This smells like vanilla cupcakes 🧁 on me. I wear it at home during the colder seasons and I love it.
I am obsessed with this one right now… this gets better and better overtime… and now on me this smells like cottoncandy and yes, cupcakes 😍
I think this perfume is a weird one , how it plays not so pleasant smelling at first but when it settles with time it changes into something else. It starts off smelling cheap then turns into something better.. It's a trip.
Right ?! At first i was like OH NO !!!! but when it develops, and as it dries down, it is just beautiful… verrrrry sweet… but i love it 💗💗💗
Great video! I never thought about the different notes. I bought it years ago from first sniff, but it makes a lot of sense what expectations you would have. I had to sniff it again to smell the citrus. I never knew that was in there or any fig! Thanks for sharing!

Such an interesting and in depth review of this perfume which until now I have dismissed. I thought it would have been like a light sweet body spray type of thing but this sounds so interesting :) I had no idea that it had so many different notes in it! Loving your makeup, your eyeshadow reminds me of candy floss / spun sugar. Great review!

You are right, this perfume is more than just your sweet burnt sugar cotton candy type, and I am for sure guilty of describing it that simple way. I guess I just figure that everyone has smelled this one already, so I never bothered to go too deep into describing it but I suppose that could be misleading! Good review!

I think that kathleen lights video is also the one that urge me to get this perfume. I have mine for about 2 years now and im loving it the moment i got it, also my first gourmand scent! I only wear it on colder weather though, as i find it sickeningly sweet on hotter days

I saw this perfume at Marshals and I bought it right away. I was so happy but then when I sprayed on my wrist.... dang!! It was so sweet... sickly sweet.. I was so disappointed because everyone love it. My son loves the scent. I’m glad just watched your video. I’ll give a chance hope it grows on me. Glad it’s cold right now. I can’t imagine wearing this on summer day. I’m a big fan of escada.
Vernie11 you’re in a way lucky coz you immediately got the sweet notes... i got yucky citrus 😂😂😂 anyway, i used it as room spray, linen spray and i was so stubborn and kept spraying it on my clothes.. once the harsh punch-in-the-face entrance leaves, it is beautiful... hope you will give it a try 💓
Vernie- I love perfumes that are sweet and I been wanting to buy this perfume for a long time lol well I finally got it and wow it is super sweet and I was also disappointed my 6 year old daughter likes it lol

Ooooh Aquolina Is 💯% an italian brand and, event though I don't like gourmands so much, is one of that scent that, when I was a teenager (😩 years and years ago) everybody wore.. so many memories!! 😍

I have never tried this one but have seen alot of reviews on it so I think its time I try it since its so affordable.🥰🥰 If I end up not vibing with it, Im sure my daughter will be more then happy to inherit it🤣 so it wont be for nothing.
that's exactly how I felt with this :) i went ahead and got it and i'll give it away if i dont like it. almost did JUST that as SOON as I SPRAYED it.. hahaha... but thankfully I gave it another shot... :)
yessss!!! Great review! There is a citrus opening, I think most that are super accustom to pink sugar go nose blind to the citrus opening. I also love pink sugar but I don't find it sickly sweet lmao. it's quite airy and cloudy on me lol
ItsMJ yeah i don’t notice the citrus as much as when i first got it. It’s still there, but i appreciate the sweetness more now.. and i love this.. i wear this a lot 💗
I ordered a bottle of Pink Sugar a couple of day's ago. I was thinking about Profumum Roma's Aqua e Zucchero but the price is very very high for a linear and simple fragrance.
It is supposed to be very similar to Pink Sugar but higher in quality, but Pink Sugar is so inexpensive so there is nothing to lose.
Besides, i may love Pink Sugar when it arrives it is well worth taking a chance on it.

Oooh there is a refined version of Pink Sugar? 😊 need to check that one out.. maybe i can get a sample or whatever... but yes, i do love the pink sugar. Probably the most polarizing in my perfume collection.. together with This is Her 🤣 but i love them ....
@@PaolaBianka Yes, and Profumum Roma always use 42% pure perfume oil in all of there fragrances so you always get the longevity, and there perfumes smell very very authentic indeed. Nothing i have or have sampled from Profumum Roma smells synthetic and the juices in there bottles are absolutely amazing and delicious, you have to rub the fragrance into your skin after applying because of the amount of oil in them.

I have a similar experience. I expected to smell a sweet vanilla but was disappointed when I didn't smell that on first sniff. I gave it another chance and now I really like it. I've learned that expectations can ruin my experience with fragrances, so I shouldn't expect something before trying a new fragrance; I should just experience it without any expectations.
M R agree 100 percent! It is the expectations that kinda ruinthe whole excitement... 😂🤣

@Fiona Carvell Maybe 2 at first. (I use 1 spray on each side of my neck.) Then you can see if that's enough for you. It's kinda strong, in my opinion, so better to start small and add more later, if desired.
I got it this week! Its like catnip to me 😂 yesterday i used a peach based showergel and then i sprayed some pink sugar...i smelled so delicious😍like a pie. It makes me happy😄
The other notes pop out more than the cotton candy on me. But its really a good perfume. Great review 💕💖
Oh that’s a great idea!!!! Layering!!! I do layer mine with other sweet fragrances.. interesting how it would be to layer with other notes! It is very addictive, right??? 💓💓💓

