The moment that Slide Away is released I can die happy
It's already on RUclips

Preffred original Slide away with Tony on drums ...Alan ruins the feel...just my opinion.
greatest song in the world
Knebworth slide away is probably the best thing to ever grace my ears, can’t wait for them to release it.
It's up mow, just not from these particular filmers, I believe. But 'Slide Away,' Knebworth, night 2 is absolutely on RUclips right now! You should check it out!

John Squire absolutely transformed the song here. Unreal stuff
Agreed. It was Woodstock worthy. And what I mean by that is this performance could be, should be as famous as The Who at Woodstock, or similar such performances.
Liam's voice is insane. As is Squires guitar and the whole band playing as a force. And let's never forget just HOW MANY classic songs Noel wrote in this period. Beyond comprehension really.
Can't wait for the proper versions of "Slide Away" and "I Am the Walrus" !
And My Big Mouth 🙏❤

I love Slide Away. I saw Oasis in 96 and met the entire band. They were amazing and Liam was drinking Jack Daniel's and chasing it with Corona.

I am Japanese high school student,so I don't listen to Oasis' songs at the same time.
But their songs move my heart!
Same here
Check out there's another Japanese band called Oasia played an Oasis song...
I'm mexican, friend and I feel you, bro.
Live Forever!
you have amazing english
the right music will always find the right person at the right time, no matter how long since it's been released. cheers bro
Squire takes this song to the next level here so so good
"The baton wasn't passed. We took that in 94." Noel is an absolute legend in every sense of the word. The brash confidence.
I grew up with Oasis. Those first 2 albums really changed my life. Listening to Live Forever as a 12 year old and Champagne Supernova 2 years later opened my mind up to the world. Its hard to explain but people my age will understand. This song is my Stairway to Heaven. "The baton wasn't passed...we took it." A perfect line that sums up how massive Oasis was, is and forever will be.
I fall in love with Oasis every single day. This band changed my life.
Watched this in the cinema, fell in love with John Squire’s guitar skill. He’s brilliant!
What a band, the soundtrack of my life.
Liam was so drunk that he didn't realise there was a second night! Very last of this breed of band and rock star, magic!
John in all his glory , one of my favourite guitarists
the Saturday was amazing. still get shivers. oasis at their mercurial selves, soaring above and beyond any others, this was the gig of a lifetime.
This video is from Sunday’s concert, night 2
The way people enjoying in the crowd gives me goosebumps. I'm happy for them
People were free then. Before everyone got plugged into the grid of social media and mobile phones .
At this moment, Oasis was the best band on the Planet 🌏
I took five friends to the cinema to see the documentary and they were thrilled even though they barely knew the band. One of them cried. I'm from Brazil and even from here Oasis still blows our minds.
Same, same in Spain 👌🏽
Que maravilha encontrar brasileiros por aqui hahahah #OasisPraSempre
Just imagine listening to Slide Away in the cinema, what a dream
The best there was the best there are the best there ever will be. Oasis live forever
No matter how many times I hear this song I still get goosebumps. The lyrics and melodies in the song shake my soul like no song ever has or probably ever will.
i'm 19 and i wasnt born yet in 90s britpop era so i know nothing about oasis but the first time i heard to this song, i fell in love right away and had this sing on my repeat playlist since then

Wembley 2000 (familliar to millions) is still the best live version for me.
Just yesterday I went to the cinema with my sister and it was biblical. ¡Just Amazing! We would have wanted go to that concert but I was 1 years old and my sister not yet was born.

No band will ever take it further or mean more to so many. Truly the last of the greats. The film captures a great moment in time in what now feels a very different era. This rendition of CS is absolutely epic
Have been listening to Oasis since the early to mid 90's and have to say that they are one of the very best bands I have heard in my 37 years on / off this planet.
Could not have had a better time during my teenage years with tunes like this amongst a host of others. Simply Superb!
I was there. Unforgettable moment. The litter fights, the fireworks, the torrential rain, Squire on guitar.
One of the best songs you could hear in concert
That concert must of been an amazing one for those who went

Wish I could've been there 🥺. This wonderful song always touches my soul everytime I hear it. Oasis is my favourite band since childhood and it always will be.
Man, what a great film this was. People in the cinema were all enjoying their asses off. A true keeper for the ages. Hopefully in some time this is available for everyone
Seeing Oasis in 96 myself it was unforgettable!
Finally opening up a time capsule from the best era in music since the 70s
I wholly agree w/you! 💃🏼♥️
I'm a teenager and Oasis are my life. Champagne Supernova is so icoonic, man!!
Bonehead and Quigsy were the kings of oasis. They left and the magic left. And when Bonehead came back and joined Liam's solo tour the tunes suddenly went up a notch. Respect to them both 🙌
ey.. standing on the shoulder of giants is a great album and heathen chemistry was solid. But yes, if there ever is a reunion, bonehead needs to be there.
Any reunion needs bonehead and guigsy, I love Andy b and gem don’t get me wrong but that’s not what the true oasis is in my opinion, any reunion wouldn’t be the same without guigs bonehead and whitey
@King LouisV each to their own man, I love all their lineups anyways so any reunion would put a smile on my face, but still would most prefer it with bonehead guigs and whitey 😄
You're funny.
Gem Archer and Andy Bell are way better musicians than those two. They're better guitarists than Noel Gallagher himself, indeed.
Nevertheless, I'd say the raw vibe of Oasis went away along with Bonehead and Paul Guigs
Wow, just an audience waving their hands, not screaming, no cellphones, just singing along with the band ✌️
my dude it was 1996, there were no cell phones.. Not with cameras anyway.

