Babymetal is the happiest metal you will ever hear. You should really react to more. A classic is Road of Resistance (a lot more tempo in that one though). Polyphia is very good as well. The skill these guys possess is just silly.
Sometimes BABYMETAL is full of fun and it's the happiest and sometimes it's the most serious metal band out there. One thing is sure, they always have a positive message.
Good Reaction! The past collaboration probably refers to this song, but there will be a guest appearance by Babymetal on Polyphia's next album. I am very much looking forward to it.
Hola Nittpicc and welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.🦊🤘🌅 Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprises, you're gonna find more songs like this with more mature sound, it came out in 2019 so isn't so new. The album version got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, and it's quite clear in the solo section. Tim Henson said when listening to this song that he would love to play this along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't know the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song. The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc. Song is inspired by certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly. Finally we got them together on stage and with this awesome live performance, it is their first time performing together. They did it again at Graspop Festival in Belgium and they hug each other at the end just like in this version only thing it was cut out, there's also a proshot clip but I'm not so sure about the sound mix. They already finished the Europe Tour and they did it along with EC playing their collab song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain. Along with RATATATA this was definitely one of the highlights at FOX_FEST and a lot of Japanese fans were looking for, I guess that cool slow pace city pop element gives some nostalgia and that's why many fans love it. In a recent interview, Tim and Scott talked about a new song in their upcoming album along with BM, let's see what they got but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something real good like this one. In a more recent interview BM said that they would love to collab along with Fall Out Boy, can you imagine?👀 Today (July 4th, Japanese time) is MoaMetal's birthday, so happy birthday to our angel of love. If you wanna see something special to honor her special b'day I suggest you: - MoaBanger live at Legend M 2019, which is Headbanger!! with MoaMetal singing the second part of the song. Keep enjoying more BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘❤
Really grwat song and collaboration. Being a fan of BabyMetal a long time they make you feel good and happy . The more you see of how talented and different they are than anyone else, you will enjoy them even more . Can not wait to see what they come up with in their next collaboration 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I had hardly heard of Polyphia before finding out that they wrote the guitar sections for Brand New Day and I have become a faithful follower of theirs. Their compositions are exquisitely unique and have a flow to them that is almost hypnotic. Scott and Tim are true virtuosos of the guitar. This also cements BM's rep as a multi-genre group, though the predominant theme is metal. Then you have songs from differing genres that are just spectacular, like "Shanti Shanti Shanti", "Night Night Burn", "Oh Majinai", "Pa Pa Ya", "Leave It All Behind", Ratatata" and several others that don't immediately come to mind. And as always a great reaction !!!!
They have some of the most intricate and beautiful choreography in music today. Their choreographer from the beginning is Mikiko Mizuno, one of Japan's finest. She weaves elements of ballet, street dance, and several other styles to come up with the proper choreography for metal-based songs............who ever thought that choreography would become part of metal. If you are interested, check out a choreography reactor named Xiaouriris. She has done a number of great reactions to BM's dance routines, the first one for Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, because she is of Indian ancestry living in London I believe. You will find it very interesting.
@mikeat2637 yeah, Mikiko is amazing! I love Xiaouiris, her points of view are refreshing and interesting! Shanti happens to be my favourite song from any band, so I've seen her reaction a couple times :)
@@jackpatterson7110 Yes, she really does her job, that's for sure. And even though in the video with Scott and Tim you don't get a good view of the dance routine, it is very intricate and flowing. I think the best view of it was at the 2021 10th Anniversary concerts at Budokan. With the overhead view and dimmed lighting you could see the entire routine, and that section during the guitar solo where they flow around and then are bent over in a line and rise up in turn is just a pleasure to watch.
Brand New Day / BABYMETAL (Feat. Tim Henson and Scott LePage),from third album "Metal Galaxy".2019 Lyrics :MK-METAL(Miki Watanabe) Music Composed & Arranged by MEGMETAL(MEG) Produced by KOBA-METAL( Kei Kobayashi)
Such an underrated song of their 3rd Album 'Metal Galaxy'. It's take 5 years long of waiting until finally their performing it live together on one stage. Also polyphia has confirmed that Babymetal will featuring in their upcoming album, can't wait to see it.
Great reaction and analysis! Others have already dropped some notes on the history of this collab, so you're all set. One of the most uplifting Babymetal songs. They've often sung about pushing on in the face of adversity, but this one is different. "No matter how long the night, morning will eventually come. If the sun shines, fine. If it rains, no big deal. We'll take it step by step, day by day, and the Brand New Day will come." Looking around at a world that seems to come apart at the seams in a number of ways, I do not see much reason to be optimistic. This is one of the songs that keeps me going regardless. Polyphia is awesome regarding virtuosity, but normally does not touch my heart or soul. It's different here. Both groups compliment each other well, taking the music to emotional levels they'd otherwise be hard pressed to reach.
