in all honesty all i got to say is that this song made me cry..
this one hits me so hard because my grammy passed away from dementia and every single lyric is so correct. this is why movements is my favorite band.

This is why music is a gift, the words bond people.
For me it was my great grandfather...I was his caretaker and my great grandma was recovering from hip surgery so the 2nd verse "this is a story about a man, that I know, he knows my face but he doesn't know me" hits deep. His dementia/altzeimers made him forget me most days even though he'd always ask if we were going to see grandma at the physical rehab center. That 2nd verse kills me inside.

Same here, my grandma passed away in February during covid. No one was allowed to go visit her and she couldn’t understand

Both of my biological grandparents on my dad's side have Alzheimer's, so I worry about it too. My papa, that I grew up around most is struggling with dementia right now. It's absolutely terrible to see once perfectly sharp minds dull so quickly. Thank you guys for every song you put out. I am still waiting to hear a song that I don't absolutely love lol

My grandpa lived in Mexico and my dad lives here in the US. Well a year ago, before my grandpa passed away, my dad went and visited him. My dad told me that my grandpa would tell him stories about Antonio and his brothers and sisters and the things they used to do when they were kids. My dad is Antonio. My grandpa didn’t remember his own son... my grandpa passed away this year.

This song hits hard my Granny died of Alzheimer’s when I was 12 I was super close to her and this is exactly what it’s like. Going to visit and knowing by the look in her eyes that no matter what she says she has no idea who you are, it’s a rough reality.
I remember them playing this song at my warped tour date and the lyrics having such an effect on everyone there that we all just listened in still and silent
Made me think of my great grandfather who went from one of the largest and strongest people I knew with a super quick wit and knew the answer to just about anything I could ask him, to a frail and small man who didn't know who anyone was or how to tie his shoes in less than 2 years.

my grandma had dementia. living with her through all this process was hard for me. seeing her mind gradually collapse to ruins was painful. she's dead now and i miss her, she was the kindest person ever. she had a heart of gold, she was a smiley caring person. why the worst things happen to purest souls?

But tonight it made me cry. Im sure I've teared up from it before, but this time I actually cried from reality, like full on tears flowing down my face and snot running down my nose.

I saw them as an ad on my Instagram feed, and I’m glad I discovered them, their songs are amazing and really get to me.
I just discovered this band last week and I'm obsessed. This whole album is awesome. The music definitely isn't as complex as I usually listen to but the vocalist's voice is awesome and his lyrics are really deep and original. It's been a while since a band has had this kind of impact on me due to their lyrics alone.
I just recently rediscovered you guys a few weeks ago. My grandpa passed away from dementia/stroke in that timeframe as well. Deadly Dull hits me so close to home that it hurts, it’s literally a song about him and what ailments were harming him and how he passed. He didn’t care about himself, he cared about other people more. He just wanted to make people happy.I can’t stop replaying this song...Thank You, this helps.

My dad has Alzheimer's disease, and... I now know what I'm going to listen to after it perceptibly takes him. There's also a song by Daughter that haunts me about the same topic. God... Movements has really fucking saved me as of late through all of their work. It's surreal how close it all hits to home... This is where I can find catharsis.

This song makes me sad in the sense of the lyrics and message. But makes me happy it has been written and performed so well from an amazing band such as these guys. Movements brings back melodic emo with a hard hitting thunder of a force. I'm so glad these guys exist. I haven't heard such music like this since early Thursday.