Así es maxi..
Nope
Squires is a fantastic guitarist a very tasteful player
I'm a big Squire fan but would say here he is displaying the complete opposite of tasteful playing. He's absolutely overplaying like some 80s hair metal wrong un. Too many notes played too fast. It stinks of cocaine.
@@sratus , It was only a year ago that The Stone Roses released The Second Coming! Personally I Fuckin Love It! But its as if Squire wanted to be like Page n it had Led Zepp guitar licks on Every Song! So perhaps that's the reason why he played like that? Anyway can't Wait till the Documentary comes out! Cheers 🍻
@@sratus Agreed. In this case he put way too many notes where they didn't need to be. He was just showing off IMO.
Johnny marr nails this solo perfectly IMO, sadly Squire over played it to death.
people don’t give Oasis the respect they deserve. we know, but the world need to know STILL to this day. Can’t let the songs die

To be 16, laying on the floor of the living room watching the chart show, and a song pops up, this band you never heard before. You need to be yourseeeelf. Lord. Even if I could I would never change that feeling with nothing. Nothing. Bless you all who were there in 1994 and bless you to all the kids who are tuning in ❤
I just saw it in the movies and it was spectacular. Thank you for this unique experience. I can't imagine how it was live

FAVORITE SONG
I was born in 1996. Oasis lives forever cos it lives in ourselves lads.. all around the fucking world.
MM x
I saw it yesterday. It has been a turning point in my life. The 90s were a moment, an instant in time called OASIS Knebworth. The moment Oasis reached the top as a world band, because Liam will never sing like that again. just history, just magic.
I pre-ordered the vinyl album I cannot wait to get it 😁
This is my favorite song in the oasis. I've been supporting them from Japan
I was there! Amazing memories, Oasis with John Squire as guest, as good as it gets 👌🙏
Oasis Mania at its best! Love the 90’s! 🧡
The mixing on this is amazing
Can't wait to hear the Slide Away version
I need a time machine as soon as possible!
legend movie is come .
I just realized: Liam looks like a young Peter Gabriel with Genesis. I think Liam's is a top, top singer. Now, after the craziness has settled, Noel has the better band, and has basically become a statesman; and gets all the recognition he deserves. But w/o Liam's voice and presence Oasis wouldn't have made it big. Also - the drummer NEVER gets mentioned. He was very good. recently I listened to official "Wonderwall" track; that is a great drum track.
he looks like Gabriel, even more at GMex '97
Celestial!Saw the movie the day before yesterday and it is worth every minute!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMAZING
Fantastic squire
Seeing this Friday.
Cannot wait
Gonna be the concert film of the decade
One of the best bands of all times!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Squire with Oasis at Wembley was easily the band’s top moment of the ‘90’s for me.
Eh, no. His wanking isn't even mediocre- he poops over great songs with all the noodling. No taste, no nuance. Noel is far better at playing FOR THE SONG, not playing for the sake of noodling.
@@VVVY777
Noel is better at playing his own songs, just as Squire is easily best at playing his. You know, the ones that inspired Gallagher in the first place. THAT’S why John is even fucking on stage with them. Hence, my comment about it being “the band’s top moment of the ‘90’s for me.”
Note that I made no mention whatsoever about the quality of the guitarist in question, as you did. If you have some sort of axe-to-grind with John Squire, maybe send him an e-mail. Or, at the very least, if you’re of a different opinion from mine on him being there, congratulations.
Oasis changed my life
Love how he’s just casually smoking a cig and his voice still sound top
They did a great job mixing the audio. You can hear the kick drum pumping through the speakers and the separation is great.
Yeah man no joke mixing soundbord recordings...

The 90’s what a time to be alive. Love seeing Whitey on drums. *OASIS* will never play on stage again. And watching this, that’s how il like it, There And Then not Here And Now ✌🏻😎
He was good in the studio, but, the limitations of his skill set and the material he was handed were both exposed onstage. I’ve always wondered how different things could’ve been with a proper drummer, like Simon Gilbert.
@@Fakename70 Nothing would’ve been different, it was all perfect 😎 If Oasis had flopped then fair enough
@@MrSmid888
I think "nothing would've been different" to a non-drummer who doesn't typically notice nor obsess over such things. But, I wasn't talking about their level of massive success, but, rather, the band's overall sound. A band is only ever going to SOUND as good as its drummer. Oasis were pretty good, sure, but, they typically SOUNDED like shit live, due in large part to the drums. Which were often buried in the mix beneath a wall of guitars anyway. A proper drummer who attacked the kit with a bit more power would've gone a long way in convincing me that these guys really were as great as the press said they were. I've long felt that the lack of a proper drummer is what held them back, and I often lamented that they didn't work more with Starkey. But, again, the material that the drummer - whomever it was - was given, was limited in creativity, never allowing much room for anything other than simply plodding along predictably as directed.
@@Fakename70Sound great live. I mean when you listen to Main Road you can hear the drums loud and clear. Nobody cares about the press, its fans are 100% happy with the sound, I remember my music exam at school doing the “listening” part, I mean what Joe public sits at home listening to Swamp Song and turns to grandma and says ‘granny I think Paul could’ve hit those drums with far more vigour’ 😂 Oasis are about the guitars, never the drums or guigs simple bass lines
@@MrSmid888
You say all that as if you're confident that everyone listens to live music the exact same way across-the-board. I fully understood the guitars - Noel's specifically - were the main draw for most amongst the musicians. Much like Slash being the lightning rod in whatever band he's been in over the last quarter century. But, not everyone is attracted to that.
Excellent Oasis, that was cool. I'm waiting for your other cool songs. I'm your fan. You are super. You are best. You are cool. You are my idol.