Amazing! I really do hope you get to more Babymetal. Also, if you enjoy eclectic music to break down, I highly suggest Babymetal's *YAVA! (Fox Festival)*. Amazing Kami Band East band intro and a Ska influenced song with a unique groove. Hope you get to check out that song! Brand New Day was the only Babymetal/Polyphia collab (2019), but TIm already confirmed a new collab on its way with Babymetal. 🤘🦊
So far this is the only collab they have but soon maybe more They have a collaboration with Electric Callboy called Ratatata and Kingslayer with Bring Me the Horizon
Welcome back, great reaction. The song is almost 5 years old being as it was on BABYMETAL's 3rd album Metal Galaxy released in 2019. It is certainly one of BABYMETAL's more mellow songs ... but BABYMETAL can do everything. That's one reason their collaborations all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. Tim Henson and Scott le Page recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. Fox_Fest in Tokyo in May (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL) was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together. Tim Henson said in an interview that BABYMETAL will be the featured artist in a Polyphia song next time, possibly on the next album.
This is my favorite track from BABYMETAL's Metal Galaxy album. The arrangements, mixing, vocals, guitar work, and overall production are perfection, and there's just no question that it is a total masterpiece - on par for me with another BABYMETAL masterpiece track called "From Dusk Till Dawn." This live performance is something I would have killed to see too. I don't think there is another collab with Polyphia...YET; although, the word on the street is that BABYMETAL will be collaborating with Polyphia again soon. As for my feelings about BABYMETAL - what can I say? They are pioneers in the metal scene who created their own subgenre, an innovative powerhouse that I absolutely dig, and they are everything musical artists should aspire be - highly listenable, trendsetting, ultra-talented, and fun to both hear and to watch. They are also one of the top tier live performing bands in the world right now (anyone in the know will tell you to check out their live shows), and they have four full length albums of genre-bending awesomeness. They just announced their newest US tour a few weeks ago by the way if you're interested. As for Polyphia, they are the next generation of progressive rock masters and just amazingly talented musicians. They put a lot of other musicians to shame. Anyway, great reaction. Enjoy your continued trip down the Foxhole.
Have you already reacted to "Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert" Elena Pinderhughes on flute on the first song ("TWIN") is crazy good. Wanted me take flute lessons.
Glad this song is finally getting recognized. It has legit been one of my top 5 Babymetal songs since it came out in 2019. Metal Galaxy is full of interesting collabs/features that tend to get over looked. I was hyped when I saw Polyphia was gonna be playing Foxfest bc I knew they would finally do this together live.
Well they had 4 guitars + bass + drums + tapes. They have themselves + Kami Band West + tapes. And they used it two times in japan at FoxFest and in Belgium.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL show is a composite art, like opera, including costume, stage setup and lighting. I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. In addition, classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total + bass / drum) ❤ Various elements created by 3 beautiful performers and 6 instrumentalists with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.
It's ridiculous how they perform such a complex song so well live , this is the kind of music you hear the studio version and think , they will have to make some adaptation, cut some things to play live. But no, they play better than the album. As you are a musician I suggest to check out Tales of the destinies 🤘🦊
When this song came out 5 years ago, everyone was like "this isn't metal"; Babymetal was ahead of the times and we're finally catching up. This was the first chance they had to perform it together. One of the things I love about Babymetal is that they take risks and try new things. The first time they performed this song, they used backlighting like the sun, and you saw only silhouettes like they did in the entrance here, but it was the entire song. Which is so rare. Babymetal pushes the envelope all the time. And what can you say about Polyphia? Tim Henson did a guest on a song by Marcin called Classical Dragon and that's really, really worth checking out.
This was my favorite song on Metal Galaxy. I was a little disappointed when the live MV was released and there was no Polyphia involved other than the backing tracks. They finally made up for it with this.
Great reaction and nice breakdown. Love this song. The outfits remind me of a beetle, maybe a scarab beetle, with that iridescent and unnatural-looking metallic sheen. They were guests at the Fox Festival and played their own set.

This is currently the only time Babymetal and Polyphia have worked together so far. It is actually a feature as this is a Babymetal song that Polyphia added guitars to. Polyphia has said they want to collab with Babymetal on a song on their next album.
