- The Sims 1 was a different time, and a very very different game. It was so weird, and quirky and I played it as a young child so trying to play The Sims 4 like it's the year 2000 makes me so happy.

Playing Sims during childhood includes:
1. Build every house in rectangles
2. Place any objects as long as they are useable
3. Sims having the weirdest fashion sense
4. Giggle with excitement when Sims do anything romantic and sexual
5. Panic along with the Sims as the house is on fire
NAILED IT!! Especially number 4, I was around 7-8 when I started playing The Sims 1.
My dad beat the "Get A Life" game option and made our family (my mom, my brother, him and me) He would let me play that save. I forgot they never aged (thats probably why it was mostly ok that I could play it. He technically wouldnt loose any progress).
I remember putting everything in my Sims 1 houses. All the colours and all the items. You did a great job capturing 'The Vibe'. Happy Birthday to your brother. I hope you're having a lovely time
Oh this brought so many memories 🤩😀 I'm the same age as you,so I started playing the sims 1. It was epic. I put the zebra sofa and aquarium everywhere 😀 and I loved how their head moved when I clicked on an object to give them orders 😭😀 classic ✨✨
I remember when it was released. My old computer crawled but I didn't care. I was just 20 at the time. I've played the franchise ever since. I simply thought it was amazing I could control people's lives. I loved the chaos of the original game.
I wish I would have had the opportunity to watch the evolution of the Sims franchise from the beginning. I started playing Sims at 5 years old (when I couldn't properly read obviously) and Sims 3 was my first PC disc. That's why it will remain my favourite game forever.
Before this disc I had the Sims 2 but it was the Nintendo DS version.
I started playing with The Sims 3 when I was like 15.
When I got TS3, I had the basegame/supernatural bundle, so I always made a secret spooky lair in the basement. The kitchen always had the black and white tile. My bedroom always had the bookcase door. (I'm about to start building an irl house and I still want a bookcase door that leads to a library). I think I made my family as sims, but I don't think I ever played as my family.
there's no clothing that represents the 2000s more accurate than LOW WAIST. i'm so glad i was a child in this time area haha.

Awww so cute and such a cute idea lol I don't have any siblings to have grown up with but I can toootally see myself doing this back then if I did!! And its so funny looking back on playing Sims 1 when I was like 11/12... I felt like there were ENDLESS options and that the graphics were INSANELY real 🤣 It would be so crazy to go back and see it now! Would definitely be a "wow I feel old" moment for sure 😆🤦🏼♀️

so i'm on the younger side of the sims community, i'm currently 16, almost 17 and i remember being excited for the sims 3 coming out. the moment it came out my grandma bought it for me and i made the two of us. we went to the pool and my child simself died. and i just cried because i was so scared of the music 😩
Happy birthday to Justin! In the early 2000s, I used to make the most basic ass vanilla female and male sim, speed run marriage and pregnancy in the first sim day and proceed to recreate 19 kids And counting. Every. Single. Time. And kill don lothario in every save for some reason.
