Lol what…. You must have not been to many metal concerts. In reality it could be because they are little girls and the fans are weird af. They are as corporate as they come. They don’t even write the music lol
Interesting fact: Babymetal has a song originally recorded with Dragonforce guitarist, Herman Li. While that's cool on its own, their actual guitarist plays that song at the same tempo in their live shows. The backing band for Babymetal, Kami Band, are a whole show on their own. I'd recommend watching the Rondo of Nightmare live show with the Kami Band intro to see their talent and hear more of the lead singer, Su, absolutely killing vocals.
Herman Li has said that he never expected to play the song live, so he made it super technical. He regretted that when he had to play live with Babymetal. Was still awesome. We also have to cut Sam and Herman some slack; they don't get to practice the lines day after day or perform them show after show. Sam and Herman wrote some lines (of course not this song) and had to snatch them back up when they played with BM as a feature. Of course, they killed it, as did the girls.
Babymetal are literally that group you didn't know you needed until you stumble on them. Always blows my mind that in this video Su is 15 and Moa and Yui are only 13. They're literally babies but have so much energy and stage presence. Would highly recommend the Road of Resitsnce Live in Japan video, their performance and staging are incredible, the band get to show how skilled they are, and you get to hear Su's incredible live vocals. Also, that video is from 7 years ago when they were only 15-17 years old, and they were already playing a sold out 37,000 capacity with the crowd in palm of their hands. Absolutely insanity
I never even heard of them until I worked with a guy who was into their music and he introduced me to them. Ended up going to see them live in 2016 when they came to the US, worth every penny!
@@regor5150 To be honest - good lip sync is better then shitty live. So many bands cannot play live even their lives depended on it - but they still for some reason try it each and every time, making everybodies ears bleed. Good studio record with great show performance can be so much more satisfying. Its all depends on a artist. Some cannot sing and cannot perform and are only good for spotify list at most. Additionally you must remember that their first album was made when they still were kids - their voices have changed since then, which you clearly can notice on more recent songs, that were made with this in mind.
@@regor5150 they don’t lip sync at every single live performance. Ive seen them live, they were DEFINITELY singing with their mics turned on - they actually sounded BETTER. Honestly, you just seem like a hater. Obviously they’ll want their performance to be good also? Their concerts are practically artwork. And just so u know, every famous singer in the world lip syncs at-least 1x in their life. Its not that deep.
"This makes me so happy" and "This is something I didn't know I needed" sounds like my first reaction too; it's just the Babymetal way. They have so much good stuff, you're in for a whole heap of treats. "Headbangeeer" at Legend 1997 (Su the lead singer's 16th birthday, 1997 is when she was born) or "Road of Resistance" the official video will show you just how astronomically good they are live. Sit back and enjoy, you'll love it here in the foxhole with the rest of us.
The hardest working metal band in the world. PERIOD. Seen them live 4 times. 2 of which required me getting on an airplane. Worth every penny. They put on the greatest show. I saw both the largest US show and the smallest US show last tour. LA Forum and Portland OR. Both shows had one huge thing in common. The dedication and energy that went into them. Doesn't matter what size the venue, this band puts in 100%. I watched one video and didn't really have an opinion, but 3 months later that song grew and grew in my brain and I have been a huge fan ever since. I would recommend Karate as one of your first few tracks. That one is right up your alley...
Babymetal is what got me interested into more types of metal. Even after all the amazing songs they have released, Road of Resistance is still my favorite song from them! definitely hope you check out more of their music!
You need experience these ladies live to fully appreciate what this band is all about. First on your list should be Road of Resistance live. That one should make it clear what you are in store for. Great reaction btw, more Baby Metal please
I've been fortunate enough to see them several times live in Japan and they always bring their A game. I actually prefer their live sound to their studio sound, live is definitely the way to go with Babymetal.
These guys put on live shows like the best of them. And unless you find really old stuff, they are basically fully live too. If you want one that highlights the band "Rondo of Nightmare" a Budokan Black. "Road to Resistance" is great too.
The operatic mix with metal is something that they truly did with "Rondo of Nightmare". Watch the live version if you can, gets kinda theatrical with a nice instrumental in the beginning that's kinda representative of how they're actually better live than with the studio recordings. Sounds much more organic.
always wanted to see them Live Concert they're on my List tbh very entertaining even if you're a Metalhead like really metalhead their concert is sooo entertaining worth every penny 🤣
Check out their performance Live at Sonisphere in 2014, especially Ijime Dame Zettai, it's one of their earliest live shows outside of Japan IIRC. The crowd had no idea what they were in for at the beginning of the set and by the end they were completely into it.
