Well... this probably wasn't exactly the first song of their set this night but it was the first time ever (the song was released in 2019) Tim and Scott accompanied them on stage. Though it could have been anticipated since bith band played at the Fox Fest, it wasn't completely set in stone. So the extra excitement of the crowd, when Tim and Scott stepped on the stage, ist understandable...

The exciting part is that Tim says Babymetal has signed on to be a guest on Polyphia's next album. And I do think Tim was on an 8 string if I counted the tuners right.
People don't really understand how much they're sleeping on Babymetal. Even I discounted them for nearly a decade, but now LOVE 98% of their catalog. Mixture of Metal, Pop, EDM, heavy, smooth, and beautiful from one song to the next. Being a metal fan for nearly 40 years now, it's so refreshing to get my heavy riffs and drums with such positivity in lyrics. I finally filled a bucket list item and went to Tokyo (twice) this year. Unfortunately not for one their shows, but saw Band-Maid in May and shows is Japan are on another level. Babymetal in Japan is my goal for 2025

I've always loved the vibe from this song...The music is great, and Su sings it with so much passion and control...Excellent track...
Not a new song guys...was on Babymetal's 2019 Album "Metal Galaxy" that hit #1 in the USA on Billboards "Top Rock Album" charts. But it seems that Babymetal is currently on a Co-lab kick (maybe their next album will be all colabs) so this was the first time they got to perform this song together!!

Brand New Day is a song that I think has an autumn theme. To welcome this season, the Cru team from Babymetal created simple, warm, smooth and energetic lyrics and rhythm music, and this style of tone is suitable for being sung by babymetal x Tim Henson and scottie lepage.
But that doesn't mean that Tim Henson and Scottie Lepage don't appear less here. they just follow the rhythm of the lyrics, so don't be lazy to check the lyrics and understand them yourself, before reacting to them, those are just the lyrics, not including translating the visuals.
They're rocking out the Europe Tour and a couple of days ago they played this song together again at Graspop in Belgium. Finally Tim and Scott wishes comes true after 4 years waiting for this to happen.🦊🤘🌅

For me, music is melody, feel and instrumentation first. If the lyrics take the song higher from there, that's a bonus. In the case of this performance, we get that musical bliss, plus the beautiful aesthetic of the girls' dance to make this SO good and memorable.
This is actually an older song from Babymetal's third album Metal Galaxy, but this was the first time they have managed to perform it live with Babymetal and Tim and Scott on stage together. They actually played it live again a few days ago at Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.
Tim was playing an 8-string. I was in the pit at FOX_FEST and I could see it pretty well. Not sure what Scott was playing because I was over on the right hand side in front of Tim, but it was at least a 7-string.
If you enjoyed this one, you will be happy to know that Tim revealed the other day at Download that there is a Polyphia/Babymetal collab in the works with Babymetal as guests on a Polyphia song, so that will be very cool.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. Classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total) ❤ As you mentioned, many elements were mixed. And sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.
It would be quite difficult to sing while dancing a choreography with live METAL music, but the girls dance so lightly and sing so beautifully.😇And although they look like they are simply playing guitar, the sound they are making is very technical... 😅This collaborative live performance is going smoothly, but... something very miraculous is happening.😳🌈😁
Welcome back. The song is almost 5 years old. It was on BABYMETAL's Metal Galaxy album released in 2019. When Polyphia was confirmed on the bill for Fox_Fest (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL in Tokyo) we all had a good idea of what would happen.
Tim and Scott provided the guitar track for the original recording of the song, team BABYMETAL wrote the song itself.
Look up the lyrics, it is a very uplifting and positive song.
Fox_Fest was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together. They have done it again since this at Graspop festival in Belgium.
Great song, 2019 collab, but 1st time live.
Also, if you guys are lyrics driven, I do suggest pulling up a translation before hand. While not required to enjoy the song, Babymetal songs do have quite a lot of deep and amazing meaning, and some that are just goofy and fun.

Easily one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs.
Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it.
Suzuka once again proves that (in my opinion) she is the most versatile and talented female singer today. She just loves to sing and it shows.

Joachim Brodén from Sabaton almost wore out his voice in a sound studio in Osaka when he was recording his part for their song 'Oh! MAJINAI'.

And yes, I find it quite humorous that this is a song that came out way before the RATATATA collaboration with Electric Callboy and is just now getting hit with discoveries and reactions. Song came out in 2019, then 2020 happened and we never got the MV or live performances together we needed until now.
P.S. There's an interview with Tim Henson and Herman Li and they discuss the old days of collaborating with Babymetal where they would be sent a sample, write their part and send it back to Babymetal, then receive a check in the mail. Thankfully it seems now with Electric Callboy that they are doing true collabs instead of just features, like this song was.

Well this is an 5 yearcold song for Babymetal, but due to their many Collabs in the last time they obviously felt it was time to Pick one of their less famous songs out of their attic. At the time there wsd always this strange worry that the girls might leave metal after they became famous. Butvthis Was nevervthe Intention while they were originally afraid of Metal ( as most 10 year old childten ate), they were pretty much converted to metal but they were not fixed to a Single kind of music butbitvwas feared how much they were forced tondo these songs. Last year they often enough told that they were a new Babymetal but this year they simply are the new Babymetal.
