(song 7000rpm would be a great choice! and the guitarist is on fire!). Here, Kim Yeji final look is everything - she's ferocious! Totally into it. Goosebumps EVERY time!
I first saw one if their recent concert videos and was blown away. I did a deep dive for a few weeks. The song is the official song of the 2017 league of legends tournament and has been recorded by several people including Belle Sisoski. I have a very difficult time not standing up during this performance and i noticed you did as well. She reminds me of Janice Joplin with the raspy voice and the deep soul she has. Next month I'll give you one of their recent videos so you can see where they are now as a band.
Make sure you don't miss Kim Ye Ji's audition in the same show with "River". From the same show I loved also J.UNA Team "Higher Ground" 3 classic + 1 electric guitars, amazing Team.
They are one of the only few rock bands that impress me out of not too many rock bands from Korea. Also, Kim Yeji is a genius singer. The band kept together and still performing, pretty surprising despite them being created out of that TV show.
I've liked Kardi since their first single "Watch Out" but must admit I had never seen this performance before. Such a unique voice, and the band have really developed since Superband. Their recent single "Havin' a Good Time" is a real earworm.
Great reaction It's sad that the wonderful performance was done during the covid-19 which prevented audience to be there and clap. But luckily we can watch it online again 🥰

Came here to say this. The whole thing was totally without mentors and they were a pickup band who put this together in a week. They chose a rather poor piece for the final. Then her agents wouldn't promote her as a metal singer which is obviously where her heart is. At the time, and now, there was not much market for hard rock in Korea. I followed her after and she was very much on her own with mediocre material. Such a loss. And she looks like a cute demon. @@Olkam-w5u

In that video, the other three additionally recruited drums and bass to become "KARDI," a five-person system. The name of that traditional instrument in the video is "Geo-Moon-Go." The first time you paused it was just before my favourite line and the way she sings it, “you never see the price it costs.” Unfortunately the next two times you talked over it. If you can go back a really listen to hear what she does with her voice there. There’s another version of this video and it show short clips and reactions of the judges and other contestants. It also shows a lot more clips of the other musicians.
During this episode Kardi wasn't formed yet many performers were being switched around, the guitarist had his team (Hwang Hyeonjo Team) and the traditional instrument player (Park Dawool) were chosen to join Kim Yeji and later on the drummer (Jeon Sungbae) and bassist (Inkyu) joined. The young lady (Z0) playing multiple instruments in the back joined a different band called The Fix who were also phenomenal. now days Kardi is greatly known for their funk rock and have been touring quite a bit I've purchased their ep and album wait for the new one to come out, I've even bought Yeji's solo hits, killer songs.