The coolest thing about them is that both of you will find something for yourself. For Metal Head, I suggest the following songs: Headbanger live legend 1997 Road of Resistance live in Japan For HipHop Head: BxMxC - There may be an official video, but feel free to use some from the concert Pa Pa Ya live in Japan In addition to great songs, Babymetal have amazing concerts where even the audience is choreographed. It remains to welcome you into the FoxHole, Kitsune up guys ;) ps. In addition, if you want to explore the voice of the girls Rondo of Nightmare (With mischiefs gods intro) - Suzuka(lead singer) sings a solo here, rather a song for Metal Head Onedari Daisakusen - Sung by Moa and Yui, a song with a slight hip-hop vibe
Maid also seems to know the right videos. I'll add DEATH Live Complete version. ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html Anyway, I think Road to Resistance live in Tokyo is the one to start with to fully understand their greatness. Big respect for the Japanese fans, a real model for the rest of the world.
Watching their live videos will blow your mind, the energy they have plus the crowd control is absolutely amazing I hope to watch you enjoy down this rabbit hole
Hiphop+Metal? Why not, there's BxMxC (2020, basically rap metal), or IINE (2013, playfully hiphop). For screaming parts, they often got help, such as Alicia White Gluz in DISTORTION (2018), fHero in PA PA YA (2019), Sabaton in OH MAJINAI (2019). MEGITSUNE is their staple, their own metal, lyrically implying about the story of themselves and their lore, and how they would do their metal (at least back then), with two little girls at the side of the main singer, dancing and chanting :)
A song that is both metal and rap! They have a song called BxMxC. There is a fancam version with good sound recorded in Bruxelles. It is awesome and you don't need to blur that video.
This was videoed at a real Temple. Today that Temple is a must for "The One" (fans) when visiting Japan. Su is 15 and Yui and Moa are 13/14! What were you doing when you were 15!! Su says "Maidens are not to be underestimated" when she pulls the knife. It's from a crime movie and said by the crime lord daughter. Babymetal has release 2 new songs for their comeback. NEXT - "Karate" live at the Download Festival. or "Headbanger" Legend of 1997, they are 16 and 14 yo.
I was at their concert in 2020 in Hamburg, Germany just before ... everything started ... I kid you not: best concert I've ever been to. They go hard live.
My recommendation is to watch their live stuff. Their know how to put on a show and work a crowd. Headbanger, Road of Resistance, and Starlight are favorites of mine. They have also recently released two singles from an upcoming album.
From the outside, it just looks like any normal shrine with a sizeable stone torii gate but just a short walk beyond that is the main filming location for the ‘ Megitsune ‘ (2013) music video. The Noh Hall is used for various traditional performing arts, festivals and a Babymetal video! The three girls and the band perform the song on stage with the modern impression of bonsai pictured on the wooden panel behind them. This part of the shrine complex is not open every day so please be aware of that should you wish to see it in all its glory. Sunday seems to be the best bet for when it is open for public viewing. This is one of the “Ten Shrines Of Tokyo‘ which are considered the most important as they were selected in 1868 by Emperor Meiji after he had moved to Edo and renamed it Tokyo. The beautiful red torii gates also featured in ‘Tokyo Pop‘ (1988) and they are proof that you really don’t need to go to Kyoto to see such an image!
That was a very enjoyable reaction! Yes, it's Metal, but it's happy. You have pretty much hit the nail on the head. There's incredible talent, a totally new approach that somehow manages to work despite the obvious clashing of different elements, and the energy is awesome. Now, imagine that kind of energy turned up to 200%, and you know what this is like live. There's a wide range of everything you can imagine between Metal and Pop, with influences from Reggae, Ska, Waltz, Hip Hop, Dubstep, EDM and more in their music. So not all of their songs sound like this, but all of them sound great. And the live package is as complete as it gets. The dancing adds so much to the entertainment value, after a few videos you'll be wondering how other bands can even get along without it. I would recommend checking out "Headbanger" from the "Legend 1997" show next. You'll be blown away and need a chisel to remove the smiles from your faces.