I just tried this perfume and I never wore this as a kid but it reminds me of my childhood but I am a girly girl and loved Barbie so that might be what I'm smelling sorta like a strawberry shortcake Barbie or baby doll idk
It does give off that vibe, I agree... 💕💕💕 it smells pleasantly familiar....
Have you tried delious cotton candy? People says it smells like pink sugar. I just ordered pink sugar I will be pairing it with cotton candy clouds from bathandbodyworks

Hi Paola. I came across your chanel looking for review about pink sugar. And boy oh boy, my experienced with the bottle, .. initially is exactly how you described it. Everyone is raving about this perfume for a while now from my friends to my colleagues at work and lateLy from my nieces and nephews. LOL. I have decided to give it a go and get a bottle as I am about to order some spring summer scents. My orders came today and it was the first bottle I opened. I was so so disappointed with the smell as it was nothing like how everyone describe it to be. It is exactly how your words are in your review. I will let it sit for the night and use it tomorrow maybe and I am hoping that I will have the same experience as you did and finally like it. I am glad I came across your chanel. Subscribing now. Ahhh thank you Meliya... anyway, yeah... i was also super underwhelmed as i expected a super sweet scent straight away... this happens to be a sweet spicy scent in the beginning... i suggest waiting on it... and spraying it in the air a few times ... i guess that “activates” the oils. I dunno. LOL ... but let me k ow what you think of it !!!! 💗💗💗
i used to own this like 10 years ago and it used to be like super sweet caramel. but over the years they changed the formula and its not sweet anymore and does not smell the same :( . i wish they did not change it.

I bought my first bottle three weeks ago. I have given it many chances - but all I get is baby powder. I pick up on a bit of cotton candy note, but I might as well just put on baby powder, which I hate!! Not my style, but now I’m experimenting and mixing it with other fragrances so it doesn’t go to waste. To me, it’s gross.
gross was also the word that came to mind when I first smelled it... i literally wanted to just throw it right away LOL

Helen Rezk thank you! I layer it for example with Gold Couture. Or a new discovery is with Ari, and it apparently smells like Kilian’s Princess? I am not sure exactly, coz i don’t own that. I just saw that in Vallivon’s insta. But it smells gorgeous. I also try to pair it with DG pour femme, but it overpowers her 🙃
When you say "Sweet" Ariana sweet like candy sweet????? I'm confused ?
Hi there ! "sweet" as in like how the fragrance is? this to me is citrus, sugary, sweet... Sweet like Candy by Ariana to me is creamier and somewhat milky in terms of texture.. and fruity in terms of sweetness... Pink Sugar on the other hand is rough in terms of the texture, could be because of the candy floss note where it gets a lot of sweetness from, and the citrus and spice combo..
I did not get the citrus but I felt everything and did everything you said lol, at first I disliked and was so disappointed to.

Okay just finishing your review a couple of hours ago. I went up to ulta to try to smell this and I was told they only sell it online. So I remember when going in TJ Maxx in the past they always will have gift sets so I decided to go next door to TJ Maxx and of course they had one gift set their that was slightly open so I was able to spray it on my hand. Yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck I hated it. It was strong a little sweet but more of a burnt bitter smell I hated it. I said okay let me leave it on in the store. The scent died down but I still didn't like it enough to purchase it at the time although the gift set was cheap 1.7 oz 20 bucks with the shower gel. As I left the store got in my car and got back home I smelled my hand again......I like it SMH LOL oh well I'll be going back up there to get a gift set. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

I had the exact same experience that I've been ignoring it for years. I'd say almost a decade! But lately, I've been hoarding perfumes from my past and gave this one another chance. I got so mad at myself for staying away from what supposedly I would have as a signature scent. Sometimes talaga your soul mate nanjan lang sa tabi tabi, matagal na, pero iniisnab mo lang haha 😁

It is very juvenile. Nothing special about it. Eating candy is one thing, but to smell like sugary candy does not seem appealing. It can be quite nauseating also.
juvenile... yes, it is :) not complex or anything like that, but that is the reason why i love it... HATED it in the beginning, but i grew to love this one... obnoxiously sweet and juvenile :)

Maybe your perfume is old or gone bad
This perfume have kilos of cotton candy and caramel strawberry from the start to finish.
This perfume don't smell at all any citrus note.
I did get a lot of the cotton candy with this after a few wears 💕😊

Don't forget that this perfume is very old,early 00's .
Careful where you buy your perfumes.

@@PaolaBianka if sugar could spoil I'd imagine that's what it would smell like. Tried it twice on two different occasions from two different places and still got that same nasty smell. Maybe it's cause I was watching the reviews and expecting so much from it why it didn't smell good to me AT ALL. I accidentally bought the pink flower (blind buy) on a website instead of pink sugar and I'm glad I did, because the pink flower smells so good and has such a lasting scent. Absolutely hate pink sugar.
