The video was a great help thanks ! I was previously never quite sure which was the 'spoked wheel' was meant to go as no instructions came with my mat.
Nice tutorial vid, mate. I left my mat in Poland with my family. When they wanted to use it, they had no idea what to do. So your video was great. Thanks for that.
Can you get replacement Valves? We've had 4 matts of different brands and the valves all failed even with proper storage. They just leak after a season or 2.
@@mansfield1981 not officially but I managed to get my finger inside and persuade the 'cage' on the back of the valve to re-seat. If I'm honest I would say that this design is far too feeble for campers. I paid £125 for my Kampa Kip Highrise which I thought was a lot of money but I see they are now closer to £200! Mine also suffered a puncture which I thought was also a bit of a weak spot. I am not a fan of self inflating mats now.
@@dugbert9 thanks - good to know that is possible, will try persuade my cage back into place too - have never had issues with the single sims but having had a few doubles from different brands, they’ve not quite nailed the tech yet - what happened to the reliable screw valves?
@@robertfranke902 mine is definitely the valves. They don't let air in when they're rolled up so it stays flat. Just once inflated they won't stay up. I'm using them correct as Im by no means a novice. Was such an inconvenience on our last trip this is out 2nd season and probably 4th use of them.
Hi Gary. I’ve lost the orange rubber discs in the valve of my van go comfort 10 double and can’t get the bed to deflate anymore. Should I be able to do this without the orange rubbers? Thank you
Are these valves available as separate parts? The valve of my self inflating sleep mat (CampGuru) leaks air. So during the night I wake up because of a flat sleeping mat.
@@camping_guru_uk Thanks Gary, you gave a detailed review of the one in the video, do you know what make/model it was? I have seen many on amazon but mix reviews.

Do yourself a favour and do not buy a Vango inflatable matress. The valves and the material around the valves will begin leaking within a very short period. Terrible build quality.

Thanks very much. The comment about it taking longer in brand new mats was very helpful as I was wondering if there was something wrong with mine!
Thanks. I didn’t realize the valve flipped around like that. Instructions were not that clear.

Thank you so much. Got my beds second hand so no instructions and this has helped enormously 😊
Good one fella, very clear demo and use of the camera, helpful no end
Thank you for this video!!
Thank you, I didn’t know you had to spin them around
Really clear and helpful video, thanks a lot.
Very helpful, thanks. My Kiwi camper Roger SIM came with no manual so I was stuck.
Just what I was after. I'd completely forgot about which way was which since buying my mat a while back.
Thanks, your video was useful.
Great video, I was wondering about the valves taking air in
Thank you, very helpful!
Great video, thanks.
Great explanation. Thank you

I trod on mine and the cage popped off the back of the valve flap. Looks like there's no fix. I prefer the old style screw vallvaes
@@dugbert9 did you find a fix? same issue here

We have a Kampa Wideboy which has 2 of these vales. One of them leaks air, do you know if there's anyway of replacing/fixing it?
Helpful thanks
I have 3 of these 2 singles and a double and the valves have failed on them all.
I was wondering if I could replace them and where to buy the parts
My vango comfort 10s have this valve and they lose air overnight. I haven’t bubble tested yet so not sure but I suspect the valves.

I would order them online. Otherwise it will always keep inflating
Do you have a link for the rubber disc as I have lost mine also?
Hi Sandra. I have the same problem. Were you able to get replacement orange discs? I can't find them online. Thanks.

Not that I know of, maybe check with the brand of your mat.

Can we buy just the valve itself?
Where can i buy this model? link don't work
The shop is now closed permanently. Just give Google a go.