I worked at a big telecom in japan, and one of my coworkers in late 2014 kept telling me about this band, I didn't want to listen when he described them as young girls, so he puts this video and all the albums including Legend 1997 full concert on a thumb drive. 18hr flight back home I pop it in my laptop and It was like I entered another world, If you get a chance check out Legend 1997 full it is absolutely nuts and full of this energy
So glad you listened to this one first! Many go for Gimme Chocolate!! first due to that being what exploded them onto the scene in the first place, and it's an awesome song as well, but it was definitely made to sound more "radio-friendly", if that makes sense. Megitsune shows off their talents a lot better, both the girls and the Kami Band. Oh, and it's pronounced, Meh-gi-(t)su-ney. Would love to see you react to Iine, Karate, and Road to Resistance (live is best!)
I discovered BABYMETAL around 2015/2016, and have been listening to them daily since 2019 but I don't know the English translations to their songs. BUT I do know what the songs are about and that actually helps especially since all their songs have great messages or themes.
Nice reaction. A hip hop head and a metalhead just now hearing Babymetal. I would say folks have been holding out on you guys. Your set up has just been waiting for you to find Babymetal. Their music kawaii metal is a metal base with a Jpop top and whatever music they feel like putting in the middle. Babymetal is a unique group. They have done things their own way since 2010. Recording their first album around two years later. Megitsune is Babymetals most performed song. And yes, it's very lit when they do it live. Which brings me to something you will find even cooler than watching their music videos. Watch them perform live. They've won awards for their live performances. If watching this music video is cool. Check out their other music videos. And then watch those same songs performed live. Moves the song to new levels amazement. Then check out their other songs that they only have live performance videos of. Some are next level of epicness. While babymetal dances to all their music. There really is no comparison between Babymetal anyone else. because outside of dancing there isn't much to compare as they are different genres of music. Apples to oranges kind of thing. Babymetal was one of the first bands if not the first metal band to have full on dance routines to all of their songs. Babymetal is the three girls dancing and singing. When they perform live they have a stage band playing the music called the Kamiband. Put them together and the unreal happens. Jpop and metal working together in ways no one thought possible. As for the lyrics of this song most do as Su says, "Don't Think, Feel". She paraphrased Bruce Lee but it still works when listening to Babymetal. Overall, the song is a statement about females in Japanese society. But it could be in other places as well. Kitsune are shapeshifters who change shape to trick folks. Here they make that a comparison to ladies wearing makeup. Not doing it fool anyone. They do it more to hide how they feel inside as socially in Japan. Ladies aren't supposed to show their emotions. Just smile and nod. Babymetal wants to break that by say it's Ok. Ladies are Megitsune. Basically, saying their better than that and a step above. Fox's play a big part in Babymetals symbols because of this song. You will see fox's everywhere around Babymetal. Including their hand gestures. They give the fox sign instead of the devil horns like you would see at most metal performances. all part of Babymetal doing things their own way. Which is why Babymetal is everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed.
They are from Japan, and the sub genre is Kawaii metal (cute metal), which they basically pioneered. If you decide to react to more, I recommend BxMxC. It's very manic, and I love it.
You should totally check out the official live video for "Rondo of Nightmare", which features a long instrumental intro where their backup band, the Kami Band, shows off how incredibly skilled they are.
I learned about Babymetal years ago but never took them seriously. I heard them again in a game trailer this year, and the song was catchy enough (Gimme Chocolate) that I had to check them out. Little did I know they would be my most listened to band this year according to Spotify. They have a new album coming out, even though they lost a member of the vocalist trio. I can’t wait for the new album, and hope to see them live one day.
I highly recommend listening to Road of Resistance and Rondo of Nightmare both Live. They're a heavy metal and japanese pop mix. Hence their name Babymetal. Incredibly good and I found them when they came out 😂 absolutely adore them
I was OBSESSED with Babymetal when I was in college (maybe 2011/2012?). It feels like it shouldn't work but it is so fucking good. I was always disappointed that I couldn't see them live because their show clips you see online looked phenomenal. I remember back then lots of asshole gatekeepy metal dudes were deeply offended by Babymetal and claiming it wasn't "real metal" or whatever. But the majority of actual genuine metal music fans appreciated the music. Even if they didn't vibe with the song, they acknowledged that it was great. I think I got into kpop around then too, and the sheer volume of kpop content dwarfed Babymetal in my playlists without me realising. 😅
Enjoy this trip down the fox hole. Best suggestion I have is take it chronologically as much as you can start at or near the beginning and enjoy the evolution of this incredible band.
If I'm recalling correctly, when they debuted in 2010 the girls were 10 and 11 years old. One of the trio, Yuimetal, left back in 2018 due to illness, but the other 2 are still going strong.
