- A look back at the history of the graphics used in ONE (Network) News.
Also includes older TV ONE Idents from 1979-2008.
Special thanks to RUclips users Elliottsmi and DanNews for uploading so much archival News content on RUclips!
Some clips probably (c) TVNZ
Seems very American influenced during the 90s. NBC-like in part.
wow 2003 is pretty savvy looking stuff, was overseas then and missed all that, nice one
i second that an the weather at 4:32 was the best too
I was like 6 in 1985, Quite a nostalgia hit hearing theme tune again. Groovy
Since I was a 90's kid is still vividly remember the ones from the 90's onwards
I miss the old weather graphics, with the asterisk shaped suns.
The sliding panels of the 70’s
back when a simple good evening was enough.
Any idea when One stopped doing the share market news?
Hey found an error here. You have the news indent for December 23 2005 which would of been Judy Baileys last show but it also says Jim Hickey doing weather. Jim left I think at the end of 2003 along with Richard Long, it was Brendon and Karen doing weather for most of 2005 and all the way into 2007.
asasinz2 you are darn right he also used a 2007 weather clip in a 2006 bulletin
can someone do this with the breakfast graphics?
Ahhhh yes was waiting for the 2005 one. That's the one I remember. Good old days
Remember the first one from when I was a kid. Obviously influenced by the LWT one. I think the Thames TV one is the best ever though.
@kLemon Agreed...Simon and Alison didn't do News in the early 90's...their first clip must have been later than stated. (sorry I voted your comment down by mistake and don't know how to remove it!)
that Jim Hickey clip at 4:04 is completely out of place. A couple of the 90's bulletins have the wrong idents
Judy and Simon will forever be iconic
that early One '75 clip and logo holds up pretty well. Thanks for posting. I remember the 1979 clip with Bill McCarthy, wonder what happened to him?
Those graphics were so awesome and the familiar faces I've never met before
2005 has to be one of my favourites
