On the last one did you cook it on high medium or low?
And Do you know how hot the pizza stone was when you launched it?
I just bought the halo 16 after watching this exact video Thanks
Pretty sure I was running it on high and I’m sorry, I can’t remember the stone temp. Probably around 800°F
@@DiffFamilyReviews thanks
thanks for the screen idea, l was having the same issue.
Thanks for watching!
Can you measure the top of the Halo Cart and give me the dimensions inside the raised lip. Everything I am seeing seems to be a little bogus. Halo site says the measurements are 30.8” L x 15.16”W. 15" seems really small to fit that Halo oven with a 16" stone inside it. I really like that cart, but I am wanting to set my Roccbox oven on it for when I do popups. I did choose the Roccbox over this oven after watching hours of reviews of these types of ovens. Great video!
28.5” wide (side to side) x 23.75” (front to back) inside the lip. I own the Roccbox, it will definitely fit.
The last one looked the best. We should have pizza instead of turkey on Thanksgiving!😂
We could do both!
great review, would you be able to do a ranking of all the pizza ovens you have reviewed. i am so confused as to what to get. i have the campfire pizza oven but dont really like it much anymore.
What’s your budget?
300 to 500@@DiffFamilyReviews
@@johnjzak9339 I would go with a Solo Stove Pi Prime solostove.pxf.io/PyRvaM and spend the rest on accessories or go with one of their bundles. I think the Solo Stove Pi Prime is the best bang for your buck. If you really want to go 16 inches then the Halo or Ooni.
thank you, i was thinking solo but i like the halo rotating stone feature. @@DiffFamilyReviews
@@johnjzak9339 great oven as well
Just got this for Christmas, can you please post of a link of the pizza pan you go to pull out the pizzas?

Thank you did you get the 12 inch one or the 16 inch one? @@DiffFamilyReviews
@@randykopczyk6940 I have the 14 inch peel for the 16 inch oven.
So... in general and for the $, like it over the Koda?
That’s really hard to say because I know the Koda 16 like the back of my hand. I’ve made hundreds of pizzas in it. I need a little more practice with the Halo but so far I’m really liking it. I’m thinking about getting a thicker biscotto stone for it. I have a feeling that combination will put it over the top. The other night I banged out a bunch of thick crust screened pizzas on the Halo and they were great. I can’t do that on the Koda.
@@DiffFamilyReviews Had heard the next version will have separate control of the under stone heat
@@DiffFamilyReviews - Did you cut the heat down when you launched the pizza? Would limit the continued underside heat, etc.
Also, could finish my lifting the pie off the stone for the last "few" seconds
That would be perfect.
For the screened pizzas it was on high the whole time, for the others directly on the stone I turned it down after launching. No need to dome as the bottom was getting done before the top.
Any updates? Do you still recommend or is there a different oven you would recommend. I guess if you could only have one which would it be? Thank you
I still like the Halo for NY Style over all the other pizza ovens. I’m partial to my Koda 16 for Neapolitan style as I can do larger pizzas on it. But I’m good with any of them. I can say that if I only had $300 to spend the Solo Pi Prime is the best deal out there.
Thank you
Does the solo pi prime have a rotating table? Or do you have to shimmy the pizza around? I’m just trying to figure out what is the best all-around pizza oven, I want to get it right the first time.
@@DakotaOklahomaFan The Solo does not have a rotating stone and you do have to turn the pizza. The only other ovens that do have a rotating stone besides Halo are Everdure and Blackstone. Everdure is expensive and the build quality on the Blackstone is questionable. I would go with the Halo if you want a rotating stone.
Thank you again for all the help. I really appreciate it.
The discount code DIFF10 does not work. Is there another code?
Sorry, it doesn’t work while they’re discounted but should work after the holiday deals end.
Any idea how many pizzas a 1lb tank can cook?
Hard for me to gauge as I'm always swapping tanks to use on something else.
@@DiffFamilyReviews it winds up being 2 pie's
@@bobreichel Thanks! Good to know
Pizza cooks for ten minutes at about 425 to 450 i forget which
This is not designed for neopolitan. You don’t need to heat the stone long in this one. Maybe 5 min
Ooni Koda 16 is still the best pizza oven available
I love the Ooni 16 as well, nut no rotating stone!
Mine reached a higher temp when I turned the tank upside down.
Never tried that 🤔
For real? Is that safe? I know my camper van is mounted sideways.