I love reading the comment section on all the BABYMETAL videos and reactions to BABYMETAL… I learned so much about them! I just learned about them less than a week ago, and yes I didn’t know I was needing this in my life! It is hard to put into words… You guys need to see gimme chocolate! Lol
The perfect song to start off with! Apart from being amazing, it's one of the earliest and most quintessential BABYMETAL songs, and I think it's safe to also say their best music video. BABYMETAL is otherwise known for their exceptional live performances and is therefore the best way to see and hear them. Su-metal (the main vocalist) has said "Don't think, just feel" regarding the music.
"Ancient maidens, you sing in the transient dream. Getting over thousands years, you live inside us. Ah, it's right. Always women are actresses. We're not foxes, not deceiving. Maidens... ... 'shouldn't be underestimated!' Ah, girls are becoming more like an ideal woman. Continuously, to keep blazing, we shoot up the fireworks. Ah, blooming and falling is the fate for a woman. Smiling at face, crying at heart, we're pure-hearted maiden-like female foxes."
babymetal is off the charts good. . not many bands can put on a live show like them. . keep doing babymetal reactions and you'll be to 100k followers fast....the fans always show up
From 2010 to about 2016 was such a good era for metal, a bunch of bands we know and love today were just releasing their debut records and playing small house shows wherever they could🔥 Ahh man take me back to those days lol Same tho, my jaw was on the floor the first time I heard this song😂
BABYMETAL BEEN A FAN SINCE .2018 WHEN I FIRST LISTEN TO THEM.A RABBIT HOLE FOR SURE THESE GIRLS STARTED WHEN THEY WERE 12YRS OLD.BABYMETAL IS THE BIRTH OF NEW METAL GENRE ANY WAY YOU WILL ENJOY THEM P,S.HEAVY ON THE COPYRIGHT
You should see Baby Metals live performances; they are intense no matter which ones you view however the live are more impressive since they aren't cut and pieced together like videos are.
They created a new genre of metal. They are so amazingly creative and when you get into them you don't know how it's never been done before... They 8 base rocks your world and sue metal voice melts your heart 🤟
I've heard these girls before. They're music is absolutely awesome! It is a shame I don't understand what they're saying. But they're really good! Would love to see them live just to feel what they're really like. They're instrumental musicianship is fantastic! Also I thought The Hu was Mongolian.
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal Galaxy 🦊🤘 BM are still "relevant" and they're back after a year of official hiatus with new singles (2 already out) and 3 more coming next year along with live performance and album release, later they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour. They're showing us a new side we've never seen before, so don't worry to jump to this era yet, stay with their early era and get to know how and why they arrive here and still being in the spotlight. Funny you mentioned BMTH, they got the best 2020 collab song called "Kingslayer", and BMTH been performing this song at their live concerts and festival more recently. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms, they are: - SuMetal lead vocalist, currently about to get 25 next December 20. - MoaMetal scream and dance, currently 23 yo. - YuiMetal, scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. This was released in 2013 when having around 13/14 and 15 yo, so is one of their early hits and is full of japanese elements, like the "shamizen" a japanese traditional instrument, and is a party festival song (matsuri). "Sore" "seiya" and "soya" are typical shouts among Japanese festival and it works like a "c'mon!" or "let's go" for them. During the breakdown you can hear another typical japanese folk song called "Sakura Sakura" and they're doing a traditional Japanese dance. I think you need to work with the pronunciation, so to say it right you can use a translator app, but it reads something like "meh- git - su - neh". Song is about female empowerment and if you follow the lyrics you'll see about it, "Megitsune" means female fox (vixen) and they talk about women acting with a smile in their face while crying inside, just to fit in society or what is expected from them, when they're kind to you, they're not trying to make falling in love with them, they're just being their own way, and men tend to confuse and think they're cheating or deceiving. Japanese friends told that "megitsune" used to be a peyorative term in Japanese culture, pretty much just like around the world, but BM is using this as a way to empower women despite the meaning itself. When SuMetal (the lead singer) is pulling out the "tanto" she's saying "maidens shouldn't be uderstimated", that refers to a japanese mob film about some boss mafia daughter before attacking someone. During live performance she does something different and looks really cool doing it. Megitsune is a quintessential BM song and among top ranking songs by fans, SuMetal said she didn't mastered yet, that's why you will hear her doing sound check with this song before live concerts. One of my favorite version is the "Red Fox