for referring to the unborn patient as a child. He or she is alive in there and definitely a human being 🤓
someone always has to go there
Thank you
thanks alot! ur video helped alot

what is the difference between decceleration and bradycardia;
thank you
what is difference between deceleration and bradycardiac?
deceleration will return to baseline while bradycardiac wont return to baseline...

when is this usually done? During pregnancy or just before giving birth?
During pregnancy
+Momo Ritsu during pregnancy. sometimes before an external cephalic version . or it could be when the patients starts the contractions for delivery.
YOU ARE GOD
Thank youu
Thanks
nice
The explanation for marked variability is crooked
Every little square is 10 seconds. So 2 little square does not equal 1 min. You should take this down . It is inaccurate!

Excellent breakdown on NST interpretation.
