At Download Festival UK I met a guy (who also got onto the big screens during Babymetal's Performance) who must have been 30+ years old, who was quite big and hairy, your typical kind of heavy metal look. He had the full outfit; dress, pigtails, thigh high socks etc. Favourite person I've ever met at a gig/festival!

I laughed because I totally get it, but the fan in me also feels the need to make a polite correction for you. In fact, none of the girls are actually related. The two girls that do the dancing and look like twins were purposely chosen because of their similar heights and voices. Funny enough, they’re only about 2 weeks apart for birthdays as well. Also, if you haven’t checked them out more, you really should!!
I've been listening to metal since I've been in 5th grade. I am 22 now. I've been a big fan of slipknot and korn mostly, but I loved other bands too. I love Babymetal. They're so unique and their songs are actually very positive from what I've read. It makes me so happy to see these guys do so well.
What is also really amazing to me is how good all the instrumentalists and everyone involved are. These are truly quality productions with three extremely talented ladies (girls?) leading the way. It's not just their singing and dancing, it's their expressions and . . . and everything. I just heard of them a couple of months ago for the first time and I've come to really like and appreciate them. What an amazingly eclectic group!
I'm a huge Babymetal fan, I've been to 6 of their shows, including going to see them live in Tokyo last year. Babymetal shows are the most awesome, electrifing, insane fun concerts you will ever see. This band is totally unique, Their is nothing like them, If you get a chance to see them live, go for it. It's an experience.

They just toured the South with RHCP (10 stops). And now off to the West (6 stops) with Korn & Stone Sour. As headliners they're only doing L.A. right now.
BabyMetal is awesome!! The scary faces during part of the clip are a representation of Kitsune, The Fox God. It plays a big part in their life and in their messages to the masses. The symbol they make with their hands is also the Fox God symbol. Early on, they didn't realize people were making rock horns at the concerts and were thrilled to see people making the Fox Symbol, so they adopted it and it is now a large part of their image. Note the middle fingers are extended not curled under, making a fox head ( imagine making a shadow puppet). Kitsune Up!!!!
3:35 No they are whats called "evil eyes" its a christian religious symbol for warding away evil its just ronnie james dio used them alot in his live shows which is what made people think it was the devils horns, it means your directing the "evil" away from you to whoever you point these at usually
BABYMETAL actually does it slightly different and calls it a fox symbol. If you’re a fan of wrestling, it the “Too Sweet” hand gesture from the NWO back in the day and others even now. According to stories, when they were learning the “horns”, they either made a mistake or made a comment saying it looks like a fox (Japan is known for having a huge amount of foxes, so they would make the association quite easily) and their manager ran with it, having them do it in every song basically. He also built a whole lore around the band coming together as being “chosen by the fox god to bring metal back to Japan and spread it across the galaxy”. The lore is kind of fun, but silly at the same time, but we fans run with it because the entire band is amazing!

I get your point and I certainly agree there's different levels of celebrity but the reason everyone is saying that is because typically when most people think of a celebrity they think of someone quite famous who most people know since that's literally what it means! Nearly everyone has either heard of you or knows who you are. That's not normally including people with either just minor fame or who're famous to only certain people kind of like cult celebrities or reality tv ones are. They may have a degree of celebrity but they're not typically considered a celebrity.