Festival 2017" with a room full of megitsune only, you can find that at Babymetal Reactor Resource. The origin of the "fox sign" is really long to explained but here's a short summary: The Fox God (Kitsune Sama) is the Metal God who sent these girls (and Kami Band after to help them with the metal sound) to unify the world and set them free from Jpop slavery. The kitsune sign came out by accident around the time they created the group by the girls when trying to imitate the typical metal horn sign they noticed it was similar when doing fox shadow shape, they implemented this as part of the lore, imagery, theme and live concerts, the lore is huge so take your time and keep digging and riding the Foxhole 🦊🤘 Btw they praised for real and made a ritual to the Fox God for this song to be a hit and successful, and thanks to the Fox God this is one of their major hits and favorite BM fan songs. "NotACult" 👀 We know Amuse is very hard to deal with copyright blocked issues, fortunately we got a way to go around with "Babymetal Reactor Resource" YT place, you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them. You'll find some watermarked clips in the channel also with the description and where to get the non-logo version. If you want you can watch the original clean version and pause whenever you like to say your comment and after that you can put a logo provided in the same place so you can enjoy a clean version from the beginning. You can also put some heavy opacity and translucent effect to avoid those issues if necessary. However there are some safe clips to react like those from Legend 1997 or some of Budokan 2014 or previous to this year and Festivals that is out of reach from Amuse hands. By all means AVOID live compilations at least for first time watching, not saying all of them are bad but chances are you'll end up facing the bad ones bad edited, very confusing, switching costumes and distracting you from the performance and meaning of the song. Also avoid Glastonbury Festival performance, the sound is bad and the crowd isn't the usual fans. Here's some examples of safe to react live performances: - "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" live at Legend 1997 (2013, you can find this a "Gans Tomas" or "abr metal") got this under Head Bangya title; or live at Legend I (2012) is another good option. - "Rondo Of Nightmare" with Mischiefs Of Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, this one normally is safe to react without any filters. ("Kawaii Metal" got this clip) - "Catch Me If You Can", you got live at Budokan 2014 with subtitles version at "GuilhermeCait" or live at MetroRock 2015 in Babymetal Reactor Resource under the title "CMIYC". - "Ijime Dame Zettai" live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 (lately hasn't been so safe, so careful) - "Karate" live at Download Festival 2016 ("kitsune6001" got this one). If you follow this step by step you won't have blocked issues the majority of times, but sometimes there has been issues with certain songs so if you got those try to put opacity, blur or translucent effect, that might help a little bit. Now you know why we said "kitsune" (fox) to male fans and "megitsune" to female fans but collectively we are officially known as "The One". See you next time.🦊🤘🔥
@@ThePsychosocialite Nah, there's always something left to said about this great song and MV, I'm just saying a tiny percentage about it. Thanks anyway.🦊🤘
They already understand the essence of Babymetal, but will have to work on their pronunciation. Will be interesting how they pronounce "Iine" 😊🦊 And #notacult (or is it too early in their journey?)
Ah, yes, the first babymetal song I heard and fell in love with!!! They're amazing, have amazing music, and also amazing performances. I wouldn't call myself their biggest fan, but for years I've dreamed of going to a concert of them. The videos I've seen of them live always blow me away, plus everyone who's been to a concert comments on just how awsome they are. I recommend you listen to Headbanger, Rondo of Nightmare, Akatsuki and Sis. Anger. Some of this have live versions with the Kami Band intro, which I absolutely recommend checking out. They're amazing as well. P.S: And yes, they're VERY theatrical, which is another thing I love about them. And yes, they're japanese and have been around for 10 years at least.
I visited their first (and probably last) concert in Russia in 2020, right before all covid things start to erupt in the world. For that time I already have been listened them for years. And honestly, maybe one of a dozen concerts I went, where all the energy and vibe were just over the top (in a good way). I also went to the Skillet and Hollywood Undead several times, Powerwolf, Breaking Benjamin + Starset, and they all were really awesome, but Babymetal is just on a whole new level with live performance. Love them, always waiting for new releases and collabs❤
Welcome to the One! I'm a long time fan of the channel and I'm so glad you got to react to one of my favorite bands of all time. You have to do more because every song is a different ride. Their live show is absolutely incredible and you definitely need to check it out. Please continue down the Foxhole! Also, #notacult.
