I was there for this, cried like a baby. This song means a lot and I never thought I’d get to hear it live. I was so pumped for the reunion and managed to bag a ticket!
I’ve been waiting to hear him sing this song for years, and now I’m so happy to see this footage. He sounds so good nowadays and I’m so happy for it. Liam Gallagher’s the man. 🤘🏼
Cause he has a guilty conscience, cause he never sang them in the first place, and all the best b sides are noel, cause liam wasn't bothered at the time, was too busy getting fucked! ❤
@@Dave_Jee he sings with a lot more power and rasp this year compared to any other previous year in his solo career. Seems he's found a technique now that fits a good tone with also being able to keep his voice in check which is why he had to previously stop singing like that
Tried to get tickets for Glasgow at the time and was in a queue of thousands on ticketmaster. Saw the price of the tickets and wasn't arsed. Now I'm gutted - the whole setup and set list is incredible. Hats off to Liam for giving the fans what they deserve.
Had the best day ever seeing them live in 2005 as a 13 year old kid. It was at Newcastle Metro radio arena and we had seated tickets and i blagged my way through security and all the geordie lads put me on their shoulders. Im now 31 and safe to say ive been to a fair few gigs by now but that was very memorable for me. Time flies, enjoy the ride 🙏
2005 for me at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado my ex wife got plastered , made a scene , and had security "suggest" that I take her home ! you could cut the tension between Noel and Liam even in the bleachers
Thanks for sharing the great video. I don't know why, but I couldn't stop crying when Liam was singing I Don't Feel Down repeatedly. To me it feels like his song has the soul of a pure boy that transcends technology.
@@BloodSweatAndMeth Noel's stated multiple times that at this particular point in time he didn't own a capo, so by that logic this was always how Noel intended it to sound. The no capo thing checks out as well as if you look at early live performances, you never ever see one being used. It was only in the later days of Oasis that Noel started using a capo to make the chord shapes of Rock 'n' Roll Star easier to play, for example, even though he never changed the key. These days he plays Half The World Away with a capo on the second fret because of personal preferences I guess, but this always was and always will be the original key
@@BloodSweatAndMeth I said that Noel uses a capo to raise the key these days, not lower it. Listen back to the original anyway, it's in the exact key that Liam's singing it

Something about his voice on some of the quiet songs - when he unlocks a new gear. It’s sooooooo mint. Just an edge of honesty that cuts through the bluster. Magic, really.
Finally, a big thank you for Noel calling it quits! Otherwise we would never get these album tours and for Liam to sing Noel’s songs. As shattered as I was in 2009. This is amazing and I am sad we will never get this tour in Australia.
Went to see him last night in Glasgow. First concert I’ve ever been to and it was fucking amazing. I’d love if they got back together. Can’t imagine how longtime oasis fans would feel
Thanks so much for uploading this, I decided I wasn't getting my phone out for any videos, just wanted to live in the moment and relive my younger crazier days. He was incredible, seen Oasis a dozen times and his voice on Monday was right up there with any of those early gigs. I wasn't sure Liam singing this would work but fuck how wrong was I haha. Quite an emotional moment for me actually for a few reasons. Absolutely smashed rkid.
I really hope on the reunion tour they get who ever mixed Liam’s voice for the last few years and doing what ever magic he is doing with it bc he should be Liam’s guy on the upcoming tour
What is bro waffling about Liam has to sing Noel's songs coz none of his own songs get the crowd as hyped. That's the literal opposite of what you're saying

It’s for the first time to see Liam singing Half the world away
Noel's buying chocolate. Liam's singing his songs. All's right with the world
He’s not actually been buying him chocolates 🤣🤣
Paying for the chocolate with the royalties from Liam singing his songs...
Now they back together
fun fact: at the moment he sang this song, they had already reconciled and plans were made for the 25 world tour

Awesome! THanks for sharing, a proper dedication to his 'little brother' lol

You guys obviously no zero about singing 😂
He's a legend, but Oasis in their prime, 20 something years ago, Liam was amazing. You're commenting on a non Liam led song as well so....
I've watched this video more than 20 times. His voice is so addictive.
Didn’t realise he sang songs that Noel sang. I’m seeing him tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Impressed with that at his age. It stays consistently high in his register for a long time, that tune.

I hope we get an official release of one of these gigs! It’s fantastic to hear Liam singing this song especially!
This is so good, love it to bits.
One of the most poignant and beautiful of all the Oasis songs and it translates into any genre and so beautiful with a string quartet.
Finally after all these years safe to say favourite O song
If by any chance in the near future he sings "Talk Tonight" then I can die happy ✨️🥹🎤

I’m seeing him tomorrow night, this has made me even more excited, haven’t seen him live since oasis were still together
Wow. What a vocal on this version. Would happily listen to this over and over.
Better than I expected and just as good as Noel’s vocals on it. Both different but both great
To both: Liam & Kev.....

So good to hear liam singing the songs noel chose to sing. Its like how it was supposed to sound like😅

Liam: "...to my little brother..."
Noel: "I'm actually five years older than you."
