They didn't have to work for it?! Do you know how hard these Japanese idols have to work? It's it their life 24/7. They aren't even allowed to date, and a whole bunch of other restrictive rules or else they will be removed from the label. Girl, you just sit in front of your camera and keep talking.

i'm a 14 year old girl, I have been to a babymetal concert and bought a gimme chocolate shirt and I'm proud of it.
I am a 49 year old guy that grew up with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. I will go the next Babymetal concert that's near my town, buy a Babymetal shirt and wear it proudly

Metal Pop Fusion bands are already commonplace in the USA. They are often labeled as metalcore bands. Bands like Attack Attack!, I See Stars, and Issues. Though I will say that most American metalcore bands do not have guitar riffs and licks that are as reminiscent of Heavy Metal as the riffs and licks of Babymetal are.

8:14 that is WAAY off. I don't even like Idol music but Idols work themselves half to death. Sometimes they straight up work to death. Being an Idol is not easy and generally requires more passion than just a desire to be famous.

Ok but like in the kpop and jpop scene they're trained for countless years after coming out top of the auditions filled with numerous people their companies treat them as working machines and they have tight schedules to the point that they're physically ill and they are expected to keep on smiling and keep giving fanservice. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BAND!!!!! Personally, I'd give these girls a round of applause. Metal is not easy. I personally have tried metal. Never worked. And I have been listening to metal since I was 8
Im a metalhead and i like this music but when that girl said "maybe they thought lets make metal awesome" anger arose, metal has always been awesome its one of the only genre that technical and shows the talent of great guitarist, drummers, bassist and singers, just because you dont like it dont say its not awesome.
I think some of them were just overdoing it and exaggerating their reactions and trying way too hard to make these songs sound bad for nothing.
Other genres showcase musical talent too. Like classically trained musicians and singers you can't tell me they don't have talent. Even some pop singers, they have talent too.
As a non-metal fan, I agreed with you until you said it was one of the only genres that show the talents of musicians...

Same! Even if the venue was kinda small in comparison to what they perform in Japan, but they had so much energy and power. Loved them live and can't wait to see them again this year. Plus, they got a bigger venue, which I am so happy about!

you know this not being my first time watching this, i would like to see a second video of this. . these were all early very pop songs, i thinkd itd be great to see some of there other harder songs over the years and preferably live performances, like rondo of nightmare and road of resistance