Welcome to the amazing world of BabyMetal. They are fire in every way! They have been around since 2010. BabyMetal has gone through some changes over the years (YuiMetal left the band and one of their guitarists Mikio passed away). They just released two new songs the past 2 months and they are going on tour next year. I am going to as many shows as I possibly can! I suggest you react to BabyMetal's song Karate live at Download 2016 or Headbanger live at the legend of 1997 concert. Enjoy the BabyMetal ride!
Nice reaction, if you will do another reaction, i would recommend "Catch me if you can" with intro or "Rondo of Nightmare" with Mischiefs of Metal Gods intro - both from Budokan 2014! In both intros the Kami Band (backing band) is showing off (something you don't want to miss!)
Nice first reaction, and good song as a first reaction. Since one of you is a metal-head, and the other is into hiphop, I think you guys might like to check out Iine (2 letter i's, so it isn't line, but pronounced EEnay). And although live is always better than the music videos, in this particular case, I'd recommend the music video, or even better do a double feature, where you do the music video first, then do a live version. This way you can even see the difference. Either way I think you'll enjoy it. That being said, you can't really go wrong with these girls. It is also really fascinating watching and listening to them as they are growing older. It isn't something you can actually witness very often seeing as in this video I think the singer is 15 and the 2 dancers are 14. I might be a year off, but that is pretty much their ages in this video. Main singer was born in 1997, 2 dancer a year and a half before that.
"She's got some pipes". You ain't heard anything yet. All I'm gonna say is From Dusk til Dawn. You wanna hear her pipes, that's the song you listen to.
I'd recommend two songs for you guys to check out live. Road of Resistance is always the go to for most people, but I will always suggest Rondo of nightmare with mischief of God's intro if you want to see the talent of the band behind them
In all of my 56 years, never have I seen a band control a crowd better than these girls.
And at such a young age.
Their concerts are phenomenal to go and see
Lol what…. You must have not been to many metal concerts. In reality it could be because they are little girls and the fans are weird af. They are as corporate as they come. They don’t even write the music lol
@@plaguedoctor5657 Women in their mid-20s are little girls? That's interesting.
Their live shows are very fun. They're not always my cup of tea, but you can't take away their abilities as performers.
Of course, they killed it, as did the girls.
no wonder their songs sounds familiar to dragonforce especially when you listen to the guitar riffs both are sounds similar *imo*
When Su pulls the Tanto out of her microphone, she says, "Otome wa Name tara i kanzeyo!" "Maidens are not to be underestimated."
Japan's version of "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". And she was like 16 for this. And Su only got better.
@@XMorbidReignX 14
That seems like so much when you’re reading it but she says it so fast lol
Such a BADASS line
As everyone else says....the live is worth seeing. These girls push themselves to the limit.
cant wait to see them in vienna as pre show for Sabaton
They lip sync live bro. I've seen it in person. They're more about the performance than the music.
@@regor5150 When I went to their concert they most definitely did not.
My favorite is Arkadia
5:58 "It's probably a lit concert!" - That would be the understatement of the century
their live performances are where they really shine! would highly recommend just typing "live" after whatever song you look up!
First time hearing this group. Their voices are gorgeous.
And theyre the most adorable thing ever.
This song is also almost 10 years old. Su’s voice has matured so much since then.
welcom the fox hole ^^
Babymetal is what got me interested into more types of metal. Even after all the amazing songs they have released, Road of Resistance is still my favorite song from them! definitely hope you check out more of their music!
mine too, and after that i would headbanger in all 3 variations
If I remember correctly, the scream portion was recorded by the woman who is performing the fan dance. Also, it’s “may-git-sue-nay”
🤘🦊🤘
"Kawaii metal" is the genre they pioneered.
Keep in mind too, Babymetal started their band when they were 9 years old!
(Also, they just released Divine Attack-Shingeki and Monochrome)
to this day the best concert ive ever been to, and ive been to a good deal of concerts
The coolest thing about them is that both of you will find something for yourself.
For Metal Head, I suggest the following songs:
Headbanger live legend 1997
Road of Resistance live in Japan
For HipHop Head:
BxMxC - There may be an official video, but feel free to use some from the concert
Pa Pa Ya live in Japan
In addition to great songs, Babymetal have amazing concerts where even the audience is choreographed.
It remains to welcome you into the FoxHole, Kitsune up guys ;)
ps.
