I think, but im not sure, when you combine all 13 months together, you get the final key, for the final floor on the tower, that Jahad didn't want to enter. That's why, he took the key and broke it into 13 different pieces-weapons.

in terms of 13 months it usually depends on the person who wields it,if the weapon refuses to lend it strength then the weapon itself is not as powerful as it should be
Evan's (the short guide guy's) dialogue here really helps both the sense of urgency and the feeling of shock or surprise as things unfold. I think this dude's voice actor really helped carry this scene in a way that probably would go completely unnoticed. When they said this would have an all-star seiyuu cast, it seems they weren't just talking about 4 or 5 lead characters, they meant practically everyone, because they know that even the characters you don't expect have many roles to play throughout the series.

That's why I like it when a series gets an adaptation late in the game, because with 100's of chapters to analyze, they won't make any careless assumptions or mistakes.

“Spoilers” (word used loosely here it’s just info for people wondering what the weapon is)
Like in this anime and story it’s set 1:1 so you find out about the place with the protagonists. And even people like me who are 475+ chapters deep into the WEBTOON are still finding out more, but I’ll give (not a spoiler but information) but I’ll say * spoilers* anyways
Black March is an ignition weapon, they’re super rare, black March is even rarer as it’s part of the 13 month series, 13 “weapons” that only princesses are entitled to and they are extraordinarily powerful. Ignition weapons are similar to a shikai in bleach only some are stronger, closer to a bankai, others weaker, as seen some (maybe all) have their own personalities. So an ignition weapon, upon asking for strength or asking it to ignite, changes form, grants massive power, and can grant unique abilities. Even some of the highest ranked individuals in the tower would find them hard to come by, and hence why it’s such a big deal at the end of the episode.
dont forget that the 13 months series form a key to enter the higher stages in tower i think it was floor 134 were king jahad closed the gate and the 13 months series got crafted and the fact that no princess had more then 3 series the last one with 2 became insane and went berserk after igniting 2 series

@@matthewvorndran6931 Swords and needles exist as separate things in the story though. The plot goes such that everyone uses needles because the shinsoo/shinsu creates resistance so swords are not efficient to use.

Ok in Anime they made it a bladed sword rapier class. A needle is still a rapier class sword similar to a foil although a bit of a hybrid as they tend to use them as short spears as well. You can't escape the bigger classes of weapons just with a somewhat different design. They all should learn fencing to be able to use it better and give it a hand guard damm it no matter what you call it without a hand guard your asking for someone else with one to stab you in the hand.

So I just googled the name of swords and you know what? There is a sword named Red October. It's actually pretty cool, because Red October is kinda symbolic to revolution in Russia. Hard to explain in English so you're free to search it online. Also Red October is name of chocolate trademark. Honestly, if the wielder of that sword will appear to be a man who talks about revolution and chocolate, I will die. Also, believe it or not, the moment I found out about black March and green April, I just knew that there were also red October somewhere. Sorry for my english, time to drink somevodka 🇷🇺🍸

Apparently the Rainbow Undecimber is less a weapon and more a storage system.
There are 52 weeks in a year. If every month had exactly 4 weeks / 28 days then you would have 13 months (13×4=52).
That really didnt need to be explained because that is information we get later.
Also they are 13 not 12 because (spoilers related to bam's origin and how he came to be looked in that cave) and it's crucial for the plot so yeah