The pre collab time collab. Poliphia gotba muster tspe with dummy guitar and vocals. The composed their tracks to teplace zhe dummy guitars and the notes and tjeir pen travk returned to Japan.
I would suggest Road of Resistance Live at PIA Arena 2023 next. This was the collaboration as this song was originally released back in 2019 on the Metal Galaxy album. Though Tim and Scott recently confirmed BABYMETAL will be featured on their upcoming album, and they are working on a feature for another BABYMETAL song.
👍 👍 Easily one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs. Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it. Suzuka once again proves that (in my opinion) she is the most versatile and talented female singer today. She just loves to sing and it shows. BABYMETAL is THE best LIVE band on the planet HQ Pro Shot videos of LIVE performances are the way to go because you get the awesome intros, actual LIVE audio instead of studio over LIVE footage, actual Kami Band instrumentals and actual crowd noise and participation. Moa is a vocal talent in her own right. Headbanger LIVE featuring solo by Moa in honor of her 20th birthday (HQ Pro Shot) ruclips.net/video/MToMx6RCW-M/видео.htmlfeature=shared
to add to that, yes it's 8 string and it's an Ibanez Tim Henson signature. He has an entire Ibanez line of guitars. I would give my left arm for that guitar, but then I wouldn't be able to play it...
@bigbrutalbassbeer410 it is just out of sight, but you can see the top of it when she pauses it and talks about his guiter and when she restarts you can see it clearly .😁🤘🏼🦊
You missed that Su Kicked Ass all the way through. In your review, she's an afterthought. Su dominated this, Polyphia's solos were great, but only 8 bars of the entire song. Everything else that they played was written by Babymetal...
Don't answer me, answer yourself. The band don't compose the songs. 🤔 How they got the credits? Why the girls don't deserve credits? Singing and dancing isn't a talent? Only play guitar is a talent????
⚡ 🍑 💕 / 🌅 Asu ga mata kuru kara. (Tomorrow will come, after all) - Scott and Tim mentioned in a recent interview that they had even more fun on this song than during their own set at FOX_FEST. It was also the first time they performed live with a vocalist. This is the only BABYMETAL / Polyphia collaboration so far. Sounds like there are a couple of new collaboration songs planned in the future. It seems like the first FOX_FEST was a great success. Let's hope the BABYMETAL team do it again soon.
Yeah, all you cared about were the guitarists. This is a BabyMetal song yet you didn't mention Su, Moa or Momo a single time. So disrespectful. ❤ Happy 25th birthday Super Moa! ❤
Jesus Christ you are insufferable. I'm really starting to think that you don't even like babymetal and are just pretending to be a fan while being a insufferable dick everytime just to make the fandom look bad. Please just stop.
Great reaction and analysis. I was hoping to see you back sooner with another reaction to Babymetal after your “Monochrome” video. This song is from Babymetals 3rd album that was released in 2019, which has a lot of collaborations on it (some better than others xd). The song isn’t played live that often since it has no real crowd interaction and is more on the mellow side. I had the pleasure of seeing it live twice but dang, seeing it being performed with Tim and Scott makes all the difference. Too bad I couldn’t go to Fox Fest 😢. I am not a huge fan of Polyphia but those guys are exceptional musicians and I really like GOAT and Playing god. As for Babymetal, well I am a huge fan since 2019 and even travelled to the US and Japan to see them live, so there is that.
これほど歌声に表情が乗る歌手がいただろうか。いずれ、全てのジャンルを通り越し、本人名義のアルバムが発売されることを願っています。

to add to that, yes it's 8 string and it's an Ibanez Tim Henson signature. He has an entire Ibanez line of guitars. I would give my left arm for that guitar, but then I wouldn't be able to play it...
Hmm, I was going off the tuning keys I could see in the frame- must be hidden somewhere!😄💪🏻🤘🏻
React to krishna flute theme ❤❤❤❤
Seems to me... BabyMetal without the band is just another so-called 'girl band'. Singing and dancing. All the credit should go to the band.
Don't answer me, answer yourself.
The band don't compose the songs. 🤔 How they got the credits?
Why the girls don't deserve credits? Singing and dancing isn't a talent? Only play guitar is a talent????

(Tomorrow will come, after all) -
Scott and Tim mentioned in a recent interview that they had even more fun on this song than during their own set at FOX_FEST.

Very embarrassing to see your comments 🤯
Jesus Christ you are insufferable. I'm really starting to think that you don't even like babymetal and are just pretending to be a fan while being a insufferable dick everytime just to make the fandom look bad. Please just stop.
I did talk about them, but right on, dude.