In addition, if you want to explore the voice of the girls
Rondo of Nightmare (With mischiefs gods intro) - Suzuka(lead singer) sings a solo here, rather a song for Metal Head
Onedari Daisakusen - Sung by Moa and Yui, a song with a slight hip-hop vibe
Maid also seems to know the right videos. I'll add DEATH Live Complete version. ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html
Anyway, I think Road to Resistance live in Tokyo is the one to start with to fully understand their greatness. Big respect for the Japanese fans, a real model for the rest of the world.
You left our Karate and give me chocolate?
For me Sis Anger is their most metal song
Nice recommendation!
I always showed up for your NF reactions. I’m now here for your BabyMetal reactions…MORE!!!
I recently listened to their album Metal Galaxy and Shine is probably my favorite song by them right now. Su's voice really "shines" in it, lol.
Next suggestion:
- _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official, is heavily blocked so take precautions putting some filters like you did here.
Watching their live videos will blow your mind, the energy they have plus the crowd control is absolutely amazing
I hope to watch you enjoy down this rabbit hole
Hiphop+Metal? Why not, there's BxMxC (2020, basically rap metal), or IINE (2013, playfully hiphop).
For screaming parts, they often got help, such as Alicia White Gluz in DISTORTION (2018), fHero in PA PA YA (2019), Sabaton in OH MAJINAI (2019).
MEGITSUNE is their staple, their own metal, lyrically implying about the story of themselves and their lore, and how they would do their metal (at least back then), with two little girls at the side of the main singer, dancing and chanting :)
Nothing like first reactions. The thing about Babymetal is, they'll blow your mind time and time again.
A song that is both metal and rap! They have a song called BxMxC. There is a fancam version with good sound recorded in Bruxelles. It is awesome and you don't need to blur that video.
They definitely put on crazy concerts. Watch some of their live performances. The crowds they draw and command they have over them is absolutely wild
The best live band ever🤘🦊
This was videoed at a real Temple. Today that Temple is a must for "The One" (fans) when visiting Japan. Su is 15 and Yui and Moa are 13/14! What were you doing when you were 15!! Su says "Maidens are not to be underestimated" when she pulls the knife. It's from a crime movie and said by the crime lord daughter. Babymetal has release 2 new songs for their comeback.
NEXT - "Karate" live at the Download Festival. or "Headbanger" Legend of 1997, they are 16 and 14 yo.
Kyle, dude! They DO have a fight song, it's called "Karate" and it's awesome!
52 meralhead here. They’re exactly what you’d expect. And the band is dope. I dig Babymetal 🎸
"Maidens should not be underestimated"!!
Quintessential Babymetal!!
Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
This was a great reaction!! Lol 😂 “ I’m so happy”
You just described the magic of babymetal perfectly. So glad to see people still discovering and appreciating them. I hope you react to more
A BABYMETAL classic. Nice reaction. BTW the lyrics are great, and very telling.
Great reaction, " headbanger live @ legend 1997 apocalypse" is my favourite.
The "Nametara ikanzeyo" quote is such a good insert.
You NEED to react to their live concert videos . Their MV's are great but the live shows are on a level most bands can only dream of .
More! :) and definitely check out live!
More BabyMetal please... Top band in live shows, watch their songs live and enjoy gentlemen 🖤🖤🖤
Saw them at Sonic Temple in 2018 I think? Worth it!
They are from Japan, and the sub genre is Kawaii metal (cute metal), which they basically pioneered. If you decide to react to more, I recommend BxMxC. It's very manic, and I love it.
5:55 "It's probably a lit concert." Is the understatement of the year!
Megitsune is a great song.
The best video to start with in my opinion is "Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014"
Incredibly good and I found them when they came out 😂 absolutely adore them
An amazing band, so much good stuff! I’m always trying to get my friends to try out their intense chaos! So glad both of you dig it.
They just released a new song. Great reaction, let’s go!
BABYMETAL ❤🖤
"Their concerts must be lit!"
Dude.
This is one of the best live bands on the planet to me and so many others. Would highly suggest checking out a live stage in the future, if you want!
"Ancient maidens, you sing in the transient dream.
Getting over thousands years, you live inside us.
Ah, it's right. Always women are actresses.
We're not foxes, not deceiving.
Maidens...
... 'shouldn't be underestimated!'
Ah, girls are becoming more like an ideal woman.
Continuously, to keep blazing,
we shoot up the fireworks.
Ah, blooming and falling is the fate for a woman.
Smiling at face, crying at heart,
we're pure-hearted maiden-like female foxes."
Speaking of their concert footage you need to watch Road of resistance or Headbanger from the legend 97 concert.
