Holy shit. Looking back on this it doesnt seem THAT long ago i was watching these. Time goes fast in hind-sight. Imo tv2 program quality started going down hill after the introduction of tv 3 in november '89. There was much better programs and movies on when we only had 2 channels. Now look, we have 12 plus channels (freeview) and there is never anything worth watching anymore. Cooking shows, renovation shows, "reality" shows - nah its all shit now imo. Thats why i mainly watch old movies and tv series on youtube.
It's the third and fourth ones that i remember from my year in New Zealand, 1993 and 1994. Much different from what was going on in the UK with a unified ITV branding.
@mikeyfreaklover ive got a full length video ident of the TV2 bus and it went for a few minutes in length, still got it on a VHS tape, i dont have a video capture card on my PC though, would love to copy it over, it shows a tv2 badge and them getting the old bus out of storage before restoration. really cool clip and i doubt many people have it.
Notice how everything was much brighter and more colourful? And in the latest idents it's all much darker and greyer, from the atmosphere to the people wearing drab clothes.
the second one was originally used by ABC America in 1977. 1 year later Nine Network in Australia used it until 2006. and btw also that "it takes 2" jingle was later used in the UK in 1998 by ITV2. basically based on a song i think..............
Ya missed one circa 1988 - Network Two with the blue, pink and purple background with translucent squares. That one didn't last long. It's here on You Tube too.

+da5idnz Yeah, and with ads how people say they're longer than before I've compared ads on a tape from 1996 and now and they're the same length on average from them and now.
I have also compared ads from 1988-2008 and they have been essentially the same length the whole time, they were around 3 min in the late 80s and moved to an average of 4 minutes from then on. I dont think you see indents any more as much, as the time is more valuable in other advertising
