- Making its much-anticipated debut in the American market for 2024 is the Honda XL750 Transalp, a middleweight adventure bike equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels and ample suspension travel. Nestled between the entry-level CB500X and the liter-class Africa Twin in Honda’s current lineup, how does the Transalp fare?
To find out, we took it for a two-day, 250-mile test run amidst the vibrant autumn foliage of central Pennsylvania. Our route included the rugged Section 4 of the Backcountry Discovery Routes BDR-X PA Wilds and winding backroads around State College.

Greetings from Germany!! I have this Bike in Black and i love it!! 1000km in one month..nice
It also comes with 90.5hp in Europe 🎉
I do wish we had the option for the blue and white.
As soon as Honda offers the white here in the US, I'll buy one.
I am positive it's an excellent bike, but when you got to remove a fuel tank to do an air filter change, that's an issue. From what I see, it takes a bit of work.
Especially when it's a bike that is supposed to be made to be ridden in dusty conditions. Big fail on Honda's part in my opinion.
whew-tough sledding....
While old school dual sports were definitely faster to service this, It doesn't look that bad. If it is like the Africa Twin, there are push pins that release the side covers. The first time you do it, you will be cursing Honda. Once you figure out the trick to those things, they aren't half bad and the job isn't terrible. Really you should have to service this in the field, so not a big issue.
Hi your title says 2024 Transalp but you open by saying you are testing the 2023 model.
What are the differences between the 2023 and the 2024 please. I live in Europe so I imagine there may be some subtle differences
92bhp in the UK 👍
The 755 produces little over 90 bhp
I'm seriously considering this bike in the spring, but if KTM is offering the 790 adventure at the 10 grand price point, I will probably opt for cruise control and superior electronics.
Better suspension on the 790
But the rest of the bike Honda is better.
Looks like a great bike but did I hear right that you're happy with 2,000 miles of use from those Bridgestones?
Those tyres are not OE
What type of skid plate and crash bars are those?
Honda OE
i ve seen tons of reviews of tenere700,vstrom800 and this new transalp ,couse if everything go well, next spring i ll buy a new bike.mostly in europian videos couse this bike its many months available in europe.i have to mention, that americans are more honest with this bike.and they like it more.and they dont find so many bad things.i like u.s. youtubers reviews.i guess americans are not so fussy
I believe some reviewers in the UK at least, are influenced by some other motives that are provided by certain manufacturers, other then the ride quality of the bikes.
i agree.and i think this happens also in italians.and the thing is....there are too many of them, too many uk reviewers.i dont know why....and they are driving into the goddamm rain!hahaha...honestly i really like u.s. moto-youtubers and reviews.@@Steve-motorcycles