If you liked this one, check out "Syncopation". They really rock that song too.
Babymetal are an absolute gem, please check out more of their music!!
Another very high energy song is Pa Pa Ya. Get the official version for the best sound.
babymetal is off the charts good. . not many bands can put on a live show like them. . keep doing babymetal reactions and you'll be to 100k followers fast....the fans always show up
From 2010 to about 2016 was such a good era for metal, a bunch of bands we know and love today were just releasing their debut records and playing small house shows wherever they could🔥 Ahh man take me back to those days lol
Same tho, my jaw was on the floor the first time I heard this song😂
Many reactors actually forget to react, you guys was fun to watch. Also I like the OC shirts. BABYMETAL rules!
To start evaluating them I would suggest "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan". 👏👏👏
I love Babymetal so much! It would be my dream to see them live at least once
Cool reaction glad you guys enjoyed More Babymetal please
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal Galaxy 🦊🤘
BM are still "relevant" and they're back after a year of official hiatus with new singles (2 already out) and 3 more coming next year along with live performance and album release, later they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour.
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms, they are:
- SuMetal lead vocalist, currently about to get 25 next December 20.
The origin of the "fox sign" is really long to explained but here's a short summary:
The Fox God (Kitsune Sama) is the Metal God who sent these girls (and Kami Band after to help them with the metal sound) to unify the world and set them free from Jpop slavery. The kitsune sign came out by accident around the time they created the group by the girls when trying to imitate the typical metal horn sign they noticed it was similar when doing fox shadow shape, they implemented this as part of the lore, imagery, theme and live concerts, the lore is huge so take your time and keep digging and riding the Foxhole 🦊🤘
Btw they praised for real and made a ritual to the Fox God for this song to be a hit and successful, and thanks to the Fox God this is one of their major hits and favorite BM fan songs. "NotACult" 👀
We know Amuse is very hard to deal with copyright blocked issues, fortunately we got a way to go around with "Babymetal Reactor Resource" YT place, you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them.
Here's some examples of safe to react live performances:
- "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" live at Legend 1997 (2013, you can find this a "Gans Tomas" or "abr metal") got this under Head Bangya title; or live at Legend I (2012) is another good option.
- "Rondo Of Nightmare" with Mischiefs Of Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, this one normally is safe to react without any filters. ("Kawaii Metal" got this clip)
- "Catch Me If You Can", you got live at Budokan 2014 with subtitles version at "GuilhermeCait" or live at MetroRock 2015 in Babymetal Reactor Resource under the title "CMIYC".
- "Ijime Dame Zettai" live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 (lately hasn't been so safe, so careful)
- "Karate" live at Download Festival 2016 ("kitsune6001" got this one).
See you next time.🦊🤘🔥
I think you literally covered everything here Jake 😆👍
@@ThePsychosocialite Nah, there's always something left to said about this great song and MV, I'm just saying a tiny percentage about it. Thanks anyway.🦊🤘
1138 word essay Jake =) Is that a new record?
@@Killem911 lol 😅🤘
They already understand the essence of Babymetal, but will have to work on their pronunciation. Will be interesting how they pronounce "Iine" 😊🦊
And #notacult (or is it too early in their journey?)
Welcome to Kawaii Metal. Babymetal is the first group known for this genre.
Love them, always waiting for new releases and collabs❤
... more Babymetal please. Their live shows are an experience 🦊🤘
i got so excited when i saw this video pop up and it was baby metal
Welcome to the One! I'm a long time fan of the channel and I'm so glad you got to react to one of my favorite bands of all time. You have to do more because every song is a different ride. Their live show is absolutely incredible and you definitely need to check it out. Please continue down the Foxhole! Also, #notacult.
Don't sleep on their two live shows
1. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan
2. Road of Resistance
MEGITSUNE is their 2nd single
Hi.
"If you smiled it was because you understood".
🦊👯🦊🇯🇵👩🎤
So excited you are experiences Babymetal their amazing. Hope you enjoy more. Great reaction like always
"She's got some pipes". You ain't heard anything yet. All I'm gonna say is From Dusk til Dawn. You wanna hear her pipes, that's the song you listen to.
Live version's of their music is the best way to experience this band 🦊🤘
For example ruclips.net/video/7JrFxDFk614/видео.html
I'd recommend two songs for you guys to check out live. Road of Resistance is always the go to for most people, but I will always suggest Rondo of nightmare with mischief of God's intro if you want to see the talent of the band behind them
